The Treasure of Scientific Knowledge in Koran
18 Mar, 2008
My article A Few Questions to Dr Zakir Abdul Karim Naik was posted in the FFI website on February 17 and till date it is uncertain whether Dr Naik would come forward with his replies. So far, the article has inspired 64 readers to register their valued comments. A devout disciple of Dr Naik commented that he (Dr Naik) is capable of tackling one billion infidels like me. Perhaps he is right. And most probably, it is below the dignity for a great scholar like Dr Zakir Naik to respond to the queries of a humble author like me. But I consider myself lucky enough that a learned believer has tried to enrich me with his extremely instructive replies.
I request to recall the readers that my first question was regarding the age of the earth. Scientific studies assert that this earth is more than 3 billion years old, while following Islamic scriptures one has to conclude that Almighty Allah has created this earth only 4,137 years ago. The above mentioned learned believer commented that the Holy Koran does not say that Prophet Muhammad was 90th descendant of Adam and hence my calculations are baseless and contrary to Islamic scriptures. Perhaps the said learned believer does not know that every article, before it is published in the FFI website, has to undergo close scrutiny by a board of learned editors. So, not even a single statement in my article is contrary to Islamic scriptures.
My second question was-What was Allah doing before creating this heaven and earth 4,137 years ago? And did Allah exist before his creation? According to the said believer, it was a foolish question as Allah is eternal and hence he has no past, present and future. According to Dr Naik, Allah is best defined by 4 verses of the 112th Sura (Sura Ekhlas) of the Holy Koran that says - “Say; Allah is one, the eternal Allah. He begot none, nor was He begotten. None is equal to Him” [tr: N J Dawood (word God replaced by Allah as, according to Dr Zakir Naik, the word God cannot be the true translation of Allah]. So, it is better to investigate the real nature of Allah, as narrated in the Koran and reliable Hadith. However, a hadith throws some light on the whereabouts of Allah before he created this heaven and earth. It says, “I asked the Prophet, ‘Where was Allah before His creation?’ Muhammad replied: ‘He was in a cloud with no air underneath or above it” (Tabari I:204 ). But the question remains - Who created those clouds in which Allah took shelter, before Allah had begun his creation?
As Muslims do not worship the idol of Allah, many believe that Islamic Allah is formless. But the notion is entirely wrong. Islamic Allah has a physical body, which is 60 cubit tall (Shahih Muslim-6809). Furthermore, Allah’s appearance is like a human being, as Allah created Adam in his own image (SM-2872). Another Hadith (SM-6325) says that a Muslim, during a conflict, should not deface another Muslim, as Allah has created every human face like that of his own. This Hadith confirms the notion that the physical appearance of Allah is more or less like human beings, but he is 60 cubits tall and, perhaps, he remain invisible to man. The verse (6:101) of the Holy Koran says that Allah does not have a wife and this confirms that Allah is almost a male human being, but he has extraordinary miraculous power or qudrah. Moreover, Allah is a sexually capable man.
During the life-time of Prophet Muhammad, a debate arose between the Jews and the Christians of Medina, where the Prophet himself was present. In that debate, the Jews were refuting the claim of Christians that Jesus was the son of Allah. The Jews ridiculed the Christians and said - “Did Allah sleep with Maryam?” This could have been a basis for the Christians to establish their claim. But the Prophet was not ready to admit the same as in that case Allah could have been convicted of committing adultery. At last, the Prophet could settle the dispute by saying that, as Allah had created Adam from clay by his extraordinary miraculous power (qudrah), in a similar manner, Allah created Jesus, in Maryam’s womb, with his qudrah. The incident confirms beyond all doubt that Islamic Allah is almost a male human being capable of procreating a baby in the womb of a human lady by sexual intercourse. [The incident has been narrated in KABAR PATHEY (On the Road to Kabaa),Vol-2, p-190) by the reputed Bengali author Mr Abdul Aziz al Aman]. One may note here that, though Allah is a male human being, his masculinity has ever remained unused, as he has no spouse and he does not commit adultery with any other woman. Experience says that, if a human organ is left unused for quite a long time, it loses its usability. So, perhaps Allah has gone impotent due to non utilization of his masculinity for past thousands of years.
In addition to a 60 cubit tall physical body, Allah has physical attributes like wrathfulness, envy, cruelty and so on. Due to his enviousness, Allah becomes violently angry when a man worships any other God besides Allah. He punishes such a sinner with grievous punishment (azab), either in this world or in with hell-fire in his next life. Moreover, Allah is highly biased or discriminative. He is most merciful (Rahmanir-rahim) only to the Muslims, but a cruel despot, a ferocious demon to the non-Muslims. According to Vedantic viewpoint, such a god with a physical body and physical attributes, is incapable of resisting the onslaught of time and hence cannot be eternal. Such a God has to undergo birth and death and is bound to get older with time and ultimately perish like all other living beings. So the Vedantic God Brahman is formless, genderless and devoid of any physical attributes. It is finer than the finest and hence cannot be seen with the eyes, cannot be heard by the ears and cannot be perceived by any other senses. The only attribute It has is consciousness. Such a God alone is capable of sustaining the onslaught of time and be eternal. It is easy to understand that it was not possible for the illiterate nomads of Arabia, the authors of the creed called Islam, due to lack of adequate grey matter in their brains, to comprehend such a God. Just telling one that “our Allah is eternal” is not enough. It must have to be established by reasons. Though FFI does not permit a writer to glorify any religious belief, I have no other option but say these words regarding the Hindu Vedantic God, as the same reader asked me to say what Hinduism says about the eternity of God.
It should also be pointed out in this context that in every lecture, Dr Zakir Naik says that Allah of Koran is omniscient and omnipresent. But even a billy goat can understand that such an Allah, with 60 cubit tall physical body, can never be omnipresent. In such a case, Allah’s body will be torn into pieces endangering his very existence. Only the Vedantic God Brahman, devoid of a physical body and physical attributes, can be omnipresent and omniscient. Perhaps Dr Zakir Naik is aware of all these things, but he, being a slave of Arab imperialism, has no right to tell the truth. He will instantly be declared an apostate and his life will be at stake, if he ever attempts to tell the truth.
