"They (Christians) need to know that conquest is coming, that Egypt will be Islamic, and that they must pay jizya or emigrate," Morsi reportedly said.
According to the popular Egyptian website, El Bashayer, Muhammad Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidate, just declared that he will "achieve the Islamic conquest (fath) of Egypt for the second time, and make all Christians convert to Islam, or else pay the jizya," the additional Islamic tax, or financial tribute, required of non-Muslims, or financial tribute.
In a brief report written by Samuel al-Ashay and published by El Bashayer on May 27, Morsi allegedly made these comments while speaking with a journalist at the headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, adding "We will not allow Ahmed Shafiq [his contending presidential candidate] or anyone else to impede our second Islamic conquest of Egypt."
After his interviewer pointed out that the first Muslim conquest of Egypt was "carried out at the hands of Amr bin al-As [in 641]," he asked Morsi, "Who will the second Islamic conqueror be?" Morsi, replied, "The second Muslim conqueror will be Muhammad Morsi," referring to himself, "and history will record it."
When asked what he thought about many Christian Copts coming out to vote for his secular opponent, Ahmed Shafiq, Morsi reportedly said, "They need to know that conquest is coming, and Egypt will be Islamic, and that they must pay jizya or emigrate."
If this interview is accurate, certainly Morsi would not be the first political Islamist in Egypt to say he wants to see the nation's Christians subjugated and made to pay jizya (see here for more examples).
However, considering that the English language media are currently reporting that Morsi is trying to woo Egypt's Christians and women to win more votes, it is difficult to imagine that he actually made those comments: one does not doubt that he favors the idea of a "second Islamic conquest" and the subjugation of Christians; one doubts that he would be so foolish as to reveal his mind now, publicly, and thereby jeopardize his chances of winning the presidency.
Then again, his remarks are reported in the context of a private meeting at the headquarters of the Brotherhood's political party. Perhaps Morsi thought he was speaking to a fellow Islamist who would not expose him? Perhaps he was frustrated at having to win Copts over and was "venting"? Stay tuned.

such manner as would NOT be contrary to principles of Shari’ah.” and
Article 12, affirms that “every MAN shall have the right, WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF SHARI'AH, to free movement”
FURTHERMORE, the declaration conflicts with international human rights as it affords only a subordinated status to religious minorities and prohibits conversion from Islam. It provides the right to freedom of movement or marriage only to men. It also presents glaring evidence of discrimination against women, as
Islam provides MALES ONLY with many "freedoms" that Western democracies do not:
Freedom to marry multiple wives, or to marry pre-pubescent cousins.
Freedom to execute blasphemers (as defined by Shari'ah), gays, apostates, witches, dishonorable children ( usually daughters) ...
Freedom to discriminate against ALL non-Muslims and ALL women.
Freedom to call for genocide against entire populations.
Shari’ah represents an extensive and amoral legal code which limits rights such as free speech, freedom of conscience, and freedom of religion.
Sura 9:33, summarizes this best:
It is He, Al-Wahid The One, The Unique, who sent His Messenger (muhammad)
with guidance (qur'an) and the true faith (islam only) in order to make it superior (by whatever means necessary) to other systems of belief (what the rest of humanity believes).
Muhammad said, "If anyone changes his religion, kill him," and the death penalty
for apostasy is still part of Islamic law (shari'ah).

Nonetheless, that's exactly what your beloved Islam demands, doesn't it?
This is what the Quran says about Christians and Jews:
Quran 9.29: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. If anything, Morsi is only expressing his intention to implement true Islamic ideals. As a good Muslim, you should support him to the heels for expressing this noble, sacred desire.
Why you are so opposed to Islamic ideals, brother?

I don't know why but I expected better from you!
9:29 is a policy document for an Islamic state.
I got no problems with the khilafah system. Infact the sooner the better.

It seems that you are sure, this report is a lie. So, you have spoken to Morsi and he has denied it? If so, we will remove it. Just produce a proof of your conversation with Morsi and we will do it.
written by Abc , June 01, 2012
Your paragraph from the article starts with "if this interview is accurate"
What does that tell you???
It could be absolute lies too.
Until it is verified, would it not be wiser to take a moment and verify!
written by Editor M. A. Khan , June 01, 2012
The report is true until a denial is offer by Morsi, although that itself can be taqiyah.
No more comment on this.
written by Amboyduke , June 01, 2012
The proof, of course, is reflected in their actions...Coptic's murdered and churches burned to the ground, bombed, etc.
The odds are overwhelming that Morsi said EXACTLY what the Egyptian website reported.
The onus is on THAT website to verify or refute his comments.
You are doing stellar work on here. Keep it up.

