In the last two essays (Part 5K & 5L), we have seen lots of confusions about the date of ‘Lailatul Qadr’ or ‘The Night of Power’. The list of confusions is long and continues in this part.

‘LAILATUL QADAR’ SHOWN TO OUR PROPHET FOR A SECOND TIME & HE FORGETS AGAIN

  1. “…the Prophet came and addressed us and said, I was informed of (the date of the Night of Qadr) but I was caused to forget it; so search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan…” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:233, 235, 252 & 256)
  2. “….The Prophet said, "… I was informed (of the date) of the Night (of Qadr) but I have been caused to forget it. (In the dream) I saw myself prostrating in mud and water in the morning of that night….” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:244)
  3. “…I was informed (of the date) of the Night of Qadr (in my dream) but had forgotten it.…” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:252)

The above hadiths states that ‘Lailatul Qadr’ was shown to our prophet for a second time in his dream, but he forgot it.

What rubbish? First Muhammad forgot the most important night of his life and of his Ummah, on which he even had a horrible experience. Then when he was seeking it, Allah, showing mercy to him, showed it to him for a second time. And he forgot it again. What kind of a useless person did Allah choose as the savior of mankind, as His most beloved?

LAILATUL QADR SHOWN TO PROPHET FOR THE THIRD TIME (?) BUT FIGHTING BETWEEN MUSLIMS SCREWED IT UP

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: The Prophet came out to inform us about the Night of Qadr, but two Muslims were quarreling with each other. So, the Prophet said, "I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr but such and such persons were quarreling, so the news about it had been taken away; yet that might be for your own good, so search for it on the 29th, 27th and 25th (of Ramadan). (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:240)

In the above hadith, it appears that Muhammad was informed about the night of Qadr again (Allah’s mercy toward His most beloved, useless Muhammad, seems to have no bounds). And as usual, Muhammad had to forget it—thanks to fighting between two of his disciples. How else would the prophet have his disciples spend the nights at his mosque day after day seeking the night of Qadr, thus offering protection and security to him?

Dear Muslim Brothers! Please ponder over:

1)      What is the necessity for Allah to inform Muhammad about the inaugural date of his new religion again and again? It was not simply an inaugural day of his religion, but also the horrific night of his life that any sane person will never fail to forget. And after all Muhammad was our ‘prophet’. Of course, Allah would punish us Muslims for raising such intelligence questions as Allah has forbidden Muslims to ask questions.

2)      If Allah wanted to inform Muhammad about the Qadr for the second time, even possibly for a third time, then it must have been for a very important reason. See what happened. Allah failed to accomplish His purpose even after repeated attempts—all thanks to His most beloved’s extreme forgetfulness. But Allah should have known that that’s what will happen. Then, what is the need for our Allah to play this silly ‘hide and seek’ game? It only reveals how greatly did Muhammad turn his followers into utter idiots and fool them as he wished? And we continue that trend.

3)      We Muslims believe that Muhammad was Allah’s prophet and had the knowledge of the past and the future. The above incidents indicate that he is not even a person of nominally sane and sound mind and memory. He must have suffered from severe form of dementia that made him forget the most momentous day of his life.

LOOKS FOR QADR IN ‘MUD AND RAIN’ (WOW, WHAT A DIVINIC SIGN!)

“….the Prophet came and addressed us and said, 'I was informed of (the date of the Night of Qadr) but I was caused to forget it; so search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. (In the dream) I saw myself prostrating in mud and water (as a sign). So, whoever was in I'tikaf with me should return to it with me (for another 10-day's period)', and we returned. At that time there was no sign of clouds in the sky but suddenly a cloud came and it rained till rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque which was made of date-palm leaf stalks. Then the prayer was established and I saw Allah's Apostle prostrating in mud and water and I saw the traces of mud on his forehead." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:233, 235, 244, 252 & 256)

SHOW SOME RESPECT TO YOUR INTELLECT MY MUSLIM BROTHERS: According to the above ‘SIGN’, every Muslim who succeeds in seeking the blessings of Qadr would experience ‘rain and mud’ on his face. I’m asking my intelligent Muslim brothers: We have been seeking the blessings of the night of Qadr every Ramadan. Have you ever experienced this even once in your lifetime? Have you ever heard of any one in your locality who experienced it? Besides the fable of Muhammad alone experiencing it, no other Muslim has succeeded in experiencing the same for the entire history of Islam, despite trying diligently every Ramadan. That means no other Muslim is likely to experience the blessings of the Night of Qadr ever. Then, what is the point of this colossus waste for the Ummah by sitting in Itikaaf every Ramadan to experience the Lailatul Qadr blessings? How long would we intelligent Muslims continue searching the night of Qadr, thus waste our valuable time on a personal security exercise of an illiterate 7th-century thug, who invented and imposed on fellow Muslims 14 centuries ago?