In this context, it is extremely important to note that, in one of his lectures, while he was comparing Islam with Hinduism, Dr Zakir told a blatant lie. Following the Vedantic God Brahman, he said that Koranic Allah is genderless. The present author cannot read Arabic and hence he is unable to say what is written in Arabic Koran. But in all its English translations, the authors have mentioned Allah as “He”. Had Allah been projected genderless in Arabic Koran, they would have used the word “It”, instead of “He”.
As I have pointed out earlier, in the said lecture, where Dr Zakir has tried to establish similarities between Hinduism and Islam, the CD begins with the pictures of distant galaxies taken by NASA with the help of the Hubble Space Telescope. This is to impress the viewers that Allah, the creator of heaven and earth, has created those galaxies within 6 days of his creation. At the same time, Dr Zakir Naik tells lies and says that Allah has created this universe. In tune with Dr Naik, A reader of my article A Few Questions to Dr Zakir Naik on Islam has commented that, Allah has created this universe from nothingness. Bur the wisdom of Allah, as reflected in the Koran, reveals that Allah was ignorant of even the existence of the solar system, existence of other planets and the real nature of the stars and planets, not to speak of the vast universe, of which the earth is a very insignificant part. The Koran only says that Allah has created the heaven and earth and nowhere in that book there is the mentioning of the universe. Moreover, the Koranic earth is flat like a carpet covered by a solid roof (21: 32) called the sky and the sun and the moon revolving round this flat stationary earth (21: 33). The verse (67: 3) of the Koran asserts that, Allah has created the roof and the seven heavens with such perfection that no one is able to find a crack in Allah’s creation. All such revelations obviously reflect very limited knowledge of Allah regarding real nature of this vast universe.
Even for the sake of argument, if one admits that Allah has created this universe with all its distant stars, galaxies and nebulae, one has to admit, according the Koranic descriptions, all these heavenly bodies lie below the solid sky, above which Allah has created his seven heavens. Furthermore, according to modern astronomical data, these distant stars and galaxies are hundreds of thousand or millions of light-years away from the earth. It necessarily implies that the solid sky, as well as, the seven heavens of Allah, is also millions of light-years away from the earth. So it becomes really difficult to comprehend or, to speak frankly, horribly unbelievable that the Prophet, during his journey to heaven (miraj) covered such a distance within a few worldly hours. Dr Zakir Naik may argue that the divine animal Buraq and Allah’s qudrah made this impossible possible.
In the present context, it is necessary to mention a few other extremely ridiculous astronomical knowledge of Allah, as reflected in the Koran and other Islamic scriptures. It has been pointed out earlier that Allah is ignorant of the fact that the earth is spherical in shape. The verse (17: 12) of the holy Koran says, “We made the night and the day twin marvels. We enshrouded the night with darkness and gave light to the day, so that you may seek the bounty of your Lord and learn to count the seasons and the years. We have made all things manifestly plain to you”. The text of the verse is sufficient to prove that Allah is quite ignorant of the diurnal motion of the earth. One can easily understand that It is not possible for Allah to comprehend the rotation of the earth, which according to him is flat like a carpet. The verse (18: 83-86) of the Koran says that the sun sets in a marshy land and the Macedonian Prince Alexander went to the spot where the sun sets. He also observed that the sun was setting in a pond.
A hadidh by Bukhari says, “I walked hand in hand with the Prophet when the sun was about to set. We did not stop looking at it. The Prophet asked, ‘Do you know where the sun goes at sunset?’ I replied, ‘Allah and His Apostle know better.’ He said, ‘It travels until it falls down and prostrates itself underneath the Throne. The angels who are in charge of the sun prostrate themselves, also. The sun asks permission to rise again. It is permitted. Then it will prostrate itself again but this prostration will not be accepted. The sun then says, “My Lord, where do You command me to rise, from where I set or from where I rose?” Allah will order the sun to return whence it has come and so the sun will rise in the west" (Shahi Bokhari: V4B54N421).This hadith helps one to confirm what has been said earlier.
The texts of some ahadith also imply that Allah is ignorant of the annual movement of the sun and, hence, the real cause of changes of seasons. For example, Tabari ( I:232) says “Gabriel brings to the sun a garment of luminosity from the light of Allah’s Throne according to the measure of the hours of the day. The garment is longer in the summer and shorter in the winter, and of intermediate length in autumn and spring. The sun puts on that garment as one of you here puts on his clothes.” A Bokhari hadith, in this context, says, “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘The Hell Fire complained to its Lord saying, “O my Lord! My different parts are eating each other up.” So, He allowed it to take two breaths, one in winter, the other in summer. This is the reason for the severe heat and bitter cold you find in weather” (V4B54N482). Another hadith mentions an extremely ridiculous thing and says, “The sun and the moon were in eclipse for seven days and nights.” (Tabari I:332).
From the above narrations, it is not difficult for a reader to understand what kind of treasure of scientific knowledge there is the Koran and other Islamic scriptures.
But one is astonished to see that Muslims scholars, only to befool the kafirs, writing books on science in the Koran and say Koran mentions Big-Bang theory, nuclear physics, genetic science and every other modern scientific topic. There is not even an iota of doubt that the contents of all such books and essays are blatant lies and fit for the horde of donkeys called believers. These lies helped me a lot to understand Dr Naik and to identify him as a model, employed by the rich Arabs in their video ads to promote sale of Islam.
To conclude, I should say that, I feel pity for Dr Zakir Naik. Being a son of the land of Vedanta, he has set out to sell a decomposing carcass of Arabia, the stink odour of which is making people to vomit. But Dr Naik is saying, “It is the best thing in the world and everyone should adore it”. However, it is not clear what is inspiring Dr Naik, whose routine job is to denounce Hinduism, to use the Hindu surname Naik (perhaps with pride), which is simply a corrupt of Sanskrit nâyaka (a leader).