Theologically your conclusions are wrong as is your revisionist history.
This is what 9:29 did for the Jews

Just like the Quran aka theology advises you not to live in a kuffar country and commands you to make hijrat to an Islamic land, or to fight and kill the kafirs, whoever is near you -- but you don't that.
Yet, what Muslims did to the Jews? See at the time of Muhammad, the world's >75% of the Jews lived in lands that terrorist Jihadi invaders soon occupied; the rest lived mostly in Europe.
In 1930, only about 1 million Jews were left in the Muslim world, while 12 million in Europe.
This is what reflects the truth about Muslims' treatment of the Jews; any other talk is irrelevant.
written by Abc , June 03, 2012
However we do know a decade and bit after 1930, what befell the Jews in western Europe by their Christian brethren.
Which country in western Europe had more Jews in it after the holocaust than before it??? Care to guess why they fled there??
"any other talk is irrelavent" because it debunks your world view.
written by Editor, M A Khan , June 03, 2012
In Europe, they suffered horribly throughout the Middle Ages. Still, there were 12 million of them living in 1930. What about the Muslim world? Unfortunately, storied written about Jews of the Muslim world never care to reflect with dire fact, their massive ethnic cleansing.
We know the story of the Jews of Europe in the 1930s and early part of 1940s. But what about the one million Jews that were still scattered around the Muslim world in 1930? The West still hosts 7-8 million Jews? How many does the Muslim world?

This is NOT true. Muslims (the descendants of Arabs and Turks) comprise about 15 percent of the population. They have full citizenship rights, including health care, education, housing, etc. as well as the RIGHT to VOTE and elect representatives to the Israeli parliament, the Knesset.
Under shari'ah, only muslims are citizens. Everyone else is a dhimmi who must pay a special protection (extortion) tax, the jizya, in order to exist. There are many special rules/restrictions governing the dhimmi class (including subjugation and humiliation), which do not apply to the privileged muslim class.
Laws in western societies are designed to protect the rights, the lives, and the property of minorities from the tyranny of the majority. It is the duty of the state to provide protection from mob rule and violence. Islam, in contrast, encourages outrageous behaviors by muslims, violent responses by muslims to minor offenses, and belligerent, bellicose posturing and actions by muslims whenever anything occurs that "offends" islam.
I don't understand your last sentence except for the word "kufr" - which means "untouchable dirty lowlife unclean lying sobs who are in the same category as fecal matter." I assume you meant this comment for us non-muslims. Mind translating the rest for us non-Arabic speakers?

@ Saif Ul-Haq
In Germay the "Green-Party" has quite a few Muslims Politicians (on the local level) who are "second generation Germans" meaning their Parents came mainly from Islamic Turkey the same is here in Austria, Austrians with Turkish ancestry can partake in the political process, contrary to some Islamic Country like Pakistan whose Muslim population could demand the release of a killer, because the victim was a Christian politician...

Haters can hate, that's all you are good for.
Quote End]
So dear Muslim, when your brothers of Faith kill Non-Muslim they must be doing it out of some warped sense of LOVE for the victims? Is there any person like Mother Theresa from the Islamic world that went into a Kufr land and SERVED the people there over a long period of time? There was NONE I'm aware of!
You too belong to these people who most likely think others can NOT separate a person from his "ideology" or even actions? Because you can not do this? A Muslim must hate everything Non-Islamic, and so also the people?
Guess what? One can dislike a Non-Muslim MORE than a Muslim, if the Non-Muslim committed some heinous act. A religion like Islam can not demand respect, because it simply is nothing more then ideas formulated by a people long gone..... A religious idea which has shown the inherited FOOOOOOLISHNESS many times over...

Then you write;
"If this interview is accurate, certainly Morsi would not be the first political Islamist in Egypt to say he wants to see the nation's Christians subjugated and made to pay jizya."
Isn't ratmond a writer for spencers jihadwatch.
This is about as fair and balanced as faux news.
This is comedic!!
