In islamic law the cards are always stacked against women and non-muslims. I have studied islam and islamic law for years and this is the only conclusion that I can come to based on the religious books (including the koran) of this religion. The religion itself creates a culture of negativity toward women. This negativity perpetuates itself and becomes locked into the culture. All this is due to the basic tenants of islam with regard to women and Muhammad's behavior toward them, particularly toward young girls (Aisha was only 9 when he forced her to have sex) and slave girls (who he himself had enslaved and forced sexual intercourse upon). It is no surprise then that in islam the victim of rape becomes the criminal when she cannot produce 4 male witnesses (a dictate put forth in the koran itself). As a side note, consider the fact that the koran requires 4 male witnesses to convict a man of rape. It does not mention any other method of convicting of rape. If it had said "bring sufficient evidence" we might conclude that DNA evidence would constitute sufficient evidence. But the koran does not say anything that can be construed to allow any other type of evidence for the conviction of rape, only the testimony of four non-muslim males. Thus, DNA evidence, the most powerful method to convict somebody of rape, is totally outside the scope of the koran since it specifically requires the testimony of 4 male witnesses to the exclusion of all else. This then creates a contradiction within the koran because it claims to be a guide for all mankind for all time. Yet, it language and its mandates do not take into account the rise of technology and the arrival of better forms of legal evidence (such would be the case if its mandates with regard to rape evidence were more ambiguous). Since the koran is not flexible enough to allow these new and better forms of evidence it cannot be said to be a legal guide for mankind in this age with the present level of technology and criminal investigation methods (fingerprinting, blood type, timeline analysis, psychological profile, ballistic analysis, phone records, etc.). It is clear that the koranic rules came from a largely undeveloped and ignorant arabic tribal culture. It is claimed by the muslims that Muhammad was illiterate. Based on my studies of the koran, hadith, and islamic law I concur with this. Only an illiterate ignoramus such as Muhammad could have created a book which would cause such excessive damage to the fundamental rights of human beings. The koran is not a revelation, it is a bane and poison unleashed on mankind by the non-prophet Muhammad.

I agree that Muhammad was illiterate or almost illiterate. All the errors in the quran clearly refer to somebody with no or only little education. The style is swanky, but not great. Sometimes it seems that the author of the quran does not understand what he is talking about. Sometimes the quran introduces things unknown to the reader without explaining it. The redaction, if there was any, was sloppy, that´s why we also find many mistakes concerning logic and grammar. In short, the quran is the worst book I ever read.

There is a dialog in one of the hindi movies called Guru when the hero of the movie says "Jab log tumahare khilaf bolne lage samjho ke tum tarakki kar rahe ho" meaning when people start bad-mouthing you, it means you are on the path of progress.Same thing is happening the whole world with all kind of propaganda is not able to stop the forward march of Islam, so what they can do is be jealous and write things for whcih they have no idea so that they get some kind of solace that if not in reality but in thoughts atleast they are able to stop Islam from spreading.This is what the writer of the article is trying to do.
