Islamic Ulema's struggle against Internet, which critics, especially a handful of ex-Muslims, have been using to open the minds of Muslim youth to the truth of Islam so as to unfurl a silent revolution that would spell death of Islam and Muhammad.
[Extremism is fire, which thrives on the blows of its opponents. And an ideology of hatred always comes to a natural death sooner or later.]
It’s completely ridiculous of a person to think that he stands high in the eyes of a Muslim youth, whereas he/she is just a puppet based on his/her emotional propaganda of religious beliefs. Today’s Muslim youth is not as naive as it was before; media is a medium to develop his/her knowledge, but unfortunately the man himself wasn’t. A big farewell to this Muslim man, who shall soon hide from his own shadows.
Ex-Muslims are taking things to a personal level of educating their fellow ‘believers’ about what Islam truly is. Anyone, who tries to awaken the Muslim youth from the hypnosis that they are in fact parroting verses of the Koran [without ever understanding what it actually says, but rather blindly believing the Ulema who twist and turn the meanings of these verses to suit their whiffed intellectuals], will be ridiculed and a death fatwa will become obligatory. The Ulema these days are doing their desperate best by bringing the confidence and self-beliefs back in the Muslim youth by reminding them of the glorious past of Islam. They march to the streets in large numbers to protest against anything that may make the Muslim youth aware of Islam's truth. The latest being the Facebook and Youtube fiasco!
In social networking sites, one does have the freedom to express his/her mind! With new tools [information] easily available, one can inform others about the naked truths with facts, which may unfurl a silent revolution to change their thoughts. People call it a cult.
I think we need to make a new cult of ‘information war’ to bring down those, who oppose naked truths—a “cult” that always uses lenses, fogged with ‘clear bitter truths’ about this Islamic religious ideology, to view the world as it exists today!
Well, in politics and policies, there is no absolutes: no absolute to freedom, no absolute to death. Until and unless the very mindset of the very people change, and they stop celebrating religious fascism and separatism in the name of religion, caste, ethnicity or whatever, preached and taught by the Islamic Ulema—men like Ali Sina, M. A. Khan, Abul Kasem, Greet Wilders, Dr. Walid Pares, Ibn Warraq, Mohammad Asghar, Syed Kamran Mirza, and Amil Imani et al. will always rise and preach confusion, plant seeds of rebellion, in all sections in the Islamic society via the INTERNET.
Why these few (Islamic Ignorant) men do such a thing? All we can hope is people like them [should and will] keep the bastion of TRUTH about religion and its logic standing and will in essence be the ever-burning fire that helps rejuvenate millions of phoenixes but also burns false prophets! Muhammad will truly be dead the day Muslims take him out of their minds and don’t even remember his name, much less his teachings! Islamic awareness is the first footsteps in that direction!

The furor over blocking numerous websites last week by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority on the instructions of the Lahore High Court refuses to die down and for good reason, too! At least 800 web pages and URLs have so far been blocked for Pakistan’s Internet users in an effort to restrict access to material considered blasphemous. The number may grow. However, apart from the Facebook page that hosted the 'everybody draw Muhammad day', which has now been removed, PTA has given no explanations as to “what exactly this objectionable material is?”
There are a number of points to ponder. First, the LHC order referred to the caricatures’ site. On whose authority has access to other sites been restricted? The PTA may be guilty of overstepping its authority by extending the scope of the court’s order to apply the directives to websites of its own choosing. Second, given the other issues confronting, there is the possibility that ‘blasphemy’ is being used to cover up attempts to suppress criticism on Blogs. Sites such as Facebook and YouTube have become a prominent tool for radical activism and criticism of religion. Third, blocking these sites constitutes outright censorship and a serious transgression of the individual’s right to access information of his/her choice on the Internet.
Islam cannot police the world! By blocking websites achieves nothing but only invites derision from the global community, besides encouraging mischievous elements to undertake similarly offensive exercises in order to provoke a reaction. In shutting off access to these sites is denying people access to information; interestingly, one of the blocked pages is a Wikipedia discussion on the freedom of speech versus blasphemy. Lastly, bans like this simply do not work.
“The only way to comprehensively control access to sections of the Internet is to stop Internet facilities altogether,” told an Ulema on local television. A number of ways to circumvent the blocked material are being communicated to Internet users, who are thus able to access websites of their choice. It must be made to respect the rights to information and restore the blocked websites immediately, leaving Internet users to decide for themselves what is or is not offensive to them?
It is sad to see that the instance of bringing a “radical change of such learning” is treated/thought as only a waste of time of Western conspiracy theories. The Ulema jump the gun and, with their sling-shot, jabs at Internet—a medium, which makes it hard to hold back any knowledge! The biggest problem with the Islamic Ulema is that they want no roles in social uplifts of its people, but rather to keep the Islamic mindset on razors edge. Those, who have done nothing, are the loudest ones!
There will always be Islamic extremists, who will turn violent and shun a measured response to crass exercises such as the drawing event. But the answer should not be resorting to practices that drag the society further back into the dark ages of Islam!

