Islamofascism? Hitler, Muhammad, and Islam; Part 1
05 Feb, 2008
From Family Security Matters on 04 Feb 2008:
Cliff May deserves credit for his
recent National Review Online column “The
New True Believers.” May dares to associate – however
indirectly, and in the end,  I am afraid, inadequately – those he
terms, using layers of prophylactic rhetorical separation from
orthodox Islam, either “militant jihadists,” or “Islamists,” and
their movement as “militant Islamism,” – with Hitler, and his
            “movement,” i.e., Nazism.

            May’s inchoate effort should be
applauded for its attempted illustration of any possible
ideological nexus between Hitler’s Nazism and Islam. But ultimately,
the associations he makes – the “ability to nurse grievances and
stoke ambitions,” Germans/Aryans as a master race, and the
concordant supremacism of  “militant Islamism,” and, invoking Eric
            Hoffer’s “The
True Believer,” generic “fanaticism” – ignore much more
intimate, if uncomfortable to acknowledge, doctrinal and historical
connections between ancient Islam and modern Nazism, upon which I
            will elaborate.

Diana West has summarized how the
prevailing usage of the term “Islamofascism” obfuscates critically
            relevant truths:

            “Islamofascism” is a made-up word
that draws a politically correct curtain over mainstream,
traditional Islam, in effect shielding the religion and its tenets
from scrutiny when considering what drives our jihadist enemies – as
they are the first to declare.

            My discussion introduces a
doctrinally and historically relevant context if
the currently much abused term “Islamofascism” is to be
understood and employed appropriately, acknowledging the direct
nexus between Islam, pre-modern despotism, and modern totalitarian
            ideologies.

            Islam, Nazism, and Totalitarianism

            During an interview conducted in
the late 1930s (published in 1939), Carl Jung, the Swiss
psychiatrist and founder of analytical psychiatry, was asked “…had
he any views on what was likely to be the next step in religious
development?” Jung replied, in reference to the Nazi fervor that had
            gripped

We do not know whether Hitler is
going to found a new Islam. He is already on the way; he is like
            Muhammad. The emotion in

            Albert Speer, who was Hitler’s
Minister of Armaments and War Production, wrote a contrite memoir of
his World War II experiences while serving a 20-year prison sentence
            imposed by the

Hitler had been much impressed by a
scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of distinguished
Arabs. When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond

            A similar ambivalence characterized
Nazi Germany’s support for Arab Muslim causes in the World War II
era. For example, in December 1937, Hitler even proposed omitting
his “racial ladder” theory – which denigrated the Arabs – from a
forthcoming Arabic translation of Mein Kampf. And a Berlin
Foreign Ministry spokesman, during a November, 1942 press conference
reported in the New York Times, took “great pains” to
assure Arabs that Nazi anti-Semitic policies were directed at Jews
            exclusively. The spokesman elaborated:

            The difference between

            Although now, inexplicably, almost
ignored in their entirety, writings produced for 100 years between
the mid-19th through mid-20th Centuries, by important scholars and
intellectuals, in addition to Carl Jung – for example, the
historians Jacob Burckhardt, Waldemar Gurian, and Stoyan
Pribichevich, philosopher Bertrand Russell, Protestant theologian
Karl Barth, sociologist Jules Monnerot, and most notably, the
renowned 20th Century scholar of Islamic Law, G.H.
Bousquet – referred to Islam as a despotic, or in 20th Century
            parlance, totalitarian ideology.

            Being imbued with fanaticism was
the ultimate source of Muhammad’s great strength, and led to his
triumph as a despot, according to the 19th Century Swiss historian
            Burckhardt:

            Muhammad is personally very
fanatical; that is his basic strength. His fanaticism is that of a
radical simplifier and to that extent is quite genuine. It is of the
toughest variety, namely doctrinaire passion, and his victory is one
of the greatest victories of fanaticism and triviality. All
idolatry, everything mythical, everything free in religion, all the
multifarious ramifications of the hitherto existing faith, transport
him into a real rage, and he hits upon a moment when large strata of
his nation were highly receptive to an extreme simplification of the
            religious.

