How the Quran allows marriages with grandmothers and granddaughters, and how Muslims, who claim themselves to be the only thinking people, think too much to twist the real and clear meaning of the unethical or erroneous Quranic verses to their liking...
Muslims love to say that the Quran is for people, who are thinking-minded, as if non-Muslims were idiots, who do not use their brains. They will make this claim despite the fact that non-Muslims today comprise a civilization that powered more by brain and thinking than the Muslim civilization. In other words, it is actually the Muslims, who appear less inclined to think and use their brains. The same applies to their reading and understanding the Quran.
In order to make it obvious, let me first ask this question: Is it ok to marry and have sex with your grandmothers or your granddaughters?
Most right-thinking people will emphatically answer "no", which is the correct answer morally.
Now let us read what Quran says about whom the Muslims can marry in An Nisa 4:23-24. Prohibited to you (For marriage) are
-
- Your mothers, daughters, sisters;
- father's sisters, Mother's sisters;
- brother's daughters, sister's daughters;
- foster-mothers (Who gave you suck), foster-sisters; your wives' mothers;
- your step-daughters under your guardianship, born of your wives to whom ye have gone in,- no prohibition if ye have not gone in;-
- (Those who have been) wives of your sons proceeding from your loins; and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same time, except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful;-
- Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess:
Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.
So, a Muslim can have sex with any women, except those listed above, as long as he marries the woman and give the dowry.
Now, if one uses her/his brain and think carefully about the verse, he/she will find that grandmothers and granddaughters are not on the list. Consequently, a Muslim can marry and have sex with them lawfully. Here is another instance, where Islam allows Muslims to engage in incest.
This certainly a disgusting thing to do; and most Muslims today will also likely not approve this consequence of the verse 4:23-24. But they can not deny that Allah allows it. Otherwise, they have to say: Allah made a mistake in the Quran.
Some Muslims have offered a feeble argument that since your mother is unlawful because of blood relation, then the mother of your mother automatically becomes unlawful because of the blood relations. Similarly, granddaughter becomes prohibited, because she is the daughter of your daughter.
This argument does not stand, because the above verses allow first cousin marriage, although there is common blood between first cousins. And cousin marriage is morally acceptable to all Muslims.
When your aunt, like your mother, is unlawful because of blood relations, your aunt’s daughters, i.e. your first cousins, should also be unlawful using the same principle. So, Islam’s sanction of cousin marriage nullifies the above argument against granddaughter/grandmother marriage on the ground of blood relations.
So what the Muslim will do? Back to square one: They will say that the Quran is for the thinking people. They will argue that we are thinking people and do not accept what it literally and clearly says or allows. Instead, what we Muslims, the thinking people, think about the Quran is what is correct. In other word, just ignore what the Quran clearly says, because Islam is for thinking people, and we the thinking Muslims think and judge what is right and what is wrong. So much the Quran is the perfect divine guidance for the mankind!
Instead of accepting that there could be errors in the Quran, Muslims change what the Quran really says and boast that there is no error in the Quran. That’s is their way of being and claiming to be the people who think. Yeah, right! The real, logically, thinking people have no choice but to conclude that Muslims think, but stupidly or dishonestly.

And there is even more to say. In line 6 the quran mentions the sons who derived from your loins. Other translations refer to the backbone. Both translations refer to wrong ancient thoughts, were the sperms come from. In fact nobody in the world has sons who derived from their loins or backbones. Another typical quranic error!
For all people who dont know: Sperms derive from the balls!

Isn't the Quran "clear" and "easy to understand" ?
So, why would you or anyone else need a "tafsir" to understand it ?

For Rzq, the Quran must mention mother in plural, because Islam allows polygamy. So, a person is supposed to have more than one mother -- own mother, plus up to three more stepmothers, plus also possibly the sex-slaves of the father. So, if the Quran doesn't mention mother in plural, it would legalize marrying one's stepmothers.

a) By this same logic, "sisters" and "female cousins" would be equivalent. So where do Muslims get the nod for marrying their own cousins?
b) The verses specifically mention "brothers daughters" and "sisters daughters" (nieces), "fathers sisters" and "mothers sisters". Then why mention these specifically, if "mothers (plural)" a generic term in this context? If "mothers" is generic, surely it will also include your female aunts.
The Quran is equally crystal clear on this topic, as it is on the rules of inheritance. Illogical and riddled with errors in both cases.

4:22, uses the word aba okum again in plural. That means your father and grandfather. The grandfather is not written because of the okum at the end of the word. The grandfather bit is mustatir (hidden)in the word. It assumes you have enough intelligence to know. Arab speakers will tell you of this if you ask!
4:23 uses mother and daughter as plural, also encompassing grandmothers and grandaughters.
4:22 does not talk about mum 1,2,3 etc. A person has one biological mother.
Step mums and mother in laws are dealt in 4:23.
I think you need to go back to Arabic 101 and start again.