It's absurd to claim according to the Quran or the Torah that the Earth is 4,137 or 5,768 years old respectively! No more comment is needed.

Allah being the creator of the UNIVERSE, his Knowledge definitely exceeds All Humans. Therefore, Muslims in every country MUST obtain Scientific-Knowledge only from Koran, period. These knowledge would be imparted to them by their Imams. Just as hospitals & restaurants are penalized for serving ham to Muslims, Universities & Schools must be penalized for teaching Infidel Knowledge to Muslims. They must either hire Imams or set up madrassas for Muslim students.

Mr. Abul Kasem , an ex.moslem from Bangladesh has done commanding and scolarly job in exposing ALLA,MO,QQURRAN and ISLAM ,after conducting extensive and exhaustive research of the QQURRAN and other hadis, sira and all his writtings are published either as books and as serialized articles at this site and also in faithfreedom.org. His writtings are all based on truth, facts and referenced from ISLAMIC books, authentic sources. Nobody - no ISLAMIC scholar can even answer his expose !!!!! Even other wise - QQURRAN and other ISLAMIC books are riddled with contradictions, mundane, drab, utterly stupid sayings and talk. QQURRAN do not have the capacity to be considered as a great repository of wisdom and as a guide for good living and spiritual value. No knowledge in QQURRAN - forget about science. It is outrageous on the part of hardcore ISLAMISTS to try to hoodwink the rest of world ( ofcourse the believers- Moslems as well ) by talking on grandiose level with bombast and bluff. QQURRAN is actually unholy and Mo was most brutal, evil, cruel, uncivilized with primitive knowledge. Now, It is most admirable that Dr. Radhasyam has taken the responsibility to research and expose this evil so called religion - ISLAM and it's ruthless ,unholy profiteer MO . Otherwise the evil, wicked, convoluted follower of MO - the great ZAKIR NAIK with his wild imaginations, hallucinations like his boss Mo of ISLAM - is going real crazy to compare his (MO's )madness blabber, psychopathic hallucinations with Hindu scriptures - How outrageous , how ridiculous and how primitive this guy called ZAKIR can get and stoop ? Hindu religion and Hindu scriptures and God was never even mentioned in QQURRAN - the madmans rants . If ALLA was all knowing and all powerful and present - then why did he fail miserably about SANATANA dharma. After SANATANA DHARMA is the oldest dharma in the oldest language sanskrit and the concept of God and worship, prayers -was developed there . ISLAM is a fraud ,fake religion, a copied version of judaism, christianity. No doubt in that. Flush QQURRAN - the manual of terror, hate ,fear, darkness, fascism, intolerance, killings, totalitarianism , into the toilet .

