That they have gods for this and that. Of course we all agreed that monotheism is the way to go and so on. In the same way, muslims believe in their sttict monotheism and that this is supeerior to anything else. However, in East Asia people believe in a much different kind. Konfuzianism, Taosim and Buddhism are agnostic about this. They teach that we cannot know this and that we do not need to know this because there are the real things that real matter. We are living on this planet and not in a heaven with 72 virgins which is only a very stupid kind of a world of plenty that nowhere exists. Maybe there is something after death but why do muslims think that they will get anything for free there while others go to hell? How stupid! Taoism means that the way is the goal. To be honest, those who like to live in a world with virgins and anything for free do not understand what life is about. Without work and without any hardship you cannot really enjoy a party. In contrast, muslims believe that they do not really need to work or to struggle. They think it is enough to believe and to pray and then they will get virgins, wine and fruits for free, pillow made of silk and golden bracelets. Well I can tell you that many former Catholics who LEFT the religion or the Church (for whatever reason) STILL believe in a "creator/maker" of the universe. These people have a basic need to have a "faith", some as I see it in a "undefined" greater source of life, others have "faith" in the "various" theories explaining how the Universe came into being. Point is people need a explanation for their questions, of why are we here and the like. Some still hold on to a "religious" POV, while others not. Some change over to a church more of their liking, in the the USA there are more choices then say f.e. in Austria/Germany or Europa generally. So these "former Christians (or as I call them "Agnostic Christians) will still hold on to a basic belief of their deity they grew up with.
