For decades, I have been sounding the alarm about the ever-increasing menace Islam is posing to America and our way of life. Apathy, political correctness, and massive Islamic lobbying have successfully prevented the public from truly grasping the pervasive Islamic assault.
Freedom of speech, a right greatly cherished by a free people, is an area where Islamic forces are attacking with great effectiveness.
Individuals who dare to voice the truth about Islam, its barbaric sharia laws, and its savage practices are subjected to harassment, threatened with and subjected to ruinous lawsuits. Businesses and organizations with the slightest deviation from the Islamic dictates face boycotts and the loss of media advertising sponsors.
Concurrently, much of academia and many universities throughout the land are generously funded by Islamic governments and organizations to market a highly sanitized and distorted version of Islam to young, impressionable minds. Even at the primary school level, a hugely dishonest portrayal of Islam is included in books pupils are required to study.
In recent years, the defenders and apologists of Islam have frequently tried to equate the criticisms of Islam with ‘racism’. You speak unfavorably of the horrors that were committed by the prophet of Islam, you criticize any abhorrent doctrine of Islam – be prepared to be called a ‘racist’, a very abhorrent and even criminally culpable accusation in Western countries.
Islam is an “ideology”, more precisely a “religious ideology” of strongly political nature, and it can be embraced by people of all races and ethnicities. Yet, charging the critics of Islam as racists has become almost universal, particularly in Western countries. And a high-profile ongoing legal battle in the Birmingham Magistrate’s Court in Britain can settle the question of whether or not Islam is a race.
On 8 April 2014, Birmingham Magistrates' Court will settle the question of whether defendant Tim Burton, Radio Officer of the newly-formed ‘Liberty GB’ political party, has committed “racially aggravated harassment” to Muslim activist Fiyaz Mughal by calling him “a mendacious grievance-mongering taqiyya-artist” in a Twitter post.
Do our peace-loving Muslim brothers know that they are already contributing to Islamic Jihad? Whether or not they knew it, apologists of Islam and various Islamic websites state so. Controlling temper, assisting others, struggling with their own soul, and struggling to quit smoking also come under ‘JIHAD’.
These Islamic apologists and websites have been striving hard to alter the original meaning of the word ‘JIHAD’. They try to emphasize that the word ‘jihad’ means a ‘spiritual struggle’ and has nothing to do with the terror, aggression or violence on the ‘infidels’, and sometimes even on peace-loving moderate Muslims, who become hurdles in their way of JIHAD. The core message of the ‘noble’ Quran to its followers is ‘To kill and to be killed’- (in ‘Allah’s way’ of course). By wrongly portraying ‘jihad’ simply as a ‘spiritual struggle’, they are working against their own Quranic teachings.
Jihad means killing & looting of the so-called ‘enemies’ of Islam, expanding Muslim territories, converting non-Muslims by deception (Taqiya), and suppressing the subjects of the land.
The latest paramount movie ‘Noah’, starring Russell Crowe, that depicts the immense death and destructions as per the “divine will” of God as accounted in the Bible and the Quran are raising protests in Islamic countries. Indonesia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain have banned the movie, citing its disagreements with the Quran or offence of depicting Allah’s holy prophets in images.
The Islamic Society of Orange County (Garden Grove, CA) recently sponsored and posted on YouTube a lecture by Salam al-Marayati on “The Medina Constitution”. Mr. al-Marayati is the President of the Muslim Public Affairs Council which is in the business of making Islam look good to non-Muslims. His choice of the Medina Charter as an example poses quite a challenge in this regard because it was basically a pact among thieves. Undeterred by facts, Mr. al-Marayati extolls it as a “wonderful document”, and tries to compare it favorably with the US Constitution. In my previous article “Bribery in Islam” I delved into just one aspect of this use: the use of Zakat as a bribe to non-Muslims for conversion or to influence them to act in a manner that benefited Islam in some way.
I was taken to task by the commentator who writes as “....” and whom I call “Dotty” for a number of omissions relating to other uses of Zakat and at the time I conceded that he had a point.
