The Associated Press in reporting that hundreds of French policemen have cornered a terror suspect, a 24-year-old Muslim, in a building in the southwestern city of Toulouse, where the suspect has perpetrated three separate deadly shootings in recent days.

In all the three shootings, the suspect came riding a motorbike, and shoot his targets, before fleeing away on the bike. On March 10, a gunman on a motorbike shot and killed an off-duty paratrooper in Toulouse. On March 15, a motorbike-riding gunman opened fire on three uniformed paratroopers at a bank machine in Montauban, about 50 kilometers from Toulouse, killing two of the troops and critically wounding the other. And on last Monday (March 19), the motorbike assailant opened fire with two handguns in front of a Jewish school in Toulouse, killing a rabbi, his two young sons, and a girl. One witness described the gunman chasing small children "to kill".
The French interior minister Claude Gueant said on Wednesday (21 Mar 2012) that the suspect – a French national and known to have spent time spent time in Afghanistan and Pakistan – is claiming links to al-Qaeda, talking about his Jihadist conviction, and calling himself a "mujahedeen".
He has thrown his handgun out of the window and is negotiating the terms of surrender. He is still carrying an AK47 machine gun and other weapons.
Earlier, there were exchange of fire between police and the suspect, which wounded three policemen. The brother of the suspect has been arrested.
Amidst rising Anti-Semitic violence against Europe’s Jews in recent decades, overwhelmingly perpetrated by Muslim immigrants, French President Nicolas Sarkozy dubbed the attack on the Jewish school "the worst school-shooting in French history", which also attracted strong condemnation from the U.S. and Israel.
France's terror alert level was raised to its highest level ever in the region and a massive manhunt was undertaken after the school-shooting, which lead to the suspect.
The suspect is giving conflicting reasons as his motive.
He is claiming that he wants "to avenge the deaths of Palestinians", which doesn't explain his targeting French troops.
On his targeting of French troops, especially of Muslim and French Caribbean origin, he said the ethnic origin of the troops is not a factor behind his actions. His target is the French army.

How does one hid behind the Quran, first it is a rather small book secondly the act was put forth to make it seem like it is allowed in Islam, it is not. That was my point, that it is not part of Islam in any way. As for if I was personally against the attack, that is a seperate question, of course any rational person would be against such brutal horrific actions. As I said before if the attacker is found sane he should be punished as the law allows. It is curious that the brutal senseless killing of 16 Afghans when quite on this blog. Not sure why since it was a more brutal act and it was 16 people versus 3, I would hope it was not because the victims were Afghan Muslims and not of another religion.

I am sure you would agree it is not just M&P and what you label as 'his company' that post sometimes off beat posts. I would recommend you review the posts by Jye, or Bundy or ....etc.. All have have posted absurd posts having no goal other than to garner a reaction from others. Aside from the occasional admin grab of posts, I think the blog (while I do not agree with most of the content) does a fair job at editorial control. I would suggest a limit to the response of maybe 50-60 lines as some of the longer posts do nothing to add to the discussion.
I have to disa gree with your censrship comments though, if you look at the reg imes who excel at this type of behavior China and Russia have led the way for years. Egypt, Lybia, Syria all in the midst of their tur moil the internet was not censred by blocking. I have a Black and white husky who loves me so much ... she tries to snatch a kiss every time I come close enough ... she is happy to see me each and every time I am with her ...
I was criticized for having a dog when I am supposed to be a Muslima ... My husband band her to the back yard ...so I bought a wooden house for her ...she loves to sleep in it on comfortable billow ... there a sign with her name up on top ... I get her in side all time when he is he not home.
I argued that Quran talked about Dogs sleeping in Caves next to the holly cave people, why we can not let them live with us ... the answer always change the subject because they did not know that fact about the Quran ... ignorance of Quran is no excuse.
Of course.... I know, Quran did not come from any God ... but they believe it as it did .... and I was using their own Quran against them by bringing a fact from their Quran.
