As per Islam's teaching, muslim can lie while in vulnerable position. So now he "appologizes" for what he said earlier. Why? All of a sudden he changed his views? or because right now it's more beneficial to lie to bust up Mahhomedian and Muslim Brothers' cause to take over the world.

Note in the interview how Rauf backpedals and apologizes for all of his outrageous statements and associations. Has he changed, or is he just up against a tough interviewer? He is now the champion of "moderate Muslims." What Hannity should have asked is, "Who are these moderate Muslims? Name names and groups that agree with your position." That question would have been followed by a long silence. People who have no following become irrelevant.

If Pakistani Americans wish to feel welcome in the country they have chosen to live in, then, they must judge the west and Pakistan using exactly the same criteria, and expose three popular falsehoods.
First, it is a lie that American Muslims are victims of extreme religious prejudice. Certainly, no country is free of religious discrimination. But, the secular west is infinitely less discriminatory than any Muslim country. How many churches are there in Saudi Arabia? Yet Muslims have built hundreds of new mosques in America â with Saudi money â and many after 9/11. New churches or temples are impossible in Pakistan; even old ones are burned down by rampaging mobs.
In America, Muslims successfully use the legal system to seek damages if there is discrimination in matters of employment, housing, or access to public facilities. But in Pakistan, if you are a Christian, Hindu or Ahmadi, you simply accept your fate.

I get the hunch a person like Finelivin56 who was born in a Islam society would not really need FOX-News to form her opinion about Islam. I've rejected Islam without the influence of it, because its not broadcast here. Hoodbhoy has some good points usually however he does go off at a tangent.
Debate is a good thing and hoodbhoy is doing a great job. However i have to disagree with some of his above points.
1. If a person whether they moved from italy, pakistan or anywhere else and they become an american citizen.
Then they should enjoy the same rights as any other american citizen irrespective of parental background.
So as an american citizen you should not allow people to walk over you because the country of your parents is run by tyrants.

If you come from a tyrannical regime like Saudi Arabia and applied for asylum.
You will not have the same rights of a citizen.
Once you have been granted citizenship then you become a British citizen. That in broad terms means that if you are in trouble abroad then her majesty's goverment will help you. In return her majesty's government expects you to obey the LAW.

Islam’s legal system is radically different from that of Western nations. Under
islamic law, the father is a “governor” or “administrator” of the family, the absolute sovereign within his domestic realm, with the RIGHT to EMPLOY VIOLENCE (and even MURDER) to CONTROL his wife, children, and others.
According to “Reliance of the Traveller,” the most complete concise sourcebook for Sharia Law, there is NO PROTECTION from VIOLENCE:
Obligation to Command the Right and Forbid the Wrong — Muslims are obligated to discipline other Muslims. If censuring with harsh words, breaking things, or intimidation does not work, Muslims are obligated “to directly hit or kick the person, or use similar measures that do not involve weapons.” (Section q5.8)
Wife beating – “(A husband) may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow.” (Section m10.12)
Honor killing – “The following are not subject to retaliation: a father or mother for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring. (Section o1.2(4))
Killing an apostate – “There is no indemnity for killing an apostate. Or any expiation, since it is killing someone who deserves to die.” (Section o8.4)
Obligation to engage in Jihad – “Jihad is a communal obligation upon Muslims
each year.” (Section o9.1)
Objective of jihad: “The caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians, and
Zoroastrians until they become Muslim or else pay the non-Muslim poll tax.”