For Islam to be true, both Muhammad and his supposed God must be of moral perfection as conceived by the human conscience. In fact, the Quran, the holy book of Islam, does claim that Muhammad was the perfect human being ever created:
"Ye have indeed in the Apostle of God a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in God and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of God." (Quran 33:21)
Therefore, Muhammad is expected to the “Paragon of Moral Perfection” as per Islam’s own claim. Also in the following verses, Allah endows moral greatness upon Muhammad:
Below is a hand-written note given by Michael Adebolajo aka “Mujahid Abu Hamza” (translated “Allah’s soldier [and] father of Hamza”) to a passer-by after he and Michael Adebowale aka “Ismail Ibn Abdullah” (translated “Ismail son of the slave of Allah”) had mutilated and murdered Gunner Lee Rigby. It was used as evidence at their trial.
On 9 February 2014, we reported that the Spanish police picked up Pakistani-born Ex-Muslim critic of Islam Imran Firasat from the street and immediately started his expulsion procedure, ignoring his plea that his appeal against the revocation of his Refugee Status was with the Supreme Court. Only timely intervention by Firasat’s lawyer prevented his forthwith deportation to Pakistan where he faces definite death penalty or mob lynching.
It is no surprise that a simple name given to an individual or entity won’t attract much criticism or analysis, but a complicated one would. That is the nature of things. The more attributes attached to an individual or entity may give rise to more analyses and comparisons of those attributes. In Islam, its divine entity Allah has ninety-nine names, each carrying an attribute possessed by Him. So, those varied attributes of Allah calls for comparison and analysis for consistency. In this article, I will show that such attributes pose difficult problems for Muslim believers on the theological level. I will also show that Allah’s name in Islam has at least a hundred names and not just ninety nine.
We are often told that Muslims are commanded to be just and honest and it is certainly true that the Koran contains many verses requiring exactly this of Muslims (see for example: K.2:282; 3:18; 4:58; 6:152 to give but a few examples).
This article is only going to consider “Islamic honesty”. “Islamic Justice” is quite separate issue that involves the study of Shariah Law on which “Islamic Justice” is based.
In the matter of honesty, as is so often the case in the Koran, the verses noted above and other similar verses do not tell the whole story and a more detailed study shows that Islamic honesty is at best a variable and at worst a negotiable quantity, depending on what will benefit Islam most.
Consider the uses to which Islam puts both Zakat (the much vaunted “Islamic charity tax”), Khums (the 20% share for Allah/Muhammad of war-booty of all sorts) and Fai (war-spoils abandoned by an enemy, occupied territory etc.).
Muhammad killed Safiya's father, husband, and family, before he took her as his wife. Muslim clerics used to say that Muhammad protected widows by marrying them. Now we know that he was the reason why those women became widows. After being attacked, they were enslaved, and sometimes taken as wives.
There is a lot of debate between Muslims and non-Muslims about wife-beating. Something I’ve noticed a lot is that people are often talking passed each other on the issues, making it difficult to figure out what the truth is. So I wanted to bring some clarity.
One issue that non-Muslims, and especially ex-Muslims, bring up is the verse in the Quran 4:34. Now, there are a few different interpretations of this verse, and what you’ll find is that some of them are worse than others. But also, you’ll notice that the Muslims that are siding with the least bad ones, are actually claiming that they are good, in other words not evil. So what I’m going to do is present two translations, one from each end of the spectrum of badness.
Al-Fatiha is one of the shorter Suras in the Qur’an.
Al-Fatiha is only 7 verses. Muslims must read it in their daily prayers. It is considered the “Mother” of the whole Qur’an, one of the greatest Suras ever.
Ahmad ibn Hanbal recorded in his Musnad that Abu Sa`id bin Al-Mu`alla had said:
"I was praying when the Prophet called me, so I did not answer him until I finished the prayer. I then went to him and he said, What prevented you from coming? I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! I was praying.' He said, Didn't Allah say, O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. He then said, "I will teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur'an before you leave the Masjid (Mosque)." He held my hand and when he was about to leave the Masjid, I said, `O Messenger of Allah! You said: I will teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur'an.' He said, Yes. Al-Hamdu lillahi Rabbil-`Alamin, It is the seven repeated (verses) and the Glorious Qur'an that I was given.
