The infidels know of no sin! Pre-marital sex is a sin punishable by the Islamic court. If an unmarried man and an unmarried woman are found guilty of fornication in an Islamic court, their punishment will be as the following: The woman and the man who fornicate scourge each of them a hundred whips; and in the matter of God s religion, let no tenderness for them seize you if you believe in God and the Last Day; and let a party of the believers witness their punishment. (24:2) If the unmarried man or woman commit fornication more than once, then they will be punished three times by hundred wipes, and if they are proven guilty for the fourth time, then they will be put to death. (See the chapter on "hudud" in Sharaya' and Sharh Lum'a also a;-Khu'i, Takmilah, p. 37- (As for adultery, its punishment is even more severe because married persons have no excuse, whatsoever, to commit adultery. Masturbation
Once when Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq was asked about masturbation, he recited this very verse and mentioned masturbation as one of its examples. (Wasa'il, vol. 18, p. 575) In another, the Imam was asked about masturbation; he said, "It is an indecent act..." (Wasa'il, vol. 14, p. 267; vol. 18, pp. 574-5)

Masturbation is a sin for which a person can also be punished by the Islamic court. Of course, the nature of the punishment is upon the judge's discretion. Once a person was caught masturbating and was brought to Imam 'Ali. The Imam punished him by beating on his hands until it turned red; then he made arrangement for his marriage on government's expenses. (Wasa'il, vol. 14, p. 267; vol. 18, pp. 574-5)

These days some scientists are telling us that there is no harm in masturbation, rather it is a natural act. To prove that it is natural, they give examples of some wild animals, like monkeys. Actually they represent those who have gone to the other extreme of sexual morality. They have degraded human beings to the level of wild animals, and then justify their deeds by finding examples in the animal world. They are, in Qur'anic expression, "like cattle, nay they are more astray; they are the heedless ones." There are less than 5% of all muslims who enjoy a living standard like in the western world, most of them living in the oil-rich gulf countries or as foreign workers in the west. The rest of the muslim world population is about equally divided into two groups: The first one has a living standard similar to that of Newly Industrialised Countries (NICs) with the main difference that most of them are not really industrialised. They are mostly also depending on oil which accounts for most exports and public income. And then there is the third group almost 50% of all muslims belong to which is downsinde of any poverty line because they do not have any oil or not enough oil and no industrialisation. So what is Ashraf bragging for? For the fact, that islam is the religion with the highest illiteracy-rates? With the lowest income per capita? Worst education? Worst health care systems? I have been visiting your site ever since I came across your article on FFI. FYI, I have been following Ali Sina's writings since the days of Golshani.com.

Anyways, just to let you know, I am not a Muslim just by twist of fate. One of my parents left the religion to marry the other despite all the attendant danger and threats. Otherwise, I would have been born a Muslim and perhaps still be stuck in that cult.

I think that two of the main flaws of Islam are not yet questioned.

1) There is an easy and apparent proof that Islam is only made up by "Moh" and the Quran is not a God's verses, but the self-styled Prophet's verses. I am talking about SEAL OF PROPHECY. If there is a need in the world, why will not Allah think of sending another "Prophet" to the earth. GOing through various arguements, it seems Quran is having quite a lot of errors and in most cases, interpretations can be very much of variance. Essentially, there are ambiguities in the verses of GOd himself. If one assumes that Hadiths provide more insight to Islam, there are many arguements that Hadith is not exactly GOd's words and there may be inconsistencies in them. Many Muslims prefer not to defend the Hadiths. Atleast to clarify on the Quran and Hadiths after 1400 years, Allah must send another Prophet, but Moh sealed his fate by declaring that he is the "Final Prophet" which leaves Allah with no more option. This is an apparent fallacy of Islam.

2)Any religion must undergo revalidation after a long time, precisely 1400 years. SOme religious texts which were written on particular contexts of a region and some type of people may not be valid universally after so many years. The God should validate them by sending more prophets or the religious scholars must research to validate the religious holy texts uptodate. The Islamic countries prevent any interrogation on the holy text or the Prophet's life, which in itself will block the thought process. The Muslims have no other option except to mug-up or blindly follow without interrogating any of the 1400 years old texts. Every country updates their constitutions and laws periodically to be in tune with times. In many religions, new saints evolve who research on their religion to come up with more clarity or direction. Islam blocks freedom of thought even on true interrogation of it's holy texts.

It may not be neccesary for many other religions for validation of it's holy texts, but for Islam, it is very much necessary. Why are some Moderates and some Extremists. What is the opinion of the Moderates on the Extremists ? The Mderates may say that the Extremists are enemies of Islam and they are not true followers of the relgion. On the contrary, the Extremists may call the moderates as being not true followers. So Islam today stands on ambiguity and lack of understanding. After so may bomb blasts and suicide attacks, the Muslims should have attempted in a mass scale to determine the correct version to be followed by everyone who practices Islam, but they never came up. The whole world which includes the beleivers and non-beleivers wants to know why there is so much violence throughout the world in the name of one particular religion.