On the Holy Qur’an and Its Interpretation THE QUR’AN IS THE EXPRESSION AND EXPLANATION OF GOD’S LAWS OF CREATION OR “NATURE,” AND THE STRONGEST AND IMMUTABLE SOURCE OF RELIGIOUS RULES AND PILLARS. The Qur’an is God’s miraculous, matchless message that has been sent to all humanity via His last Messenger. With the Qur’an God has shown humanity, one last time, a short-cut to His good pleasure. He has communicated to us about His Essence, Attributes, and Names. He has expressed in the most explicit way, leaving no room for any misunderstanding, His will to be known and recognized in the correct way, to be believed in and worshipped. Almighty God has put emphasis on the duties and responsibilities of believers, while enthusing hearts and agitating souls with His warrant for punishment and promise for reward. He has presented the Qur’an as a sign for perfection and completion and as an orbit to rotate around for His good pleasure, while condescending to offer this gift to us as a compliment greater than any that has been or will ever be granted to anyone else. The Qur’an is the most radiant and enduring of the hundreds of miracles bestowed upon the Master of creation, upon him be the best of blessings and peace. In addition to its wondrous discourse, articulation, and styles of expression, with its social discipline, legal rulings, principles of good morality, and education, its analysis of the whole creation including especially humanity, with its many allusions and indications to the essentials of almost all the sciences, which are sometimes even presented as manifest expressions, and the alternative solutions it offers for many administrative, economic, and political problems, the Qur’an is the ultimate source of reference for everyone and for all times. It is an untainted fountain with an infinite resource; it is a vast ocean which can never be dimmed by even the most complicated and filthy of eras. With all respect for its grandeur, I have to confess my inability and insufficiency to elaborate on the depth of meaning and richness of expression and style of the Qur’an. A considerable number of studies have been dedicated to the Qur’an, and many more studies will be carried out on this topic. There is no doubt that all these studies have presented valuable content for any seeking person to grasp the gist of what the Qur’an stands for and to believe in its message, and they mirror the order of Islam in its true essence. However, it would not be right for anyone to claim that they have come up with a perfect interpretation of the endless content of this expository atlas of humankind, the universe and the truth of Divinity. The Qur’an can be interpreted only to the extent that a heavenly and Divine word can be interpreted by human perception. Thus, although it does not seem to be possible to spell out this huge atlas within the measures of an article, we cannot stay indifferent to or neglect studying the Qur’an with the excuse that our interpretations are deficient or the power of our discourse is inadequate. Everyone has the right to study the Qur’an, more than that, it is a duty upon those equipped with necessary, accurate knowledge. We should work harder to better understand the Qur’an, while the learned should wield all their perceptiveness and sensations toward understanding it and conveying its message, allowing a wider audience to learn more from it. The Qur’an is a miracle of eloquence honored with the merit of being the voice of all ages. It is the most luminous expression of the Divine Speech, around whose light the angels hover like moths. If we take into consideration its Source and purpose of revelation, its first representative(s) and the impact it leaves on hearts, then we must realize that it is not a book to put to one side. When the Qur’an speaks, angels fall deep into a silent vigilance, spirit beings fall prostrate, and the jinn, enchanted with its voice, set out to the deserts to meet it. The Qur’an is the expression and explanation of God’s laws of creation or “nature,” and the strongest and immutable source of religious rules and pillars. The Qur’an is the indisputable Book that includes the most reliable criteria for studying existence (the whole universe and humankind), thus for all individual, familial, social, or ethical problems we must seek wisdom and illumination from the Qur’an; it cries out that its source is the all-encompassing Knowledge of the One Who knows everything with their causes and results. The Qur’an has captivated everyone to whom its voice has reached—provided they were not prejudiced—with its holistic perspective, comprehensive discourse and style, the vastness of its content and meaning, its delicate expressions, its magical expounding in proportion to the different levels of knowledge and understanding, and its capacity to penetrate souls. Neither its friends nor its foes have been able to come up with something in a similar style or an utterance that is equal in grandiosity, the former motivated for imitation, the latter in fury to choke off its voice, despite their efforts for almost fourteen centuries, even when they use the same material and concentrate on the same issues. Their works have never been able to overcome artificiality, they have never been appreciated by masters of literary skills, and they have never evoked any lasting or effective influence. The Superiority of the Qur’an The Qur’an has such a musical harmony and delicate correlations between the topics it deals with, be they interrelated or apparently unrelated with each other, so that one is able to realize, with only the slightest effort of comprehensive thinking, that many apparently unrelated topics have points of junction. The mastership of discourse belongs to the Qur’an, which no literary personality can challenge, and enables those of its audience who are unprejudiced and can judge with some reason to obtain some things from it, introducing them to deeper contemplation beyond their horizons of thought. If once they can judge fairly and let their souls delve into this heavenly waterfall of expression, all other speech-like voices will immediately turn into nothing but rumblings. Above all, the Qur’an has come from an all-encompassing Knowledge; it contains and explains the meaning and content of human and non-human existence, of humankind, nature, and all the worlds; it is both their language and interpreter of their purpose of creation. It speaks to multifarious dimensions of its audience all at the same time: while addressing the mind, it does not neglect to speak to the heart in its own language; when it calls out to the consciousness, it does not push emotions aside; while conversing with the faculties of reasoning and logic, it does not leave the soul without any favor. All faculties and senses, external and internal, benefit from the Qur’an, which gives each its share without giving rise to any deprivation and contradiction. They all receive their share from this heavenly table, each to the extent of its capacity, and enjoy a most harmonious composition. All Divine Scriptures, especially before human interpolations were mixed with the original texts, possessed the same holistic approach and all-embracing quality; nevertheless the superiority and widest comprehension of the Qur’an are evident in proportion to the profundity of the spirit of the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings. It is by no means possible to show any other heavenly or man-made book which excels it with its content and extensiveness. It is by no means an exaggeration to claim its uniqueness in dealing with humanity, the universe and Divinity in the most comprehensive, as well as the most exquisite fashion, while interpreting them in the best forms of synthesis and analysis in its own way. Topics in the Qur’an All of the topics that the Qur’an deals with are the most valuable treasures of the truths pertaining to Divinity and the realm of creation. Some of these truths are decisive or explicit in meaning and content, and others are concise, metaphorical, and allegorical, the explanation of which has been entrusted to the one who brought the Qur’an, upon him be peace and blessings, and the scholars favored with inspiration. The Qur’an never complicates any of the matters it presents or analyzes. It presents topics concerned with the essentials of faith, worship, and morality, and basic principles of individual and social life clearly and succinctly; while for matters requiring comprehensive thinking, reflection, and careful consideration, it demands deeper examination and scrutiny, and suggests turning to God, without approving of burdening oneself with grave matters that one cannot shoulder. Like a magical chandelier which continuously shines brighter, it is a means for brand new discoveries at diverse wavelengths as hearts and minds go deeper in thought, thus offering Divine gifts of all kinds to our internal and external senses. With its blessings and inspirations augmenting in excess, and light rain becoming a deluge, and with its