            Burckhardt emphasizes that the
Arabs, Muhammad’s henchmen, were not barbarians and had their own
ingenuities, and spiritual traditions. Muhammad’s successful
preaching among them capitalized upon an apparent longing for
supra-tribal unification, “an extreme simplification.” Muhammad’s
genius “lies in divining this.” Utilizing portions of the most
varied existing traditions and taking advantage of the fact that
“the peoples who were now attacked may also have been somewhat tired
of their existing theology and mythology,” Muhammad

…with the aid of at least ten
people, looks over the faiths of the Jews, Christians, and Parsis
[Zoroastrians], and steals from them any scraps that he can use,
shaping these elements according to his imagination. Thus everyone
found in Muhammad’s sermons some echo of his accustomed faith. The
very extraordinary thing is that with all this Muhammad achieved not
merely lifetime success, the homage of

            Burckhardt concludes that despite
this achievement, Muhammad was not a great man, although he accepts
            the understandable inclination,

…to deduce great causes from great
effects, thus, from Muhammad’s achievement, greatness of the
originator. At the very least, one wants to concede in Muhammad’s
case that he was no fraud, was serious about things, etc. However,
it is possible to be in error sometime with this deduction regarding
greatness and to mistake mere might for greatness. In this instance
it is rather the low qualities of human nature that have received a
powerful presentation. Islam is a triumph of triviality, and the
great majority of mankind is trivial…But triviality likes to be
tyrannical and is fond of imposing its yoke upon nobler spirits.
Islam wanted to deprive distinguished old nations of their myths,
the Persians of their Book of Kings, and for 1200 years it has
actually prohibited sculpture and painting to tremendously large
            populations.

            University of Notre Dame historian
Waldemar Gurian, a refugee, who witnessed first hand the Communist
and Fascist totalitarian movements in Europe, concluded (circa 1945)
that Hitler, in a manner analogous to the 7th Century precedent of
Muhammad as described by Burckhardt, had been the simplifier of
            German nationalism.

            A fanatical simplifier who appeared
as the unifier of various German traditions in the service of simple
national aims and who was seen by many differing German group – even
by some people outside Germany – as the fulfiller of their wishes
and sharer of their beliefs, with some distortions and exaggerations
            – such, as long as he had success, was Adolf Hitler.

            Based upon the same clear
understandings (and devoid of our era’s dulling, politically
correct constraints), Karl Barth, like Carl Jung (cited
earlier), offered this warning, also published in 1939:

            Participation in this life,
according to it the only worthy and blessed life, is what National
Socialism, as a political experiment, promises to those who will of
their own accord share in this experiment. And now it becomes
understandable why, at the point where it meets with resistance, it
can only crush and kill – with the might and right which belongs to
Divinity! Islam of old as we know proceeded in this way. It is
            impossible to understand
National Socialism unless we see it
in fact as a new Islam [emphasis in original], its myth as a new
Allah, and Hitler as this new Allah’s Prophet.

            Both philosopher Bertrand Russell,
in 1920, and sociologist Jules Monnerot three decades later (in
1953), viewed the 20th Century’s other major strain of
totalitarianism, emergent Bolshevism and established Soviet-style
Communism, as in Monnerot’s  words, “The Twentieth-Century Islam.”
Russell wrote presciently in his 1920, Theory and Practice of
            Bolshevism, that,

            Among religions, Bolshevism is to
be reckoned with Mohammedanism rather than with Christianity and
Buddhism. Christianity and Buddhism are primarily personal
religions, with mystical doctrines and a love of contemplation.
Mohammedanism and Bolshevism are practical, social, unspiritual,
concerned to win the empire of this world.