There is a wonderful sci-fiction movie written and directed by Joss Whedon entitled "Serenity". One of the secondary characters is a man who monitors all the information on the "coretex" (a future internet) and re-broadcasts information he finds interesting.
He says to one of the main characters - "You can't stop the signal, Mal". He is referring to the open flow of information on the "cortex".

Information scientists estimate that the world's cumulative knowledge is doubling every seven years. The principle engine for advancing knowledge these days is the Internet, where googols of bits of information are accessible in microseconds. Does any nation that wants to drag itself out of the dark ages dare to shut off this flow of information? They would do only at their ultimate demise.
Regarding Islam, for centuries most Muslims -- unable to read the Quran in their native tongues -- have relied on clerics and imams to explain the texts. Today people can read the Quran and see for themselves that it contains incoherent jibberish in any language. Example: God and His Angels pray for Muhammad (Surah 33:56). Who does God pray to?

people should remember that while the Internet is the best - there is the danger that some Sheikh might just buy out our favorite mediums of communication and then enforce their sharia-style censorship to free speech.
Also we must oppose the government and other powerful organisations who try to gain a monopoly/control of the internet.
I am sure the internet is making a lot of powerful people uncomfortable - they will try to put it under their control under some pretext or the other.

Blocking of web pages for Pakistan, tantamount to closing eyes of already sleeping Pakistanis. It can harm to none but to themselves. This is really condemnable.
The hatchery of blasphemy is Hadis. All the obnoxious material is hadis oriented. Why the Pakistani authorities tolerate hadith?
Islam teaches self restraint. Is it self restraint? It is rather forced control. The bureaucracy and the judiciary are seemingly influenced by self centered professional ulema who don’t command respect of knowledgeable people.

If someone, Allah, your parent, your teacher, a policeman, a court, have to teach you self restraint, it means you don't have any...If it has to be forced control, you are mentally ill, forced restraining of people is what they do in mental institutions...Now we see that Islam does it also...What are we to gather from this? I cannot understand why these fanatics from Pakistan go made over some cartoons of Muhammad in the Internet. There are other countries with more muslims than in Pakistan but the muslims of those countries do not behave like crazy thugs. Muslims make fun of other religions but when people do the same about Islam these muslims get offended. It is time now for muslims to come down to earth and accept that they are not superior. What have muslims contributed to the modern world except intolerance and unrest. Muslim should try to live peacefully with people of other faiths but then of course this cannot be done because the Koran forbids it.

Reed vouches for the authenticity of the Quran against the Hadiths. The Quran was compiled by the immediate follwers of Muhamad after his death taking some lines and expunging the others. And this is supposed to be the word of a 'god' edited by ordinary mortals! Some word of 'god' it is , ptchaw!!! The Hadiths were compiled on pure hearsay two hundred years after the death of Muhamad which certainly raises doubts about its authenticity. You have 33:56. The correct translation of the verse is that Allah and his angels support the apostle, the believers were also required to support him. In earlier verse 33:43 it is stated that Allah and his angels support believers to bring them out of the darkness to light.
Actually there is effort of converting Islam into mohammadanism and the biased worshipers of Muhammad are making confusing translations. The text is available and you can verify yourself.

Most religions do not teach self restraint...What they teach is adherence to certain religious rules and ideas...If religions are supposed to teach self restraint, then they are failing...If teaching self restraint by religion worked, you would never see a fat religious person...But some religions do encourage self restraint mostly those of the Hindu and Buddhist...You hardly ever see a fat Hindu 'holy man'...
As far as discipline is concerned, the only religions that punish and discipline members are those who have a weak message, so enslaving believers, and punishing them for disbelief, makes up for the weakness...Islam fits this model...

