That's why Muslim clerics ban Valentine's Day celebration...
Every year, 14th February is observed across the world as the Valentine’s Day, the day of Love between men and women. But Muslim clerics in Islamic countries denounce the Valentine’s Day celebration as un-Islamic, while radical Muslims engage in violence and vandalism to stop its celebration. Indonesia, the world's fourth most populous country with over 238 million people, has the world's largest Muslim population. This year, the Dumai Chapter of the Indonesian Ulema Council declared the celebration of Valentine’s Days illegal. Council Chairman Rozai Akbhar said, “Observing Valentine’s Day is un-Islamic as it encourages young people to build relationship without marriage.”

Indonesia's neighbor Malaysia is another predominantly Islamic country with a population of over 28.25 million. Islamic department of Malaysia this year launched a propaganda campaign, called ‘Mind the Valentine’s Day Trap’. Pamphlets were distributed at universities and public places by government officials, urging rejection of the Valentine’s Day celebration. In Pakistani, a group of eight Islamic parties started a campaign on February 14 to protest the event. “The secretary general of Tahaffuz Namoos-i-Risalat Mahaz (TNRM) party asked to mark the Valentine’s Day as a black day. He worried that observing such event may change the country into a secular state."
Iran and Saudi Arabia have officially banned Valentine’s Day. An Iranian official memo reads: “Printing and producing any products related to Valentine’s Day, including posters, brochures, advertising cards, boxes with the symbols of hearts, half-hearts, red roses and any activities promoting this day are banned.”
A notification in Pakistan says,
“In recent times, celebration of the Valentine Day has spread, particularly among female students. It is a Christian celebration, and it is (manifested) with fully red costumes, clothing and shoes, and exchange of red roses. We hope that you make clear for us the ruling on celebrating this holiday, and what your guidance is to Muslims in matters such as these, may Allah preserve you and guard you. For Muslims, the celebrating the Valentine Day is not permissible because,
1. Firstly, it is an innovated holiday that has no basis in the Sharee'ah.
2. Secondly, it calls to love and passion.
3. Thirdly, it calls for keeping one's heart busy with nonsense matters which contradict the guidance of the righteous predecessors, with them.
On Feb 13, FFI posted the news “Love is Sinful in Islam” and a learned reader commented, “Love is natural and by which only humanity survives. Islam is against nature. Anything against the nature would be wiped out from the earth automatically. It is only by threat and violence Islam has survived for 1400 years.” Another reader, as a reply to his comment, wrote, “Actually no. Love is not required for the survival of the species, only sex is. Even if every child was born as the result of rape, the species would survive (as Mink ably demonstrate btw). And ponder how Islam typifies husband-wife “love”: she must provide sex-on-demand even if at the stove on the back of a camel (Masabih/ibn Majah); and if she declines sex, Angels curse her.”
This statement concisely encapsulates the pure Islamic view regarding relationship between a man and a woman, or between a husband and a wife.
But many young Muslims in Islamic countries want to celebrate the Valentine’s Day a day of love. To this trend, a Muslim zealot laments:
“Many of the Muslims follow the enemies of Allah in many of their customs and ways of behaving, and imitate them in some of their rituals and in celebrating their holidays. The matter has been made even worse by the opening up of mass communications between peoples, whereby the rituals and customs of the kuffaar are now transmitted with the glamorous adornment of sound and image from their countries into the Muslim countries, via satellite TV and the World Wide Web (Internet). Many Muslims have been deceived by their glamour.”
To this a learned reader reacted: “Even the butterfly grow and pierce the cocoon to come out and live a free life in a few days. Muslims are in darkness for 1400 years, in the cocoon of Islam. Thanks to the swords, imams and fundamentalists. They should realize at least now (in the era of internet and email) that they have been brainwashed all these years would go futile. The role of youngsters is very important. They should learn the evils of Islam and teach their parents and brothers and sisters.”
History of the Valentine’s Day
The Festival of Love is a Roman festival, originated more than seventeen centuries ago. According to the Roman culture, it was an expression of “spiritual love”. There were myths associated with this festival of the Romans, which persisted with their Christian heirs. Among the most famous of these myths was the Roman belief that Romulus, the founder of Rome, was suckled one day by a she-wolf, which gave him strength and wisdom. The Romans used to celebrate this event in mid-February each year as a big festival. One of the rituals of this festival was the sacrifice of a dog and a goat. Two strong and muscular youths would daub the blood of the dog and goat onto their bodies. Then they would wash the blood away with milk. After that there would be a great parade, with these two youths at its head, which would go about the streets. The two youths would have pieces of leather with which they would hit everyone who crossed their path. The Roman women would welcome these blows, because they believed that they could prevent or cure infertility.