While working in Saudi Arabia, I had to spend my nights in Taraweeh and Qiyaam Al-Lail (a midnight prayer offered during the last 10 days of Ramadan) and sit in the Halaqa after that. This means, I used to spend the last 10 nights of every Ramadan in the mosque which was forced upon me by my boss. I was unable to perform Itikaaf because I had to go for my normal duty during day time, although the whole month of Ramadan is "unofficially" holiday for the Saudis.

On one such night, the 29th of Ramadan, I was unable to stay in the mosque for some domestic reasons. In the next morning, a Saudi Muthwwa, a friend of mine, who was observing his Itikaaf, told me that I was very unfortunate to miss the night of power, as it occurred on the very night I had to skip. Surprised by his statement, because there was no sign of ‘Rain and Mud’ on that night, I asked him about the signs that made him convinced that it was Lailatul Qadr. He answered that the sky was more red during sunrise on that morning than on other days, which was confirmation to him that the past night was the night of Qadr. I had become an atheist by then, and enjoyed the joke within myself. Lunatic Muslims know how to find alternatives, when they can’t meet the idiotic standard that Muhammad had set, which in this case is ‘mud and water’.

‘SMART’ SAHAABA ALSO INVENTED THE DATE OF QADR

Some of the Prophet’s Sahaaba, who knew the whole deception scheme of Muhammad, tried their luck too by inventing divine messages like did their master, and Umar was the number one among them. Muhammad was an evil genius, always watchful toward any likely foul-play against him and diligently suppressed all ‘divine’ forces that occasionally emerged in attempts to topple him. The following hadith was one such attempt by our obedient Sahaaba to elevate them to the level of Muhammad. Our great Sahaaba tried to bluff that they were shown the Night of Qadr in their dreams. But Muhammad knew their actual intentions, but in this case, he insisted on them to follow it, as it only strengthened his security further without affecting his leadership.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Some men amongst the companions of the Prophet were shown in their dreams that the night of Qadr was in the last seven nights of Ramadan. Allah's Apostle said, "It seems that all your dreams agree that (the Night of Qadr) is in the last seven nights, and whoever wants to search for it (i.e. the Night of Qadr) should search in the last seven (nights of Ramadan)." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:232)

SAHAABA BETTER THAN PROPHET TO CONFIRM THE NIGHT OF QADR

The following hadiths give more proof on Lailatul Qadr (MUD & Dirt on Muhammad’s face) that on the 21st of Ramadan Muhammad’s face was covered with mud. What a materialistic proof of the ‘divine’ night, which is superior to 1000 months!

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: “…On the night of the 21st, the sky was covered with clouds and it rained, and the rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque at the praying place of the Prophet. I saw with my own eyes the Prophet at the completion of the morning prayer leaving with his face covered with mud and water.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3:235, 244)

Thank ‘god’. At last, we were informed by our Sahaaba that the exact day of Qadr is on the 21st of Ramadan. Our Sahaaba were better than our prophet in firmly confirming the date of the night of Qadr, which is on 21st of Ramadan, as they surely saw ‘MUD or DIRT’ on Muhammad’s face. Although our most gracious Allah utterly failed to give us a clue about the ‘Night of Qadr’ through His extremely forgetful beloved Prophet, our great Sahaaba gave us definite clue about that glorious night confirming that 21st of Ramadan is the Night of Qadr, the same date mentioned as Qadr in the Prophet’s award-winning biography, “The Sealed Nectar” as discussed in the previous essay. And, in spite of this, our Muslim brothers, mostly belonging to non-Arab countries, observe ‘Lailatul Qadr’ on the 27th of Ramadan.

JIBREEL VISITED MUHAMMAD ON EVERY NIGHT OF RAMADAN BUT NOTHING ABOUT QADR

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Allah's Apostle was the most generous of all the people and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an… (Sahih Al-Bukhari 1:5)

Jibreel and Muhammad were involved in the original Night of Qadr, the night of first revelation, and they used to meet every night of Ramadan to discuss various issues until Muhammad died. During their meet-ups in Ramadan, Muhammad (also all of followers) was desperately seeking to confirm the Night of Qadr year after year. They had meetings no less than 600 times during the month of Ramadan alone. Yet, neither of them ever bothered to discuss about the date of Qadr.

From this single hadith, anybody with minimum common sense can smell the hidden agenda of Muhammad vis-à-vis the matter of Lailatul Qadr. It was purely for his security seeking to protect him from likely attacks, which he was expecting from the victims of his depredations during his self-proclaimed sacred month of Ramadan.

CONCLUSION

Our ‘clever’ Sahaaba and others knew of Muhammad’s deceptions that lied behind the mumbo-jumbo of Lailatul Qadr, but they are too scared to expose the tyrant. This may have been the way it was 14 centuries ago. And it continues to be the way in tyrannical Islamic countries. But for us intelligent, well-educated Muslims of the 21st century, this is too demeaning to continue. Especially, it is a shame for those of us, living in democracies, to follow these craps today. The 7th-century illiterate Muhammad of backward Arabia must be laughing in his grave watching us the 21st-century educated ignorants continue showing utmost reverence toward his foolish ploys.