endless beauty and glittering lights, the Qur’an showers banquets one within another to those who ponder and study it. True understanding of existence and what lies beyond the sensed dimension of the cosmos, and also humankind with its spiritual depths is possible only through the Qur’an. They discover in its bright realm straight thinking and real sources of reflection, and are thereby saved from the vicious circles of deception and misjudgments based on probabilities. There is no other source of knowledge that is not mistaken or not entrusted to uncertainty or doubt other than this miraculous Speech from God, the All-Knowing of the Unseen. The Qur’an explains and presents everything explicitly, plainly, and correctly. It enables us to understand that it is we who make errors in evaluating the issues, giving rise to contradictory judgments and in filling in the gaps entrusted to reflection. Understanding and interpreting the Qur’an correctly is not only a duty upon us, but also a requirement of our fidelity to it. The fulfillment of this duty and fidelity is closely related with the erudition of every capable and well-equipped individual and in their living in devotion to God. Such individuals dive into this vast ocean with utmost sincerity and commitment for the good pleasure of God, uncovering the truth so that it flourishes. They proceed toward this infinite horizon with caution, composure, comprehensive thought, and without surrendering to their carnality. The Messenger, who brought the Qur’an from God, is their first and greatest guide; they follow the pious scholars among the earliest generations of Islam in the light of its expressions, which are decisive and explicit in meaning and content. They are less likely to err; their efforts to attain the pleasure of God are rewarded with special treatment. Their interpretations and explanations of the Qur’an are each a hue and adornment of Qur’anic uniqueness. A sound interpretation On the other hand, the Qur’an cannot be explained as it deserves in consideration of its position and loftiness with rudimentary Arabic and the limited scope of dictionaries; such an attempt would also be manifest disrespect to this heavenly monument of speech. It should be rendered in other languages as is required. Anything concerning Qur’anic expositions (tafsir) should be very well versed and before they are launched, every tafsir should be tested against the exalted Islamic sciences. What falls to us is not to bring the Divine Word down to our level of perception and expression in its immeasurable immensity and depth, excusing such an act as we have translated it for the benefit of everyone. While it is a duty, an appreciation of, or an act of respect toward the Qur’an for experts to make the Qur’an known to everyone via exposition, interpretation, or a commentary, such an attempt would be paramount to insolence if one did not have a high command of Arabic grammar, the principles of rhetoric or eloquence, knowledge of the study of Qur’anic exposition (tafsir), the methodology of hadith studies (Traditions of Prophet) and Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh). The Qur’an cannot be translated as a novel is; even the translation of a novel calls for an expertise in its own genre. Forging the way toward a sound interpretation of the Qur’an, it would be better to discuss first what a “translation” is, and what tafsir (exposition) and ta’wil (commentary) mean. Translation is the rendering of a text or statement in one language into another language, while preserving the meaning. An accurate translation would be to transfer the exact meaning of every word—if this is ever possible—while preserving the relationships between word combinations. On the other hand, a literal translation of the words only, or an exclusively semantic translation would be a deficient translation. To a certain extent we can also talk about translation software; however, the current technology or even more advanced technology to come is not able to help very much in the translation of substantial literary works. Consider the situation when the text is the Word of God, which addresses all times, conditions, and levels and therefore the exposition of which with all its depths is considerably dependent on time, inspiration, and circumstances. Some works of literature are said to be impossible to accurately render; then it is clear that there is no way that the Holy Qur’an, with its immense profundity, can be expressed by an ordinary translation. Many Muslim scholars, including Bediüzzaman Said Nursi, are of the opinion that it is impossible to translate the Qur’an, due to the aforementioned and many other considerations. Some other scholars, on the other hand, approach the matter cautiously, but more moderately, provided that the prerequisites underscored above have been abided with. The late Hamdi Yazýr, one of the greatest contemporary expounders of the Qur’an, states that the translation must exactly correspond to the original text in terms of explicitness and indications, conciseness and comprehensiveness, generalizations and specifics, restrictedness or exclusiveness and inclusiveness, powerfulness, and appropriateness, and eloquence and style. Therefore, prose or poetry can be translated into another language which is as developed as the original language, with the condition that the translator is well-versed with the subtleties of both languages; however such a translation is hardly possible for a book which addresses the mind and heart, the soul and all the senses together, with all its diverse literary delicacy, and its vigor and exuberance. And what happens if the book to be translated is a work of God that transcends all other books Divine or non-Divine with its dimensions beyond time and space, and speaks to all ages?!... To be understood and to be lived by The Qur’an is, in the words of Bediüzzaman Said Nursi, a Divine interpretation of the book of existence; it is the voice and breath of the laws of creation, the true interpreter of things and events that bear multifarious meanings, a candid expounder of this world and the world to come, the revealer of the treasure of the Divine Names hidden in the heavens and on the earth, the mysterious key to the mysteries beyond all things, the plain language of the beyond manifested in this world; the sun, the foundation, and the geometry of the spiritual world of Islam, the sacred map that explicitly lays out the worlds of the Hereafter with clearly drawn lines, the voice and clearest interpreter of the Divine Essence, Attributes, and Names, the most reliable teacher of all humanity; the air, the water, and the light of the Islamic world, and the Word of the All-Exalted, All-Majestic Being, Who is the Creator and Lord of all worlds, and His decree and address. This is not to say that the Qur’an cannot be understood; on the contrary and most importantly of all, it was revealed to humanity to be understood and to be lived by. However, its phrases are so deep and have so many meanings, its content is so multi-layered, that even if we can know and understand the meaning of every single word, and sense certain things from word combinations, we will certainly miss many truths that are contained in styles, indications, suggestions, connotations, and purposes, that cannot be fully reflected in any translation. I am of the opinion that every person who approaches the Qur’an with an open mind can perceive all of the above characteristics, and thus appreciate that its sublimity and transcendence cannot be confided to a simple translation. A translation might certainly have some value in proportion to the translator’s learning, knowledge, horizon of perception, and skills; however, it can never convey the Qur’an in all its profundity; therefore no translation, nor no commentary or interpretation can be called the Qur’an itself. A number of books have been written about Qur’anic interpretation and commentary, while objections to the Qur’an and some of its contents have been repeatedly addressed. Many more interpretations and commentaries will continue to be prepared in the future too, just as many new objections will be answered, and this will perhaps continue until the end of time. How many new doubts will be manufactured about the Qur’an; how many more times will minds be exposed to contamination; what new unthinkable plots will Satan, our eternal enemy, play on weak believers; what new scenarios, unheard of until today, will the devils of humankind and jinn put on the stage to tempt humanity; how many more times will they induce suspicion with regards to our values and agitate people? Such animosity has always existed and will continue to exist. Thankfully, hundreds of people with zeal to serve the Religion, will always stand to face them by exploring new depths of that Book of lofty truths and strive to interpret that Eternal Speech, which they hold in the greatest esteem. The mischievous organizations of Satan and his companions will always be challenged by the companions of the Qur’an.