            By 1953, Monnerot (in his
Sociology and Psychology of Communism) saw the “absolute
tyranny” of Soviet Communism as “comparable to Islam,” for being
both “a secular religion [emphasis in
original] and as a universal State
[emphasis in original].” He elaborated, in particular, on this
concordance between the triumphal emergence of the Islamic and
            Soviet empires, as follows:

            This merging of religion and
politics was a major characteristic of the Islamic world in its
victorious period. It allowed the head of State to operate beyond
            his own frontiers in the capacity of commander of the faithful (Amir-al-muminin);
and in this way a Caliph was able to count upon his docile
instruments, or captive souls, wherever there were men who
recognized his authority. The territorial frontiers which seemed to
remove some of his subjects from his jurisdiction were nothing more
than material obstacles; armed force might compel him to feign
respect for the frontier, but propaganda and subterranenan warfare
could continue no less actively beyond it.

            Religions of this kind acknowledge
            no frontiers. Soviet

- In a brilliant, dispassionate contemporary analysis, Ibn Warraq describes 14 characteristics of “Ur Fascism” as enumerated by Umberto Eco, analyzing their potential relationship to the major determinants of Islamic governance and aspirations, through the present. He adduces salient examples which reflect the key attributes discussed by Eco: the unique institution of Jihad war; the establishment of a Caliphate under “Allah’s vicegerent on earth,” the Caliph – ruled by Islamic Law, i.e., Sharia, a rigid system of subservience and sacralized discrimination against non-Muslims and Muslim women, devoid of basic freedoms of conscience, and expression. Warraq’s assessment confirms what G.H. Bousquet concluded (in 1950) from his career studying the historical development and implementation of Islamic Law:
-
              Islam first came before the
world as a doubly totalitarian system. It claimed to impose itself
on the whole world and it claimed also, by the divinely appointed
Muhammadan law, by the principles of fiqh [jurisprudence], to
regulate down to the smallest details the whole life of the
Islamic community and of every individual believer… the study of
Muhammadan Law (dry and forbidding though it may appear)… is of
great importance to the world of today.
            But already in the mid-19th
Century, Burckhardt, expanding upon his characterization of Islam’s
founder, Muhammad, as a despot, described the theocratic polity he
created as a particularly extreme religious despotism, created (and
            expanded)

            via jihad, which sought to
invalidate the pre-Islamic past of its new votaries, by shaming that
            heritage.

            All religions are exclusive, but
Islam is quite notably so, and immediately it developed into a state
which seemed to be all of a piece with the religion. The Koran is
its spiritual and secular book of law. Its statutes embrace all
areas of life...and remain set and rigid; the very narrow Arab mind
imposes this nature on many nationalities and thus remolds them for
all time (a profound, extensive spiritual bondage!) This is the
power of Islam in itself. At the same time, the form of the world
empire as well as of the states gradually detaching themselves from
it cannot be anything but a despotic monarchy. The very reason and
excuse for existence, the holy war, and the possible world conquest,
do not brook any other form.

            The strongest proof of real,
extremely despotic power in Islam is the fact that it has been able
to invalidate, in such large measure, the entire history (customs,
religion, previous way of looking at things, earlier imagination) of
            the peoples converted to it.
It accomplished this only by instilling into them a new religious
arrogance which was stronger than everything and induced them to be
ashamed [emphasis in original] of their past.

            Historian Stoyan Pribichevich’s
1938 study of the Balkans “World
Without End” demonstrates how Burckhardt’s conception of
Islamic despotism applied to Ottoman rule. Pribichevich  provides
these illustrations, beginning with his characterization of the
            Ottoman Sultans:

Each was a blood descendant of

Osman [d. 1326, founder of the
Ottoman dynasty]; the commander of all armed forces; the Caliph, the
religious chief of all Moslems; the Padishah or King of Kings with
the power of life and death over even his own cabinet ministers; the
indisputable executor of the Prophet’s will – the Shadow of God on
            Earth

Although the Sultan had a Council
composed of ranking dignitaries, headed by an erstwhile “Prime
Minister,” the Grand Vizier who advised him, Pribichevich notes:

            But like the Janissaries [military
slaves taken from the families of the subjugated Christian
populations while adolescents, and forcibly converted to Islam, as
part of the Ottoman devshirme levy system] they were Kuls, slaves
whose lives and properties belonged to the master. Cases occurred
where a Grand Vizier was put to death at a mere whim of the Sultan.