In this article, I introduce certain stories about Prophet Muhammad. More than a billion human beings today claim that he was a merciful prophet of God. According to them, he was al-Insan al-Kamel, i.e. the perfect human being. Whatever Muslims may believe about Muhammad, the stories of his life as recorded in sacred Islamic texts serve as a 'reality check' of the “true persona” that he was. In this article, I will mostly quote the stories from the most trusted Islamic sources and let the reader judge. I believe that at the end of this essay, the reader would judge Muhammad as a cruel beast, not a saintly prophet of God.
Muslims brag about the Sahaba, the male companions of Prophet Muhammad. One of the most revered Sahaba is Khalid bin Al-Waleed, a great warrior of Islam. His reverence is such in Islam that he is called the “Sword of Islam” (Saif al-Islam).
Well, truth can be stranger than fiction. Khalid was a very greedy and despicable human being. He stayed with the Meccans when they were stronger than Muhammad. But as he watched the power equation tilting toward Muhammad, and that more and more renegades were joining Muhammad and enriching themselves with booty, he joined the Muslim camp in the year 629 AD in order to be on the stronger side and to have a share of Muhammad's booty. And despite bitter past enmity, Muhammad was very happy to receive him, as he was his own kin and a vicious-heart and ruthless warrior, something any mafia gang desperately wants. Khalid did join Islam purely for the greed of booty. For booty, he could commit the most atrocious cruelty in battles. He was a man with no heart or feelings for others. Greed was prime in his life. This makes him a despicable thug in history.
In this article, I do not provide much analysis as the evidence from hadiths talks for itself. I provided evidence in an earlier posting, showing that Muhammad was a rapist. In this article, I extend on that evidence to show that Muhammad's male comrades, called Sahaba, were also rapist. I also show that Muhammad himself gave approvals to the rape actions of the Sahaba as acceptable practice.
The Koran has a lot to say about “hypocrites”. Muhammad and Allah are very troubled by both their existence and their activities. However the Koran is rather less forthcoming about the nature of the hypocrisy itself in many (though not all) cases. Thus, to find out the sort of attitudes and actions that cause the Koran to level the charge of hypocrisy against people we have to turn to other sources. Muslims have faced the similar problems in understanding many of the verses of the Koran. Consequently there are many commentaries (Tafseers) on the Koran which therefore address this and other problems. Muslim Authors (e.g. “H. Yahya”), though drawing on the same sources as I, seem to concentrate on the “characteristics” (all very bad) of the Hypocrites (to help Muslims identify them), rather than on what was the cause or nature of the “hypocrisy” in the first place.
For the Arabs before Muhammad, poetry assumed the front-seat in whatever they faced or suffered in life. Pagan Arabs used poetry in keeping records of their genealogy, their exploits, history of their wars, and their personal history. Poetry was a mirror that reflected their lives with all of its ups and downs. Also the Arabs used poetry to convey their wisdom and knowledge.
They divided their poetry in two styles, ''al manthur" and “al manzum”:
al manthur: poetry that rhymes but has an unstructured style.
al manzom : classical poetry with a rhymed structure. Arabs had great respect for and valued dearly classical poetry. Classical poetry had a great influence on people and their lives.
“al manthur” style of poetry had lesser value in their eyes due to its everyday use. It was more common. Their classical poetry was valued more because it was more structured and not everyone was able to master it.
Pagan Arab tribes used to take pride in talented poets that they produced. Other tribes praised that tribe for having such a talented person in their midst. When a child was born in the tribe, or a stallion was born, its poets acted as an armor for the tribe by keeping its pride and honor in record by composing great poetry. Other tribes would have to think twice before making the tribe of a great poet angry. This is due to their fear that that poet might say and write poetry against, or make fun of, them. This was no ordinary matter. The reputation of a tribe, whose name was muddied due to such poetry, needed years of mending. For the Arabs, rhythmic word was powerful. A great poet had a great status in his own tribe as well as the ones around them.