It is amazing to see no muslim has given the answers, the questions has been asked in the article. I think muslims hesitate to read the articles. They just come with their copy and paste materials and without event going through the article, they just paste the material.

Muslims are only good at copy and paste. They copied the Koran from the Christians and Jews and added the Jihad and non-believer hate verses. They copied all the rituals from the Pagans and called it Namaz, Haj, Fasting etc. It's the biggest bullshit around.

Well, well, well! Christian bunkums have started sucking up to muslims and quran with a hindu writing critique about muslims and their silly crap called 'quran'. It goes to show the deep-rooted prejudice against hinduism that these jokers sympathise with each other . After all islam, christianity and judaism comes from the same incoherent and insane mumbling of their supreme patriarch Abraham, the man who is unholy by any standard ,sleeping with his maid-servant and keeping slaves ,fornicating, indulging in all cruelties. What can you expect of a male chauvinistic, sadistic god called Allah/Yahweh ,who has all the most negative failings of a degenerate criminal such as envy, jealousy, barbarity, cruelity, lechery etc.!! The pagan Roman/Greek Gods were any day more saner than the rabbid god from the middle-east who has wrought more bloodshed and insane massacres in the name of furthering the mad god's glory by his over-zealous and lunatic followers - and this is still going on even today in every way around the world with crusading United States along with its faithful dumb poodles on the one side swearing by christianity and the entire lunatic hordes of islamic nations in frothing frenzy to claim this Earth- this great and noble planet- for islam destroying all other civilizations in its wake! Both are two sides of the same coin. Irrational, bigoted, intolerant, amoral, bloodthirsty and conscienceless! Only secular values can bring sanity and peace on this planet!

TO all Followers of Pedo, rapist, robber, murderer, slavery master, misogynist, polygamist, fascist, ntolerant and profiteer called MO_HAM_MAD ( and to the traitor ZAKIR NAIK ):. Just like your mad propfiteer you are also hallucinating . HAI zombies - It is the routine habit of ZAKIR and other ISLAMIC monsters to cite Hindu scriptures and Hinduism to find some modicum of defence and justification for all that is demonism in ISLAM. ZAKIR says Hindu scriptures foretold MO_HAM_MAD . .............................. I am telling you categorically and clearly here and now- that SANATANA DHARMA does not need and will not even think of ISLAM as anything close to spiritual value. I request all HINDUS to discord and flush out even tiny traces of ISLAM/QQURRAN/ MO/ALLA into sewage. Becoz ISLAM/QQURRAN is sewage . One can easily prove 100% of the above qualities that I cited above - from ISLAMIC books, history and the present ISLAMIC societies . SANATAN DHARMA is supremely noble ,great ,universal in content and application . AS usual all Moslems are blind evil doers and blind followers as they do not think and are not allowed to think as ordered by MO?QQURRAN. ...................There is no comparison between Hindu dharma which is the oldest on this earth . Hindu dharma is so sacred and so noble - that you can be assured 100% , WHEN an intelliegent, thinking person reads Hindu scriptures - he/she will be enlightened ,elevated, ennobled and enriched in their life and i am positive that they will discord everything else in their life and will be Hindus in their life forever. this is happening all over the world . All philosophers, thinkers and scholars will take up and follow HINDU DHARMA.You dont have to convert or preach anything . Such is the magnetic power of HINDU DHARMA . ALL ISLAMISTS - you can be happy that no HINDU - repeat NO HINDU will think of ISLAM or even think of USING ISLAM/MOSLEM books or history or any MOSLEM country constitution to defend or justify any Hindu value - as there is no need . ISLAM has brought untold misery, death, destruction, evil, cruelty, darkness, barbarism uncivility to HINDUS/INDIA . ISLAM has effected INDIA in the most negative way...................... Again , all ISLAMISTS/JIHADISTS including the traitor ,wicked ,cruel ZAKIR NAIK that do not bother about HINDU DHARMA . HINDU DHARMA has nothing in common with ISLAM/QQURRAN . Infact HINDU DHARMA is diametrically opposite of ISLAM. Not only Hindus - but any nonmoslem on this earth do not need ISLAM/QQURRAN - becoz they are sewage .

Over and over again, we only hear insults and no valid arguments. Quran does not say or imply the age of earth. It's that simple! Any Hadith that describes a shape or body parts for god is false because it contradicts Quran to describe how god looks or how he is shaped. Relying on weak ahadith will not get your argument too far. It will only convince the ignorant or the rejectors. The very fact that all of the so called intellectuals who spend hours writing for this website have not been able to refute the credibility of Quran says it all.

Koran is a book of bullshit. It is a book of ignorance ,raw superstitions,a manual for terrorists- nothing more. To look for science in such an idiotic ,low-grade trash is extremely stupid , or a conceit by muslims to hide their shame of ignorance and superstition. I have read the Koran and I have found nothing scientific , though some muslims contrive to impute science to some vague line hear or there claiming them to ber scientific. Then, the question arises - why are most muslims stupid, especially the Arabs. Why , in all the 1,400 years of their existence they did not invent an automobile to exploit the abundant petroleum reservres in their lands??? They had to wait until the Westerners (USA and Europe) to invent these contraptions to eploit the oil resources! Islam, Koran and the muslims had nothing to contribute to this World expect backwardness and ignorance. Even today islamic countries are the most backward in the indices of human development- see UN Reports. Ignorance is their virtue just as their shameless tendencies to usurp others discoveries, inventions and hardwork as their own in the name of 'Islam', their barbaric cult!

Allah isn't the God of Love. Allah is the antithesis of the God of Love. According to the historical documents of Islam, I have come to the conclusion that Allah is the god of hatred, the god of pain and cruelty, the god of death and destruction. Allah is an idol of the Muslims. If I were a Muslim, I would reject Allah and call on the God of Love. A person cannot go wrong if he calls on the God of Love. Plenty can go wrong if he calls on the god of hatred, pain, death, and destruction. You can see the evil results every day committed by the sons of Allah. On the other hand, the God of Love is the God of humility, the God of infinite wisdom, knowledge and understanding. The God of Love has not parts. In other words, this God doesn't have a nose, teeth, lungs, et cetera. My God is a Spirit. This God is everywhere because He is in another dimension. There is no space or time in God's dimension. That is the reason that the God of Love can be everywhere at all times. His time is eternal. He can create out of nothing. I know this because I have seen it happen several times. I've had many experiences in the supernatural that is beyond the comprehension of man unless they, too, have experienced the supernatural. By supernatural, I mean above nature, or the natural. Others have had experiences in the supernatural, but they are to timid to make them public. Myself, I don't care if you ridicule me or not. There is much more to the story, but in obedience to the author, I have kept my comments short. Thank you and may the God of Love bless you.