Regarding how the name of Saint Valentine got associated with this festival, Wikipedia says:
“Saint Valentine is the name of several (14 in all) martyred saints of ancient Rome. The name "Valentine", derived from valens (worthy, strong, powerful), was popular in Late Antiquity. Of the Saint Valentine whose feast is on February 14, nothing is known except his name and that he was buried at the Via Flaminia north of Rome on February 14. It is even uncertain whether the feast of that day celebrates only one saint or more saints of the same name. For this reason this liturgical commemoration was not kept in the Catholic calendar of saints for universal liturgical veneration as revised in 1969. But "Martyr Valentinus the Presbyter and those with him at Rome" remains in the list of saints proposed for veneration by all Catholics.”
According to another version, Saint Valentine is a name which is given to two of the ancient “martyrs” of the Christian Church. It was said that there were two of them, or that there was only one, who died in Rome as the result of the persecution of the Gothic leader Claudius, (c. 296 CE). In 350 CE, a church was built in Rome on the site of the place where he died, to perpetuate his memory. When the Romans embraced Christianity, they continued to celebrate the Feast of Love mentioned above, but they changed it from the older concept of “spiritual love” to another concept known as the “martyrs of love”, represented by Saint Valentine who had advocated love and peace, for which cause he was martyred, according to their claims. It was also called the Feast of Lovers, and Saint Valentine was considered to be the patron saint of lovers.
They believed, supposedly falsely, about this festival that the names of girls of marriageable age would be written on small rolls of paper and placed in a dish on a table. Then the young men who wanted to get married would be called, and each of them would pick a piece of paper. He would put himself at the service of the girl whose name he had drawn for one year, so that they could find out about one another. Then they would get married, or they would repeat the same process again on the day of the festival in the following year. The Christian clergy reacted against this tradition, which they considered to have a corrupting influence on the morals of young men and women. It was abolished in Italy, where it had been well-known, then it was revived in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when in some western countries there appeared shops which sold small books called “Valentine’s books”, which contained love poems, from which the one who wanted to send a greeting to his sweetheart could choose. They also contained suggestions for writing love letters.
It was also said concerning the origins of this holiday that when the Romans became Christian, after Christianity had become widespread, the Roman emperor Claudius II decreed in the third century CE that soldiers should not get married, because marriage would distract them from the wars they used to fight. This decree was opposed by Saint Valentine, who started to perform marriages for the soldiers in secret. When the emperor found out about that, he threw him in jail and sentenced him to execution. In prison, he (Saint Valentine) fell in love with the jailer’s daughter, but this was a secret because according to Christian laws, priests and monks were forbidden to marry or fall in love.
Love is sinful in Islam
In Islam, Muslims will submit to Allah completely through observation of religious rituals, prayer, fasting, hajj etc. and following Allah's other commands, such as jihad to kill the kafirs. Indulging in other forms of enjoyment, such as love, music and such are totally meaning, indeed sinful and prohibited in Islam. Indulgence in love, music and appreciation of art etc. soften one's heart. Jihad is the cardinal command of Islam for spreading Islam all over the globe. Softening the heart works counter to Islam. So, love is sinful in Islam.
Islam's exhortation to violent jihad while prohibition of other earthly enjoying works as an effective recipe to turn Muslims cruel and violent. So, we saw in April 2007 that a Pakistani boy of 12, trained by Taliban leaders, beheaded a man, suspected to be a spy of the US. The boy shouted “Allahu Akbar”, as he struggled to chop the head of the alleged spy with blunt knife.
What Muslim clerics teach young Muslims in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, Dr Humayun Azad, a professor from University of Dhaka, was attack cruelly attacked by Islamic radical for writing the book, “Pak Sar Zamin Sad Bad”, which offended Muslims. He disclosed some vital information regarding what is being taught in Bangladeshi madrasas or Jihadi Training Camps. However, some of the lectures, which Dr Azad had collected by clandestine means, delivered to the students of these institutions by the teachers, may be narrated below.
