Pakistani Christian woman Aasia Bibi was sentenced to death on charges of blasphemy, after her colleagues reported to an imam that she had insulted Prophet Muhammad. The sentence against her raised international outcry. Following the verdict, Pakistan’s Minority Affairs Minister Shahbaz Bhatti, a Christian, and Salmaan Taseer, governor of Punjab, were both killed by Islamic zealots for opposing Pakistan's blasphemy laws.
Despite much sacrifices being made, Aasia Bibi continues to languish in prison. Here's a music video, calling for release and freedom.

Monotheism breeds intolerance to the extreme.This is in consequence of having to venerate a lonely spook which passes many strictures such as "thou shalt not worship any other god , though shalt not make idols of the god, not associate any partner or associate,...etc" . Monotheism is despotic, cruel and barbaric to the core. This lonely spook wants abject surrender and to scrub your nose in humiliation. All for a socalled "heaven" after one's death which is another fraud and an imaginery mirage to fool people and spook them into submission with a caveat "or else it is eternal 'Hell' for you". To be ruled by a coterie of clergy and autocrats/monarchs/tyrants in the most inhuman ways imaginable , while these 'chosen' people of god exploit the masses for their greed and immoral living. That is in essence the madness of monotheism.

Though I wouldn't support hindu bigots I would say there is no equivalent Hindu word for blasphemy. God or whoever he she or it is or is not can be analysed, criticised, praised or cursed in Hinduism. No body would kill the proponent. So first remove blasphemy laws from Christianity. Of course I would say that many Christians are amenable to reforms unlike Muslims. The bible has no blasphemy laws. Jesus taught us that all manner of blasphemies against the Father and Son will be forgiven men (provided they repent before they die, or they will face the judgement of Christ). The only thing that isnt forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

I think you are blind . I just exposed the madness and cruelty of monotheistic cults. The inventions and technology is not "christian" . It does not have any colour of "religion". All inventors and technologists wre either atheist or agnostic. I really can not see why anyone would admire those last two. They were probably the most unpleasant people in the history
of Western Philosophy. And Nietzsche was also one of the most dangerous. He paved the way for Nazi-ideology.

Locke, Hume, Spinoza, Kant as also Des-Cartes were ex-communicated by the Church for their philosophical thought. Why Plato, Socrates could not find place in your Gospel while mythical Abraham and Jewish scriptures became central theme? I agree with your assessment of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche on the whole. But, it is unfair to charge the latter for Nazism. Surgeons and murderers both use knife, but for opposite purposes.
In your Britain as many as 29% of the people refuse to call themselves Christians. In whole Europe number of practicing Christians has come down to 20%. Things would not have come such a pass if Christianity were more accommodating and liberal.

You do not seem to understand that Christianty is a VERY PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.You do not have to grow beard,wear a skull cap or wear ARAB clothes.The PAKIS,INDIAN MUSLIMS wear ARAB clothes to look more Arabs than the TRUE ARABS who despise them and would not like to SPIT on the PAKIS faces even.These statistical figures mean nothing.

I would like to make a few more remarks;
I doubt it if Locke and Kant were ex-communicated. Locke was a born Anglican and Kant a Lutheran and I wonder if those denominations did ex-communications... nor does it seem that there was much reason for such 'punishment'.
Also Descartes was not ex-communicated.
Hume was almost ex-communicated by the Presbyterian church.
Only Spinoza was ex-communicated by his Sefardic Jewish community.
If 70% of al Britts still call themselves Christians then I think that is a surprisingly high number which proves that, regarding yourself as a Christian, has little relation with attending church services.
In a way these are very christian times... one of the key values of Christianity is solidarity and it has chanced the demographics of Europe drastically. Yet I don't think Christianity will decline to the critical point where it might go extinct in Europe. And as long as my freedoms are guaranteed I don't mind being part of a minority group either.
BTW I am Dutch not British... I would hope to make less mistakes if I was.