In the past there weren't many Muslims in the West and Islamic violence or mischief wasn't noticed much. Each country mostly kept to itself.
But now the world is much more as one. We can travel almost wherever we want and we hear the news from all over the world and can speak English with people with computers all over the world. People can find unending information and opinions on the internet.
And since 9/11 there have been more than 15.000 terroristic attacks by Muslims, the violence and mischief of a part of the Muslims has become well-known. And that is why there is this huge and growing interest in what Islamic teachings really are. And on the side of Pro-Democratic Anti-Islamic movements there are now many very Islam-knowledgeable people, who inform their readers well. At the same time, as you admit, there are countless Muslims-In-Name-Only; MINO's.
We are pro-Democratic and know Islam is at least in part anti-Democratic and only for that most of us have become anti-Islamic. And our laws can change until they become clear, precise, and never contradict each other. But Islam's texts stand immutable, and this makes them obsolete, unclear, incomplete, ambiguous and contradictive. And different groups or even individuals among the Muslims cherrypick only selected parts of Islamic texts and ignore other, sometimes contradicting, parts. So there are now many versions of Islam, it seems.
It is very difficult for a person to say that she/ he knows the only true Islam nowadays.
But it is of vital importance for us to know:
I. Whether Islam or version of it teaches to conquer the world for Islam and by so doing to destroy Democratic laws and systems. And
II. whether Islam is basically against equal autonomic rights for women, which is a very important Democratic law and value. And
III. Whether a big part of those who call themselves Muslim are loyal only to (a version of) Islam and the Ummah.
Because if I and II are affirmative, at least for a big part of Muslims, then if III is also affirmative, that makes a big part of the Muslims accomplices in a cold war against Democratic societies! Big or small, conscious or unconscious.

In the past there weren't many Muslims in the West and Islamic violence or mischief wasn't noticed much. Each country mostly kept to itself.
But now the world is much more as one. We can travel almost wherever we want and we hear the news from all over the world and can speak English with people with computers all over the world. People can find unending information and opinions on the internet.
And since 9/11 there have been more than 15.000 terroristic attacks by Muslims, the violence and mischief of a part of the Muslims has become well-known. And that is why there is this huge and growing interest in what Islamic teachings really are. And on the side of Pro-Democratic Anti-Islamic movements there are now many very Islam-knowledgeable people, who inform their readers well. At the same time, as you admit, there are countless Muslims-In-Name-Only; MINO's.
We are pro-Democratic and know Islam is at least in part anti-Democratic and only for that most of us have become anti-Islamic. And our laws can change until they become clear, precise, and never contradict each other. But Islam's texts stand immutable, and this makes them obsolete, unclear, incomplete, ambiguous and contradictive. And different groups or even individuals among the Muslims cherrypick only selected parts of Islamic texts and ignore other, sometimes contradicting, parts. So there are now many versions of Islam, it seems.
It is very difficult for a person to say that she/ he knows the only true Islam nowadays.
But it is of vital importance for us to know:
I. Whether Islam or version of it teaches to conquer the world for Islam and by so doing to destroy Democratic laws and systems. And
II. whether Islam is basically against equal autonomic rights for women, which is a very important Democratic law and value. And
III. Whether a big part of those who call themselves Muslim are loyal only to (a version of) Islam and the Ummah.
Because if I and II are affirmative, at least for a big part of Muslims, then if III is also affirmative, that makes a big part of the Muslims accomplices in a cold war against Democratic societies! Big or small, conscious or unconscious.

What a bummer that is, I thought I could rely on the Quran...It does say in several places that Allah's messages are 'clear'...but if the message is incomplete, I guess it's not so clear after all...If Allah's messages are unclear, how do we know what to do next? I received an answer from self appointed expert in islam
and it was ..." TEST ."...apparently we are being tested by god and if we fail to pass the test of life with all its problems we end up in hell .

I do not think God is this .....illogical,sadistic ,manipulator, player, power hungry . We are here as
result of evolution and we have to deal with our problems just like all the animals on this earth have to ,to stay alive.
