Atrocities and excesses by Muslim rulers in India gave rise to the Bhakti movement. Among all the Hindu cults that sprang up from the Bhakti movement, Sikhism earned displeasure and enmity of the Muslim rulers, including the Mughal Emperors, as it contained an element of militancy to save the Hindus from Muslim atrocities and also taking revenge for the same.

Nihad Awad, executive director and founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, declared that the Nairobi Mall Massacre was "An attack on my religion". He also compared the al-Shabaab Muslim Jihadis with Islamophobes by saying:

The idea of a legal ban of the Quran, because of its incitement of hatred, violence and terrorism, may sound incredible today. But trends in recent decades would suggest that it may become a reality in the not-too-distant future.
Calcutta Quran Petition, 1985
It may be said that the modern campaign for a legal ban of the Quran started with a petition filed on 29 March, 1985 in the Calcutta High Court in West Bengal, India, asking the Government to confiscate the Quran—whether in Arabic or any other language. The petition—moved by Chandmal Chopra, advocate of Calcutta High Court, Hamangshu Kumar Chakraborthy and Sital Singh under Article 226 of the Constitution of India—asked the court to direct the State of West Bengal to declare the Quran as forfeited to the government on grounds such as below:

You are a good moderate Muslim living in the land of the kafirs. One day you entered a busy shopping mall. As you are browsing around, suddenly the air is filled with thunderous explosions followed by booms of gunshots. For a moment you don't know what to make of all this. You would perhaps think it is some kind of sinful kafir celebration, or maybe the mall is celebrating its 20th year of operation.
Suddenly the sound of gunshots comes closer and you see hundreds of kafirs are scurrying for cover like the cockroaches – yelling and screaming in fear and terror. You see some of the kafirs get hit by bullets and fall on the floor with blood pouring out of their wounds. For some, heads are blown off, stomachs are torn open.
You wonder maybe a gun-trotting crazy kafir gone berserk again and you start running, risking yourself of being shot by the murderer on rampage.
Then suddenly you hear the screams of “Allahu Akbar” as the murderers unleash their bullets.
Just stop.

The first part of this article—in reference to Major Nidal Hasan’s claim that he grew beard because his Muslim faith required him to do so, not to show disrespect to US Army regulations—listed a number of impractical hadiths, which ‘clever’ Muslims today conveniently ignore or refuse to practice, because of the little bit of commonsense left in them. There are hundreds of such idiotic hadiths scattered in the Islamic sources, which we cannot discuss in detail in a short article like this.