Why are Christians so notorious in sinning throughout the world? What is the real secret behind it?

As the latest devastating and quite embarrassing reality check study about premarital sex in the United States of America have revealed, 95% of all Americans had premarital sex! Now of course, one must take into consideration that out of the 250 million Americans, there are around 12 to 15 million Muslims, which puts them around the 5% percentile. This means that almost 100% of the Jews and Christians in the US had sex before marriage!

So why is that? They also invented the lie of that all sins are equal and all sins deserve the punishment of death! So to these infidels, saying an inappropriate word to someone is the same as committing adultery. This again takes us back to the point about them turning everything into a sin and that only their false god, Jesus, can cause for these sins to be forgiven.

It is against Islam to rape Muslim women, but Muhammad actually encouraged the rape of women captured in battle. This hadith provides the context for the Qur’anic verse (4:24):

The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives.
Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: (Sura 4:24) "And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess." (Abu Dawud 2150)


Actually, as the hadith indicates, it wasn't Muhammad, but "Allah the Exalted" who told the men to rape the women in front of their husbands, which is all the more reason not to think of Islam as being the same as other religion.

There are several hadith in which Muhammad is asked for his opinion on how women should be raped following their capture. This pertains to an episode in which his men were reluctant to devalue their new slaves for later resale by getting them pregnant. Muhammad was asked about coitus interruptus in particular:

"O Allah's Apostle! We get female captives as our share of booty, and we are interested in their prices, what is your opinion about coitus interruptus?" The Prophet said, "Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul that which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence.” (Bukhari 34:432)
As indicated, the prophet of Islam did not mind his men raping the women, provided they ejaculated within the bodies of their victims.

As one might imagine, Muhammad's obvious approval of raping women captured in battle, and his own personal participation as recorded in many places, is of intense inconvenience to the Muslim apologists of our time. For this reason, some of them attempt to explain away these many episodes and Qur'anic references to sex with captives by pretending that these are cases in which women have fled bad marriages and sought refuge with the Muslims. Some apologists even refer to them as "wives," even though the Qur'an makes a clear distinction between "those whom thy right hand possesses" and true wives (see Sura 33:50).

Beyond the desperation of the 21st century apologist however, there is absolutely nothing in the historical text that supports this rosy revision of Muslim history. The women of the Banu Mustaliq were sold into slavery following their rape:

In fact, female slaves were traded like any other simple commodity by Muhammad and his Muslims:

"Then the apostle sent Sa-d b. Zayd al-Ansari, brother of Abdu'l-Ashal with some of the captive women of Banu Qurayza to Najd and he sold them for horses and weapons." (Ibn Ishaq 693)

Is it Muslim to sell one's wife for horses? Clearly these were not wives!

More importantly, by definition a "captured" woman is not one who is fleeing her husband. She is fleeing her captor (ie. the Muslim slave raider). This hadith describes a typical raid, in which the women and children are captured as they are attempting to flee the attacking Muslims:

“…and then we attacked from all sides and reached their watering-place where a battle was fought. Some of the enemies were killed and some were taken prisoners. I saw a group of persons that consisted of women and children [escaping in the distance]. I was afraid lest they should reach the mountain before me, so I shot an arrow between them and the mountain. When they saw the arrow, they stopped. So I brought them, driving them along” (Sahin Muslim 4345)

The Muslim narrator (who happens to be Muhammad's adopted son) sees the women trying to escape (following the massacre of their men) and cuts off their route by shooting an arrow into their path. These aren't women trying to seek refuge with the Muslims. They are trying to avoid capture by the Muslim.

The same hadith goes on to recount that Muhammad personally demanded one of the captured women for his own use:

I drove them along until I brought them to Abu Bakr who bestowed that girl upon me as a prize. So we arrived in Medina. I had not yet disrobed her when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) met me in the street and said: “Give me that girl.” (Sahih Muslim 4345)
The prophet of Islam and his companions used war to collect women for personal sexual use and for trading. Unless she was arbitrarily declared as someone's wife, the woman became a sex slave. In no case was her fate tied to anything that she had personally done, nor was she given a choice about her future.

Because there's a great difference between a nun and a random believing lady. Nuns confine themselves to convents, cloisters or monasteries. A nun lives her entire life there. Wrong on many accounts. Islam is not about equality, at least not equality between men and women. A man is allowed to have more than one wife if he can treat them equally? That's not treating them equally. But besides all of that, NOWHERE does the Qur'an state you need to treat all wives EQUALLY. You just need to treat them JUSTLY, which is very different. If you read the tafsirs on this verse you will come to realize that the definition of dealing justly is far from treating them all equally.