            Thus Pribichevich concludes,
regarding the Ottoman Sultanate, “Of all known dictators the Sultans
            were the most dictatorial.”

And Pribichevich goes on to explain
how this dictatorial Ottoman Sultanate operated within the overall
context of Islam’s religio-political totalitarian system, consistent
with Bousquet’s observation (from 1950), based upon the latter’s
            analysis of Islamic Law:

            Then, Islam was a totalitarian
            religion.
The Koran regulated not only the relationship of man to God, but all
aspects of political organization, economics, and private conduct.
Although the Sultan was the sole legislator, his laws, the sheri [Shari’a],
were expected to conform to the sacred text. Now, for the proper
interpretation of the Prophet’s phrases, there was a body of learned
priests and jurists, the Ulemas. While no born Moslem could become a
member of the Janissaries, no ex-Christian was ever allowed to enter
the sacred corporation of the Ulemas. These theologians were not the
slaves of the Sultan, but their opinions nevertheless were only
advisory. So, the whole exotic structure of the Ottoman state can be
summed up this way: the Koran was the empire’s Constitution; the
Sultan, its absolute executor; the Janissaries, the soldiers and
administrators; and the thinking Ulemas, a sort of Supreme Court.

            Finally, investigative journalist
John Roy Carlson’s 1948-1950 interviews of Arab Muslim religious and
political leaders provide consummate independent validation of these
Western assessments. Perhaps most revealing were the candid
observations of Aboul Saud, whom Carlson described as a “pleasant
English-speaking member of the Arab League Office.” Aboul Saud
explained to Carlson that Islam was an authoritarian religio-political

            You might describe Mohammedanism as
a religious form of State Socialism…The Koran give the State the

right to nationalize industry, distribute land, or expropriate
property. It grants the ruler of the State unlimited powers, so long
as he does not go against the Koran. The Koran is our personal as
            well as our political constitution.

            And after interviewing Muslim
Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna himself, who “preached the
doctrine of the Koran in one hand and the sword in the other,”
            Carlson observed:

It became clear to me why the
average Egyptian worshipped the use of force. Terror was synonymous
with power! This was one reason why most Egyptians, regardless of
class or calling had admired Nazi

Twentieth century fascist regimes rarely lasted more than a generation: forty
years, at most, in the case of Franco's Spain. Once Mohammedanism gets its
talons into a society, getting rid of it can take centuries and in many cases it
has never had the good grace to go away, it has become obvious to all what a
recipe for intellectual, economic, social, spiritual and political failure it
is.

