Islam is a faith-based Arab tribal/national organization that gathers for physical drills in the name of prayers. Gathering in the name of God and offering physical drill is not religion, it is rather a military organization.
Muhammad had established Islam, which means surrender, and declared himself prophet (messenger). At that time, clever people often pretended to prophets, who gave messages to their people as per their views of the world and society. Muhammad, likewise, gave messages to the Arabs and established Islam.
In establishing Islam, he instituted a particular system of prayer rituals, i.e. Namaj/salah, as the first pillar of his religion.
What is Namaj? People stand in row, bend, touch forehead to earth while whispering chapter or verses of the Quran, and again they stand. They repeat it. First, they do it for one spell, then gradually increase to four spell. That is the systems of Islamic prayer or Namaj.
For this Namaj, the Arab followers of Prophet Muhammad start gathering at the Prophet's mosque in Medina five times a day. It thus gave rise to an organization. The Quran has placed repeated emphasis on Namaj. The Quran says gather and gather for the prayer, and Allah saves those, who gather. This means, Allah helps only those people, who gather like an organization, under the leadership of Muhammad. Islam, thus, emerged as an organization of the Arabs, and Namaj is the system that helped organize that organization.
At the prayer gathering of the Arab people, Muhammad starts giving sermons on Fridays. Through these sermons, he incited his followers against those, who did not accept Islam and offer Namaj, i.e. the disbeliever or infidels. Thus, violence started against the infidels in Medina. Muhammad give name Jihad, i.e. holy war, to this violence.
Muhammad started giving Azaan to call every Muslim to his mosque to stand together for Namaj, which was nothing but an organized physical drilling. In the process of this physical drilling, he also incited Muslims against the non-believer i.e. non-Muslim through his sermons. As a result of this, the followers of Arabia became like an organized army, under the influence and command of Muhammad, which gave Muhammad success in his ploy.
He asked his Muslim followers to give Jakaat just as the Jews and Christians used to give tithes to their respective religions. He started collecting money in the name of Jakaat and built mosque, purchase weapons, and run his mosque.
Allah was a chief god of the Quaraysh tribe along with other goddess. There are reference of 3 goddesses in the Quran (chapter No.53- the Star, sentence 19-20). These goddess were Al-Lat, Al-Ujja and Al-Manat. Idols of these goddess were placed in the Kaaba temple. It was well-known that these goddesses were daughters of Allah. Once, Muhammad had given Muslims the permission to offer prayers to these goddesses. After that, he suddenly realized that his religion was not monotheistic any more. His followers were also possibly leaving him realizing that his religion was not different from that of their forefathers. As this could threaten his organization, he again banned the idol worship. Note that Namaj is systems of organization and main aspect of namaj is to create crowd.
Today, every mulla or imam emphasizes on the Namaj, and they try to being each and every Muslim to Namaj. After Namaj, they give sermons, and incite and motivate Muslims to do Jihad. This is the violent organization. Namaj is a faith-based physical drill, which Muhammad used for organizing the Arab people and today Mullahs do the same to organize Muslims.
One Muslim youth told me that Islam is an army, Imams are captains and Muslims are soldier. They salute to Allah and prophet by turning their head right and left at the end of every Namaj. The meaning of this is to spread Islam to all over world at the expense of non-Muslims. He further said women are not allowed to fight is Islamic war, so they are banned from entering mosques. They are only like our farm land for producing children. If women allowed in mosque, Islam will become weak and neutral, Islam will unable to fight. Slavery of women is the pillar of Islam. So we cover them. By doing this, they are prevented from raising their head against this system.
There were many prophets in Arabia in those days. But Muhammad got success because of Namaj and Arab nationalism. Muhammad said to his Arab followers that Allah has chosen the Arabs this time, he sent the holy book (Quran) in Arabic, he selected an Arab man (Muhammad) as a prophet, Allah built his home in (Mecca) Arabia, Allah declared Arabs as the great people. Muhammad's associates Abubaqar and Umar were diehard nationalists, and by their effort Islam spread to all over Arabia in few years.
The Quran is a guidance for Muslims. But it was compiled after the death of Muhammad. The Quran is a collection of messages given by Muhammad. Before the compilation, Muslims never knew of the Quran. They just following the messages of Muhammad. Before the Quran appeared, Islam was established, i.e. the Islamic organization was established. It is not a matter whether Muslims read and understand the Quran or not, they turn angry and reacts as soon as they hear instigatory Friday sermons.
Islam is a faith-based Arab tribal/national organization. Those, who believes Islam to be a religion, are ignorant and misguided. Believing in god is not the sole criteria of Dharma or religion. Buddhists never believe in God, but we endorsed them as religion. Terrorist believes in God, can we endorse their faith as religion? I agree. When I look at Muslims praying at the streets, physically developed men with shaved heads kneeling, standing in rows in perfect unison - it does remind me of military drill. It looks like an army preparing to battle. Nothing is spiritual, pacifying, relaxing about their praying.

Difficult to say how the quran came into being. Obviously the surah rely on different sources.
Surah The Cave, for instance, seems to be drawn from rewritten christian texts such as the Seven Sleepers and the Alexander Romance. The infancy Gospel of Jesus was probably also used and there are some hints that the quran was influenced by jewish-christian teachings since there are many influences from gospels etc. but nothing from Paul.
Even stronger is the influence from the Old Testament. Moses, Noah and other characters are very important.
It is possible that oral traditions existed in arabic and that the quran draw from such sources.
There are some other sources such as Talmud, gnostic writings and arab traditions.

