The latest violence between Hamas and Israel war was actually a war between Iran and Israel, which the Iranians fought through its nourished and armed proxy, Hamas. Iran is claimed to have greatly expanded its nuclear centrifuges, and will have enough fissile material (20% enrichment) for a nuclear weapon within 5 to 7 months.

The latest International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report suggested new reasons to fear that Iran is closer to a “breakout” capability than ever before, citing a nearly 50% increase in its stockpile of 20% enriched uranium, and the installation of hundreds of additional centrifuges at the Fordow enrichment installation.

Based on those figures, Reuters suggested that Iran might already be two-thirds of the way to the level of 200-250 kg of 20% enriched uranium, which, experts say, could be needed to build a bomb. The Guardian’s Julian Borger wrote that Iran was enriching uranium at a pace that would reach the Israeli “red line” in just seven months.

What many people do not understand is that it only takes 3 weeks to bring 20% enriched uranium to 90% enrichment required for a missile nuclear war head.

Iran is no feeble power like others in the region, Iraq under Saddam, Libya under Gaddafi or Syria under Asad. Iran is a formidable deadly foe capable of worldwide jihad campaign. According to wikipedia, the Iranian military, one of the biggest in the world, has the following break-ups of its armed forces:

Active Military 523,000

Reserve Military 1,800,000

Paramilitary 1,510,000

Total 3,833,000

And it has the military ability to attack the Saudi oil industry and block the Strait of Hormuz. As Hamas launched Iranian-supplied missiles reached much deeper into Israel in the latest violence, Iran’s proxy Hezbollah and Hamas rockets can rain down on Israel over whelming the Iron Dome missile defense system, thereby hitting all major cities, causing death and destruction and effectively destroying the Israeli economy.

Amidst this scenario, if Iran attains nuclear bombs, an Armageddon in the Middle East will be imminent, as Iran has been relentless in its determination to annihilation the Jewish state. An Israeli strike to destroy Iran’s nuclear facility will neither be effective, nor be supported by even Israel’s closest ally under Obama, let alone the international community. As a result, Israel is in a more precarious situation than ever before, especially when more moderate governments in the Arab world are being replaced by fundamentalist and more anti-Israel ones.

At this critical juncture, one can only hope, however unlikely, that the Palestinian side, particularly Hamas, agrees to two-state solution, probably along the proposals of the Arafat-Ehud Barak negotiations (2000), which Arafat had rebuffed. Alternatively, crucial to Israel’s continued existence is the development of alternative weapons that can effectively destroy Iran’s military hardware operation system, without causing damage to life and destruction of property.