Alhaj Maulana Rahimuddin Rasulpuri says in a lecture:
“Killing a Hindu kafir for the sake of Islam is not a sin. It is not at all a murder. It is the process of cleaning the earth for establishing the rule of Allah. Allah has put merit on such killings and He will reward such a jihadi with place in Jannahtul Ferdause (or best place in Allah’s paradise). He will also get the so many heavenly damsels (Houris) as companions. If you can kill an apostate, you will get a place in Jannahtul Ferdause, houris and, in addition to that, sharaban tahura (heavenly liquor). There you will enjoy sahabat (sex), and sahabat and sahabat. The pleasure of that heavenly sex would be 700 million times more than mundane sex. Shovanallah, there you also get tender boys (gelemans) for doing sodomy and sex with those tender boys in paradise is incomparable to anything on earth. Shovanallah, there is no sin if you do jina (sex or rape) with the malaun (a derogatory term used for Hindus in Bangladesh) women in this world. These women are nothing but war-booty (mai-e-ganimat). Whenever you feel like doing sex in this world, do it with the malaun women. Shovanallah, there is no sin in it and it is the process by which you have to drive them out of Bangladesh.” (p. 14)
Another lesson reads:
“We hate the malauns but not their women. Personally, I like the body-odour of the malaun women much. Whether they are Brahmins or Charals (A low caste), or Kaibartas (another low caste), their body odour is excellent. A highly intense, sweet mundane fragrance comes from their breasts, from the hairs of their armpit and thighs. The extremely sweet fragrance that comes from the sweat of their pubic-hairs makes me mad.”
Another lesson says:
“I tell you to place your right at where your two thighs meet. Tell me what you find there?” Meanwhile the penis got erected. I asked again, “What you find there.” Learners, the tender adolescent boys said, “It is the penis sir.” Then I told them, “It is not the penis. It is a gun. It is an M-16 Gun that Allah has given to you. You have to push this Islamic gun into the wombs of as many malaun women you can. It is the law of jihad. Beside that you have to plunder money, all gold ornaments and other valuables of the malaun households.” The learners cried “Allahu Akbar.”
The lecture continues:
“I get really amazed by observing the power of that Islamic gun. They start pushing the Islamic gun without any pause. They pushed the Islamic gun into a malaun girl in front of her parents. After tasting the daughter, they tasted her mother. Some tasted the mother first and then the daughter, while some tasted the daughter first and then the mother. In one occasion, 10–12 jihadis seized a 10-year-old malaun girl. The mother of the girl came to me in tears and requested me to send the jihadis one by one. She also said that her daughter is very tender and she has not yet reached puberty and begun menstruation. If so many jihadis go to her at a time, her daughter will die. So, I asked the jihadis stand in a queue and go inside the room one by one.”
“Jihadi called Mohammad al Jamiruddin was the first man in the queue. He was a very strong man and had two wives in his house. It seemed that his penis was more than a gun, a cannon. Shortly after he entered the room, I heard a heart-rending scream of the girl. I could understand that the cannon was entering her vagina. Then jihadis started entering and coming out the room one by one. No jihadi took much time and I could understand that, they were extremely excited and hence could finish the job quickly. Then onwards, I did not hear any scream of the girl. The girl was really nice and her parents were sitting at my feet and shedding tears.”
One day, another jihadi, named Mohammad Hafijuddin, came to me with a unique proposal. He asked, “Sir, is it true that there is no sin in raping malaun women?” I said, “yes”. Then he said that, a khayes (intense desire) has come to his mind. When I enquired about the khayes, he said, “I want to rape four malaun women at a time.” A further enquiry revealed that he came to me after keeping four Hindu women, a mother, two daughters and one daughter-in-law, as captives under lock and key. I also told him that he must fulfill his khayes and get satisfied and that would be better for his physical and mental health. “After receiving my consent, he returned and took two hours to complete the job. It appeared to me that, he did not take much time to rape four women."
“Here we teach jihad. Those who have correct knowledge of jihad, are best Muslims. We teach how to stab one with a knife, how to make bombs and grenades, how to operate pistols and guns and how to kill one by cutting his veins. Jihad is not possible without this knowledge. We teach holy-terror, divine-terror and terror for entering Allah’s paradise.” (p. 4)
Above teachings make it evident that Islam wants to turn every Muslim into a cruel jihadi. So, everything that makes the mind of a human being soft, or that arouses humane qualities -- like kindness, compassion, sympathy and altruism in a man -- is banned in Islam. Love is also a thing that arouses humane qualities in a man and hence love is un-Islamic and to be avoided by the Muslims. So, in Islam, women are to be raped, not loved. The All-Knowing and Almighty Allah has also revealed his divine injunctions so that a Muslim can rape any woman he likes, his close kin, any kafir woman and even his wife.
