Lets take a journey of 6 days in the life of Pakistani's and see the nightmare that is an Islamic society. The articles are randomly chosen from two leading English dailies in Pakistan. Welcome to hell. 15-06-2006 Dawn relates how a Judge has barred the forced marriage of two girls (ages 6 and 8) into a rival family to compensate for a dispute over payment for three buffaloes. In defense of the Jirga (tribal elders) who ruled in such an 'unusual' fashion it maybe mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad has set a precedence in child marriages by marrying the 6 year old daughter of his best friend. Maybe the Jirga just did not know any better. It might be noted that the Judge and police acted only after the affair was mentioned in the English press. 16-06-2006 It has been oft repeated the Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. This article is an example of this tolerance that many in the Muslim world exhibit. To quote “According to reports reaching here, the trouble started when Hafiz Qamar Javed, prayer leader at local Masjid Ahl-e-Hadith, burnt some trash near his mosque. The fire attracted neighbors, including people from the rival sect, who propagated that Javed was burning pages from Quran. Within no time a huge mob turned up at the scene and attacked Javed. Nishtar Park it may be recalled was the scene of the suicide bombing during the celebration of Muhammad's Birthday in which high ranking religious leaders were blown away. The police the commission found have no equipment to defuse a bomb “How do you defuse a live bomb then? the tribunal asked. “People pray to the Almighty and we recite Kalima”, he replied. A word of caution, this method will only work for those who have embraced the call of Islam. Her ex-lover Jameel, also a gymnast, attacked her while they rehearsing for their performance Friday night.” “According to hospital sources one of Asma’s eyes was damaged and her tongue was also burnt. “ 18-06-2006 “Religious and tribal elders of Danishkol in Pandialay tehsil have established a Quami Lashkar (national army) to implement the ban on musical instruments. Around two-dozen tribal elders along with 500 gunmen have been patrolling the area for the last three days and imposing fines on tribesmen found violating the new rules. Sources said the Lashkar had managed to collect thousands of rupees in fines. It's nice to know that a lifetime in the West has a 'civilizing' effect on the Muslims in those distant lands... 19-06-2006 MMA wants assurance on hudood laws before signing CoD Meanwhile the defenders of faith, morality and everything nice have tried to ensure that the Hadood laws are not tampered with. These are the very same laws that insist that a female rape victim must present 4 male witnesses or be stoned as an adultress. “Sources said that the MMA would seek assurance that any political party coming to power would not seek to amend or repeal Islamic laws, including the Hudood Ordinance. They said that the MMA would not sign the Charter of Democracy until all its reservations were addressed.” So much for democracy Mr. Bush. 19-06-2006 “Taliban on Sunday warned male doctors against carrying out ultrasound tests on female patients. In a pamphlet from the “North Waziristan Mujahideen”, they demanded that female doctors be appointed to carry out the procedure. “We will award punishment in accordance with Islamic laws if any male doctor is found to be carrying out ultrasound tests on female patients,” read the pamphlet pasted on the main streets of Miranshah.” Need I say more. Q.E.D. 20-06-2006 And no day goes by without the involvement of a Pakistani in a terrorist plot. These devout Muslims always eager to lift the banner of Islam. Born to be bad?... 20-06-2006 “The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday granted bail to Nazar Muhammad who had allegedly murdered his daughter and her lover on seeing them having sex. Allowing bail, the court observed that the complainant had mentioned in the first information report that his son Azam had an affair with Nazar’s daughter Zahida Parveen, which demonstrated that Azam was responsible for his own death. The court also observed that the alleged occurrence took place in Nazar’s house and secondly the challan of the case had not been submitted to a trial court for two years. The prosecution alleged that Nazar gunned down Azam and Zahida when they were having sex in his house.” Yes apparently logic DOES play a part in the due process of law!!! 20-06-2006 “A man allegedly shot dead his wife as a punishment for not bringing dowry from her parents at Majra of Sambrial tehsil on Monday. Reports said Muhammad Akram (33) had married Shazia Bibi (26) about seven months ago and the latter’s poor parents had not given her dowry. Akram
waited for her dowry for seven months and shot her dead on
Monday. He managed to escape. The dowry murders like the acid cases are a common occurrence. Proof positive that Islam definitely teaches respect for women! |