History of God: Every child and adult must have asked at least once in a lifetime such questions as what is God? How does God look like? When was God born? Will God die? Who are God' parents? Does God have children? Does God exist? If there is a God they why don't I see God? Why can't God talk to me? These and many others are very difficult questions to answer for those whose religion is not Islam. Here an attempt is made to answer these questions fully or partially. Everyone believes in something-unseen spirits, which can help or harm; many gods; own ability to make a happier world; national government; money; science; science; history; philosophical speculation; or just one God. Belief is part of a human being. Search for Answers What makes the thunder roar and the rain to fall? What makes lightning? Where does the sun go when it sets? What causes solar and lunar eclipses? What causes diseases? What does life mean? Men looked for answers and made up stories to explain the mysteries of the universe. Myths explained creation of life, world, eclipses, coming and going of seasons, cases of sickness, etc. Most myths are imaginative. Early man considered anything unusual as evidence of supernatural power: high mountains, deep craters, waterfalls, earthquakes, volcanoes, lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, heat waves, snowstorms, sand storms, wild animals, poisonous animals, epidemic diseases, etc. Early man also believed in "Animism" or belief in spirits dwelling within trees, stones, rivers, etc. Early man worshipped nature: sun, moon, stars, snakes, cows, trees, rivers, wind, fire, clouds, sky, etc. Many early people also believed in a god who was a distant and mysterious being. Babylonians, Romans, early Australians called their god a father (masculine for strength and power). American natives called their god Great Father, Chinese and ancient Indians and Greeks called god "Sky" as the sky covers everything. Forty thousand years ago Aryan (noble) tribes living near the Caspian Sea believed in these nature gods (sun, moon, sky, wind, earth, fire, tree, etc.). Later they migrated in all directions carrying their beliefs. Hence the gods of Europeans, Greeks, Romans, Persians and Indians resembled each other. About 1,500 years ago all countries except a few countries in South Asia started to believe in one God. In India ancient gods are still honored and worshipped. MONOTHEISM According to scriptures, in Middle East God spoke to Prophet Abraham. Prophet Abraham found this God was more powerful than the spirits that lived in rocks, trees, sacred groves, snakes, wild animals, sand storms. Prophet Moses heard a voice from a flaming bush on Mt. Sinai. The voice said," I AM WHO I AM THE ONE WHO ALWAYS IS-YAHWEH." Yahweh is the Hebrew word for God. When Christianity came, the Christians believed in Trinity-The Holy Father, The Holy Ghost and the Holy Son. Jesus Christ (peace is upon him) is believed to be the Son of God. The Christians say "God made man in His own image." They give anthropomorphic image of God-meaning God looks like man. In Islam, God is called "Allah." Allah is a unique Arabic word for it is neither singular nor plural and it is neither feminine nor masculine. For example, god is singular and gods is plural. God is masculine and goddess is feminine. Although Allah has no gender, Allah is usually referred to as He for conceptual reasons and easy understanding. The most rational and highly realistic concept of God in any religion is revealed in the Glorious Qur'an in Surah 112 which is called Al-Iklas (Sincerity) or Al-Tawhid (Unity). It has been called the essence of the Qur'an. The translation reads: In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful 1. Say: He is Allah, the One 2. Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute 3. He begetteth not, nor was begotten 4. And there is none comparable unto Him. This extremely simple and crystal clear concept of God has not been given by any other religion. Thus Surah tells us God is One, Eternal(no death), Absolute(has no limitation whatsoever), was not born like other living creatures. Has no partners and does not give birth to sons or daughters. Most important of all "there is nothing in the world or universe which can be compared to Allah." Allah has no form, shape or substance. People ask how to visualize a God who has no birth or death? Hoe come no one challenges the concept of Law of Conservation of Energy-which states that energy is neither created nor destroyed and that one from of energy is converted into another form? When a light bulb is switched on, we see electrical energy converted into light energy. Dry cells and batteries convert chemical energy into electricity or light. In automobiles and planes we see chemical (gasoline) energy converted into kinetic energy (motion). The Noble Qur'an describe nature or attributes of God with 99 names such as Omnipotent (all powerful), Omnipresent (present everywhere), Omniscient (all knowing), etc. In the Qur'an the concept of Allah or God is clearly defined. Examples are Surah IQLAS and Ayah al Kursi(Surah 2, Al-Baqara:255:Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth....) In the Qur'an we also read, Allah is FATHIR 'US 'SAMAVATHI WAL ARDHI and BADI 'US 'SAMAVATHI WAL WARDHI. In short Allah(SWT) is the Creator of the Universe and everything in it and created from nothing. This is rational and appealing to the scientists. Now days scientists are showing the way to Religion and God. Examples are Paul Davis's books: "God and the New Physics" and "the Mind of God." Several books on "The Anthropic Principle." The concept of TAWHID is the strongest foundation of Islam. The Unity of God or oneness of Allah. How to convince the children and non-Muslims about TAWHID. We can do this scientifically, rationally or logically. All mater is made of atoms. The simplest atom is the atom of Hydrogen which consists of a proton( + positively charged) and an electron(- negatively charged) orbiting around the proton. 75% of matter in the universe consists of Hydrogen and the rest is made of Helium which is in the stars such as our sun where nuclear fusion (deuterium and tritium fuse to form Helium and Energy) takes place resulting in release of energy (heat and light). The physicists have determined accurately the mass, charge, spin, etc of the proton and the electron. The diameter of the proton, the distance between the proton and the electron. The proton to electron mass ratio is 1837 . That is one proton is equal to 1837 electrons. Why the ratio is 1837 and not 1500 or 2000 ? The answer will give you the existence of God. When the hydrogen found on any planet in the solar system or in our sun is analyzed, we find it to be identical to that found on the earth. Our sun is one of the 200 billion stars in our Galaxy called the Milkyway Galaxy. The hydrogen in any star in the Milkyway Galaxy is identical to that found on earth. There are about 200 billion Galaxies in the Universe. The nearest Galaxy is the Andromeda Galaxy. The properties of Hydrogen in any Galaxy is identical to that found on EARTH. WHAT IS THE CONCLUSION? The CREATOR of earth, solar system, stars, galaxies, is the ONE AND THE SAME. IN OTHER WORDS THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING IN IT IS ONE AND THE SAME. FOR MUSLIMS HE IS ALLAH THE AHAD. Other examples are the Four Natural Forces: 1. Gravitational Force 2. Electromagnetic Force 3. Nuclear Weak Force 4. Nuclear Strong Force One will find that these forces are identical everywhere in the universe and the physical laws that operate everywhere in the universe are the same. HENCE THE CONCLUSION IS INDISPUTABLE THAT THE CREATOR IS ONE. Other examples in the Qur'an are: Surah 4: 1(Verse) Surah 75: 39 (Verse) Surah 21: 30(verse) Surah 13 : 12 (verse) The Qur'an says: O mankind, reverence your Guardian Lord who created you from a single person, created of like nature, his mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women. Reverence God through whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for God ever watches you.(4:1). It is He who does show you the lightning by way both of fear and of hope. It is He who does raise up the clouds, heavy with (fertilizing) rain (13:12). Allahu 'Alamu (Allah knows best).