Yes, because Islam is in conflict with our basic moral concepts of equality, freedom and respect, It puts pressure (and succeeds partly) to change it's host society, through special treatment requests, violent reactions and intolerance for non-Islamic thinking. IT IS NEGATIVE in many ways - this is worrisome.
Hence my reaction, and many others, to inform the population of the true nature of Islam (and Islamism) - that it is NOT a religion at par with Christiany - mainly through the obvious terror and suffering it spreads. It is a like a pitbull - agressive, unpredictable and intolerant.
Oh, don't get me wrong. Christianity was, a long time ago also a pitbull. But we, in the West, put it in it's place. Now, it's a old, sweet dog, happy to sleep by our feet.

Back in 1979, I had a bet with some college mates ..that Islam will rise and cause ripples beyond its shores. It happened; partly due to stupid foreign policies of some western leaders (Reagan & Thatcher's support for Afgan Mujahid) & oil wealth.

Most encourage non-questioning through blind faith - and men have perverted the evil passages of religion to suit their own greedy needs.
Today, I'm afraid Islam is at the top of the "bad" pile, with an unending, world-wide tidal-wave of atrocities, violence and intolerance.

Quran has about, 25 MORAL but repeated Ayas, that could be good guide for humen beings .. but too bad these good Ayas does not add anything new to all any religions have brought before it .

Every country has a cantonment area where only those people who are involved in the defense of the country are allowed. Similarly Mecca and Medina are the cantonment area of Muslims. Quran has not used the English word 'day'. It rather uses the Arabic word يَوْمِ or YAUM if transliterated. Had it there been 'day' it was obviously ambiguous as you said. The Arabic word يَوْمِ has several meanings. I copypaste below dictionary meanings of يَوْمِ for you.

Yaum: means day: the time from sunrise to sunset: this word is used by the Arabs to mean a certain time or era: there is no distinction in it for day or night, morning or evening: it could mean an year or a century: a thousand years or even fifty thousand years: like with waqt and saa’at , after yaum ‘iz’ is added and yaumaizin almost means the same as waqtaizin and saataizin : * so, waqt, saa’a and yaum are nearly of the same meaning i.e. time: the plural of yaum is ayyaam: * Ibn Faaris says yaum means day : and he has also said that figuratively it means a great thing.
It also means government (power) and wealth **: tilkal ayyamu nuda wiluha bainan naas: 3:139 here ayyam means government and state: **.
Ayyam: also appears to mean the great and unforgettable events of history: like ayyamal Arb which means waqa’il Arb **: i.e. the events of Arabia: at various places in the Qur’an ayyamul laah has come to mean this: as wa zikrihum bi-ayyamillaah: 14:5

And she made the test even more useful by including stuff that is consistent with Quranic verses. And sure enough, Malem didn't notice. What could that mean? It means he doesn't understand Arabic.

Notice how Malem said "accept it". That means submit. Submit to what? Submit to the idea that Allah exists and the Quran and Mohamed and heaven and hell and sins and so on.
What does it mean to submit to an idea? It means to consider it as true without addressing one's criticisms of that idea.
We have presented Malem with criticisms and he hasn't criticized them. We asked him questions and he hasn't answered them. Why does he do this? What would happen if he did address our criticisms and answer our questions? Well, he would have to consider ideas that conflict with his Allah idea. That means he'd have to reject the Allah idea. It took, Malam long time to realize it .. if he was an Arabic native, like he claims to be, he would have been alerted of the fake Arabic Quranic verses, I wrote, right away.
What is really amazing to me, is that, the words of Quran shocks him when I used to describe Muslims, but, on the other hand, it gives him joy, when he reads the same words, in Quran, describing non Muslims .

I did read you posts with the fake verses, but there was no point in responding lass. You see people write false things on this blog all day, if I took the time to respond to all of them, it would be quite a feat. You need not make up verses, they are already provided to you in the Quran, by Allah. You calling me names in your little surah was funny, but is more a reflection on your intolerance to others religion of choice. Instead of trying to divide people I would rather try to bring them together in peace. Instead of spreading hateful messages why not try to extend some nice words. As for my native arabic speaking ability it is extremely good, much better uniersity program in Msra than Souria.

We have a problem with ***evil***. If a religion happens to contain evil ideas, well that sucks.

Punishment is evil? So if a parent instructs a child not to do something and they do anyway, then the parents punsih the child by either sending them to their room or a spanking, you call that evil? You see lad, the term punishment is a very general term, you should define more clearly what you mean. There are consequences with actions. You cause harm to another, you are sent to prison maybe. That is punishment. Not having consequences for bad behavior will only cause more of the same etc..

You mentioned sending a kid to his room and spanking. Both of those fit my definition for punishment. So, so far we are on the same page on what punishment is.

No. Sending someone to prison is a protection for the rest of society. I want the government to lock up criminals so that those criminals don't commit crimes on me.

So first it is important to figure out whether a certain action is good or bad. And so far, you've described a situation where the parent decided on his own that he is right and that the child is wrong and that the consequence of this disagreement is that the child will be forced to his room or forced to receive a spanking.