Allah’s views on man-woman relationship in the Koran
Allah says,
“And marry not those women whom your fathers married, except what hath already happened (of that nature) in the past. Lo! it was ever lewdness and abomination, and an evil way. Forbidden unto you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your father's sisters, and your mother's sisters, and your brother's daughters and your sister's daughters, and your foster-mothers, and your foster-sisters, and your mothers-in-law, and your step-daughters who are under your protection (born) of your women unto whom ye have gone in - but if ye have not gone in unto them, then it is no sin for you (to marry their daughters) - and the wives of your sons who (spring) from your own loins. And (it is forbidden unto you) that ye should have two sisters together, except what hath already happened (of that nature) in the past. Lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (4: 22-23)
These verses make it evident that, barring a few very close relations, Muslims are permitted to marry any woman they like. If you can marry a woman, you can rape her as well. So, raping close kin is prevalent in Muslim society. But the victims are to remain mum and tolerate all these atrocities silently, because to establish her allegation, according to Shariah law, she has to produce four male witnesses (which is next to impossible). If she fails, she runs the risk of convicted of committing an adultery that calls for a punishment like stoning to death. So, such laws of Allah turn every Muslim household into a mini whorehouse, where a father-in-law rapes his daughter-in-law, an uncle rapes his niece and so on. In Iran, a father killed his 7-year-old daughter by slitting her throat, because he suspected that his daughter was raped by her uncle.
The Koranic verse -- “Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers, (O Muhammad)” (2: 223) -- enables a Muslim to rape his wife, or to have sexual intercourse without her consent. Raping of a wife has been elaborately discussed in an article “Raping A Wife: Can a Husband force Intimacy on His Wife?” in FFI. In the said article, the author writes, “The woman does not have the right to refuse her husband, rather she must respond to his request every time he calls her, so long as that will not harm her or keep her from doing an obligatory duty.”
Al-Bukhaari (3237) and Muslim (1436) narrated that Abu Hurayrah said:
The Messenger of Allaah said: “If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses, and he spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning.” If she refuses with no excuse, she is disobeying and is being defiant (nushooz), and he is no longer obliged to spend on her and clothe her. The husband should admonish her and remind her of the punishment of Allah, and forsake her in her bed. He also has the right to beat her. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.” (4:34)
So, a reader has commented, “How Islam typifies husband-wife “love”: she must provide sex-on-demand even if at the stove on the back of a camel and if she declines sex Angels curse her.” In one occasion, a beautiful lady came to the Prophet to meet at his mosque in Medina. But her presence aroused intense sexual passion in the Prophet. He immediately ran to his house, which was adjacent to the mosque, and asked Jainab, the divorced wife of his adopted son Zeid) to satiate his passion. At that moment, she was busy with tanning a sheep’s skin. But she had no alternative but to offer her body to be raped by the Prophet.
Furthermore, raping kafir women is a sacred duty for every Muslim; because it is a part of jihad, which makes Allah happy. On April 15, 2003, the Muslim party workers of Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI (M) dragged bus load of Hindu women returning from marriage festival to Dhantala Madrassha, in the district of Nadia, West Bengal, and gang raped them. The gangsters robbed them of all gold ornaments and other valuables. They killed the driver of the bus and forced the male passengers on to the roof of the vehicle. They inflicted similar indignities on the passengers of the next bus. All this went on for hours as the captive men and women screamed for help within an earshot of the police station. Yet police (of the extraordinarily secular government of West Bengal) heard nothing, saw nothing, and rebuffed attempts at lodging an FIR. Next morning police visited the spot, accompanied by the criminals concerned, and the victims were duly frightened into silence. This Muslims have done this to please Allah and purify the new madrasa, which was to be opened within a few days.
Conclusion
To conclude, Muslims are entitled to marry their closest kin and have sex-on-demand, which amounts to statutory rape, while raping the kafir women is a sacred act of Jihad. Also after entering Allah’s paradise, they will each have 72 heavenly damsels, called houris, to satiate their last. So, in Islam, women are not to be loved, but to be raped, used for satisfying men's lust.
