i too think this is a giant leap forward ..... I wish moslems think behind the logic n start having a critical look at this book....... Bt i fear discrimination against its followers coz i was too once a devout moslem bt when i got the truth with the help of faithfreedom, islam watch n answering islam the reality behind the curtain was revealed to me it took a long process, weighing n analyzing both side views bt eventually truth was standing naked infront of me....i had two options either to close my eyes n turn my face or accept the pain of truth..... It is a step in the right direction. After all Quran is a hate-nonmuslim book and calls upon muslims to impose this barbaric cult on nonmuslims by deceit or by force ( that is when muslims are in a majority and weild political power ). If Spain bans Quran , I think others should follow and expose the true nature of this barbaric , violent ,unspiritual and stupid cult that islam is. Muslims cannot take refuge under that bogus thing called 'blasphemy law' . Freedom and free thinking should over-ride the socalled "hurt-feeling" and false sense of "persecution" that muslims wear to coerce and force everyone to toe their barbaric line claiming "divine right " of muslims to hrt and persecute anyone but not get back the same thing in retaliation. See the condition of nonmuslims in the socalled islamic countries and muslim majority countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt , Indonesia, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, etc. The muslims always threaten and murder , and rape and plunder the nonmuslims at will ,while no justice is done at all to the agrieved nonmuslims. This is the barbaric and partisan and highly biased nature of this arab cult.

Why stop witht the Koran. The entire political system called Islam should be banned.

In all probability, the application will be rejected on historical ground citing instances of recognition to Koran as a holy book accorded by religious as well as political leaders in the past. Battle against Islam should be carried on to the mainstream media, so that apostasy from Islam takes on a revolutionary proportion and a 'ridda war' starts in the heartlands of Islam.

The most important aspect we Islam-critics should focus on is EDUCATION. Why are some what can be called "modern-day cults and sects" are not gaining huge numbers of new adherents? Mainly because the Public was INFORMED. Now with the Internet this information about Islam can spread.

DO NOT BAN a book which is the best conceivable anti-islam tool ! Clement-Islam-Watch Pastor. I have missed your posts. And I second your request for a reinstatement of Duh_swami. His pithy comments have often brought a much needed laugh to a subject that is dark - namely Islam.

The IW resident Muslim provoquers have a nasty habit of replying with rude comments, name calling and other personal attacks - and Duh just let it get the better of him. Hope to hear from him again soon.

To really judge the above petition one should look at the points he made on why, here are a few of his, what I consider rather unfounded and foolish points
The Quran is not a holy book and religion but a violent book, full of hatred and discrimination. The Quran is a Holy book of Islam and Islam is a religion, thus this point is false and only ones opinion.The Koran is a horrible book that provokes a community called Muslims to do jihad and kill innocent people and destroy world peace. A Book is an inanimate object it can neither provoke or make a human being do something. There is no directive in the Quran to kill innocent people, it actually prohibits that, there is no verse mentioning destroy world peace, again all opinion.
The Koran is responsible for all terrorism we have seen in recent years where thousands of people have lost their lives. Baseless garbage, The ongoing violence is Mexico is drug cartels they are terrorizing the entire population as they are in Columbia, much of the violence in Africa is over oil rich areas again causing terrorist acts, China’s terrorists acts against its own people are not Islamic etc neither are their cyber attacks.. Of course I realize that there are many very dark arab muslims in Africa after centuries of slavery and rape.
Especially in Sudan. But they still consider themselves to be Arabs and not Africans. And they are hardly less racist because of it.