So why don't the rest of us ever see any angels and why not people in other parts of the world than the middle east. Are they somehow lesser? So while God is taliking to people why does'nt he tell them some thing useful and difficult like how to cure cancer or plague or smallpox etc. That would be useful to know or how about E=MC^2 that would get my interest and God would know these things. How do prophets fare when confronted with modern meta-mathematics and Godel's theorem or the halting theorem? justoneangel.blogspot.com june 05

Akhter, you do seem to have a bit more intelligence than most Muslims. However, how can you impress me and make me believe that you have the infallible truths that are necessary for salvation? I'm sure you are aware that there are several contradictory sects in Islam. Which one is the true sect, i.e., the infallible sect? I'm sure that you are aware that Muslim sects are not only murdering Jews, Christians, and others of different religions, but also each other. Why do Sunnis call the Shiites infidels, and also murder the Shiites because they are infidels? Why do the Shiites call the Sunnis infidels and then murder the Sunnis because they are infidels? This is also true with the other "infallible"? Muslim sects. Which "infallible" sect to you belong to? Do you honestly believe that Muhammad, a pedophile, a murderer, a child molester, a slave owner, a rapist, a polygamist, is an infallible prophet of the God of Love? Why do you expect a knowledgeable person to believe that a jerk of Muhammad's caliber can be credible? I have many more questions, but we'll start with these few. Thank you.

To Akhter -- Polytheism promotes tolerance and DEMOCRACY; Monotheism promotes monarchy, intolerance and bigotry. No wonder islamic countries are never democratic - they are either ruled by tyrants or mullahs who are even worse invoking Allah for all their nefarious activities and cruelties which goes unquestioned and unchallenged. However I am a an non-theist.There is no God. If all and everything was created by a God, then who created that God ,and who created that God who created that God....and so on regressing endlessly. How did that God come to be? On what was He standing / sitting on when He was doing His magic show of "creation"? Surely , the "place"/"space" in which He existed pre-existed this God. So He is not the first principle and not even the first cause of the so-called "creation" but just an imaginery figure , a fiction 'created' by some clever crooks to exploit and subjugate the rest of the humanity! It is ,therefore, fultile to find 'scientific truths' in Quran or the Bible , or for that matter in any other religious scripture and insult human intelligence.Evolution is the prime mover of everything. The sooner we get rid of the "God" bullshit the better it wqill be for all of us , and will certainly bring peace, understanding, tolerance, economic and scientific progress. We can do away with a lot of hollering from the roof-tops "Your God is false and my God is True" "Only my scripture is dictated by God and should be followed unquestioningly""If you don't believe in my God ,you shall surely go to'Hell'" "Believe in My God and be assured of 'Heaven' and all its 'pleasures' and gizmos" " Kill the infidels for the glory of my God",and so on ranting incoherently, all for sheer power to subjugate and demand blind obedience so that the 'chosen' few of the faithful can lead a lavish lifestyle and commit all crimes in the name of that 'holy God'.

Dear Ananda, Greetings Were you serious in the comment you left? I also would like to know your educational background if you don't mind.If I know your background I can better assess at what level of discussion I can write to you. Frankly what you wrote is hilarious for any sensible person, but still, If I know your educational level, I can better assess wether I can relate to your thinking in any way or not. But to start: Why are you assuming any truth about the Qur'an, or any Imam for that matter. I grew up in the middle east, and those HS graduates who did not get admission to any other college, went to study to be Imams. They are the people with the least IQ of HS graduates. This is my experience. When I read Ali Sina's debates with the "Scholars" of this group, my belief about their IQ level is much strengthened. Let me know

Dr. Brahmachari, bravo!! Islam and its founder Mo, its people, can only say that their religion is the best by trying to ridicule other religion, or trying to connect the Quran with modern knowledge. It is their very common ways. But facts prove differently, Islam has nothing in common with knowledge, especially the modern ones. Has Quran teach about Apollo Missions how to reach to the Moon?

dear Dr. brahmchari, i would like to add few more things to that. Allah in Quran says that the faithful in the heaven will get "unpolluted women (those who will not have mensis and urination" which clearly shows that Allah is not aware of the connection between MENSURATIOn and fertility of a women. then if you will look at the year of Arabia it is shorter than Gregorian year by ten days, that means that Allah was not aware of the fact that earth takes 365.25 days to rotate around the sun. even older civilizations like thyat of PARSEES knew this fact. Due to this fallacy of Allah their year sometimes starts in winter and sometimes in summer. Moreover since has already proved that interafamily marriages are harmful to human race, may be Allah was unaware of genetics too.