As Abu Taleb already stated, Muslims try to explain errors through feeble logic. Your post, and bakkah dot net are great examples. The Quran lists seven and ONLY 7 exclusions. Any others you cook up, are feeble logic.
For example, take #12 in your list. How on earth do you "accidentally" have sexual intercourse with a woman who you thought was your wife? Has that ever happened to you? Not to me nor anyone I know! I am sure you will come up with another feeble logic reason but anyway, it is laughable. Please spare me.
It's pretty easy Malem... all women under sharia law are covered of about 5 inches of clothes, all you see is a pair of eyes so the lady lean forward presenting her ass and the man... thinking it's his obedient slave wife again wanting to give him a little pleasure again that way she won't be beaten again
oups, when time to kiss her to thank her... he remove this... this... those clothes and what does he see...... :O!!!!!!! NO WAY... IT WASNT HERRRRRRRRRRR... HOW COULD I... DAMNNNN I WAS SURE IT WAS HER... SCUSE ME ALLAHHHHHHHHH
and for rzq taking another verse to explain another verse it's totally STUPID AND MEANINGLESS
the first verse we're talking about it's about women you can marry and explaining there WHY mother is in plurals :-) your other verse I don't know where the f**k you took it but you can't say "heyyy look, at the first page fathers is plural, so... it means ... you know... father and grandfather... so further in that shitty book... mothers... in plural... shall mean the same hehhhehehehehe..."
have other stupid things like this to show to try to fool people around with your stone-age logic?!

Maybe these clowns don't realise that by simply making it impermissible to marry one's own mother or daughter, it makes it clear that it could never be permissoble to marry your own mother's mother (Grandmother), or father's mother, as well as grandchildren. It's as simple as that.
Mr Khan et al - if you can provide reference to any fatwa that gives your sick viewpoint any clout, please do so...........good luck.
written by Mohamed , April 12, 2012
On the very next page Qadhi Khan records a classic Fatwa of Imam Abu Hanifa
"if a person marries a mahram (mother, sister, daughter, aunt etc.) and has sexual intercourse with them and even admits the fact that he knew while performing the marital rites that it was Haraam for him to do that even then according to Imam Abu Hanifa, he is not subject to any type of Islamic penalty".
"If someone marries five women at a time or marries a fifth woman while already having four wives or marries his sister in law or mother in law and then performs intercourse with her and then says that I knew that it is haram for me or performs nikah al mutah with a woman then there will be no plenty of adultery on him in all of these situations though he confessed that he knew it was haram on him"
It is also permissible to marry daughter of fathers slave.

A woman may legally belong to a man in one of two ways; by continuing marriage or temporary marriage. In the former, the duration of the marriage need not be specified; in the latter, it must be stipulated, for example, that it is for a period of an hour, a day, a month, a year, or more.
A women temporarily married, say, for a month or a year, has her marriage automatically annulled at the end of that time, or at any other time when the husband releases her from the balance of her engagement. It is not necessary for this that there be any witnesses, or that the woman have had her period.
A woman who has not yet reached the age of nine or a menopausal woman may remarry immediately after divorce, without waiting the hundred days that are otherwise required.
A woman who has had her ninth birthday or who has not yet entered menopause, must wait for three menstrual periods after her divorce before being allowed to remarry.
If a woman who has not reached her ninth birthday or who has not entered menopause gets temporarily married, she must, at the end of the contract or when the husband has released her from part of it, wait two menstrual periods or forty-five days before marrying again.
If a man commits adultery with a woman he knows is not his wife, while the woman is unaware that the man is not her husband, she must wait one hundred days before remarrying.
A man who has committed adultery with his aunt must not marry her daughters, that is to say, his first cousins.
If a wife has her marriage annulled because her husband is unable to have sexual relations with her either vaginally or anally, he must pay her as damages one-half of the dowry specified in the marriage contract. If the husband or wife annuls the marriage for any of the above-mentioned reasons, the man owes nothing to the woman if they have had sexual relations
together; if they have not, he must pay her the full amount of the dowry.
If the father or paternal grandfather of a boy has him marry a woman for a temporary marriage, he may prematurely cancel it in the boys interest, even if the marriage was contracted before the boy reached the age of puberty. If, for example, a fourteen-year-old boy has been married off to a woman for a period of two years, they may return her freedom to the woman before this time has run its course; but a continuing marriage cannot be broken in this way.
If a man sodomizes the son, brother, or father of his wife after their marriage, the marriage remains valid.
If a man who has married his first cousin commits adultery with her mother, the marriage is not thereby annulled.