Hitler Was a Christian The Holocaust was caused by Christian fundamentalism:
History is currently being distorted by the millions of Christians who lie to
have us believe that the Holocaust was not a Christian deed. Through subterfuge
and concealment, many of today’s Church leaders and faithful Christians have
camouflaged the Christianity of Adolf Hitler and have attempted to mark him an
atheist, a pagan cult worshipper, or a false Christian in order to place his
misdeeds on those with out Jesus. However, from the earliest formation of the
Nazi party and throughout the period of conquest and growth, Hitler expressed
his Christian support to the German citizenry and soldiers. Those who would make
Hitler an atheist should turn their eyes to history books before they address
their pews and chat rooms. Considering that Christianity has thus far been
incapable of producing an unbiased, educated follower which speaks the truth, (I
haven’t encountered any), I have been forced to dispel the myth by writing this
essay. It is not until I bring up his speeches, my personal info on the Nazi
regime and their tactics that a Christian will begin to question what their
clergy told them. (I am the offspring of a German soldier. My Opa served under
Hitler in WW2 and my father was raised during the time of the Nazi regime. This
is important information to take into consideration for I am privy to some info
that most Americans do not know. It is common for American media and education
institutions to lie to their citizens concerning Nazi Germany.) So, in
presenting this information I must break it into four parts: 1) Facts about
Hitler and his involvement with the Church. 2) How the Church was the catalyst
for anti- Semitism. 3) Facts concerning how the Nazi regime drilled these
beliefs into Germanic society. 4) Quotes Hitler made which prove he had a
disdain for atheism/occultism, upheld his Christian faith, and hated Jews due to
his Christianity. Hitler’s involvement with the Church: a) Hitler was baptized
as Roman Catholic during infancy in Austria. b) As Hitler approached boyhood he
attended a monastery school. (On his way to school young Adolf daily observed a
stone arch which was carved with the monastery’s coat of arms bearing a
swastika.) c) Hitler was a communicant and an altar boy in the Catholic Church.
d) As a young man he was confirmed as a “soldier of Christ.” His most ardent
goal at the time was to become a priest. Hitler writes of his love for the
church and clergy: “I had excellent opportunity to intoxicate myself with the
solemn splendor of the brilliant church festivals. As was only natural, the
abbot seemed to me, as the village priest had once seemed to my father, the
highest and most desirable ideal.” -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf) e) Hitler was
NEVER excommunicated nor condemned by his church. Matter of fact the Church felt
he was JUST and “avenging for God” in attacking the Jews for they deemed the
Semites the killers of Jesus. f) Hitler, Franco and Mussolini were given VETO
power over whom the pope could appoint as a bishop in Germany, Spain and Italy.
In turn they surtaxed the Catholics and gave the money to the Vatican. Hitler
wrote a speech in which he talks about this alliance, this is an excerpt: “The
fact that the Vatican is concluding a treaty with the new Germany means the
acknowledgement of the National Socialist state by the Catholic Church. This
treaty shows the whole world clearly and unequivocally that the assertion that
National Socialism [Nazism] is hostile to religion is a lie.” Adolf Hitler, 22
July 1933, writing to the Nazi Party Hitler and the Popeg) Hitler worked CLOSELY
with Pope Pius in converting Germanic society and supporting the church. The
Church absorbed Nazi ideals and preached them as part of their sermons in turn
Hitler placed Catholic teachings in public education. This photo depicts Hitler
with Archbishop Cesare Orsenigo, the papal nuncio in Berlin. It was taken On
April 20, 1939, when Orsenigo celebrated Hitler’s birthday. The celebrations
were initiated by Pacelli (Pope Pius XII) and became a tradition. Each April 20,
Cardinal Bertram of Berlin was to send “warmest congratulations to the Fuhrer in
the name of the bishops and the dioceses in Germany with “fervent prayers which
the Catholics of Germany are sending to heaven on their altars.” (If you would
like to know more about the secret dealings of Hitler and the Pope I recommend
you get a book titled: Hitler’s Pope: The Secret History of Pius XII, by John
Cornwell) h) Due to Hitler’s involvement with the Church he began enacting
doctrines of the Church as law. He outlawed all abortion, raged a death war on
all homosexuals, and demanded corporal punishment in schools and home. Many
times Hitler addressed the church and promised that Germany would implement its
teachings: “The National Socialist State professes its allegiance to positive
Christianity. It will be its honest endeavor to protect both the great Christian
Confessions in their rights, to secure them from interference with their
doctrines (Lehren), and in their duties to constitute a harmony with the views
and the exigencies of the State of today.” –Adolf Hitler, on 26 June 1934, to
Catholic bishops to assure them that he would take action against the new pagan
propaganda “Providence has caused me to be Catholic, and I know therefore how to
handle this Church.” -Adolf Hitler, reportedly to have said in Berlin in 1936 on
the enmity of the Catholic Church to National Socialism How Christianity was the
catalyst of the Holocaust: Hitler’s anti-Semitism grew out of his Christian
education. Austria and Germany were majorly Christian during his time and they
held the belief that Jews were an inferior status to Aryan Christians. The
Christians blamed the Jews for the killing of Jesus. Jewish hatred did not
actually spring from Hitler, it came from the preaching of Catholic priests and
Protestant ministers throughout Germany for hundreds of years. The Protestant
leader, Martin Luther, himself, held a livid hatred for Jews and their Jewish
religion. In his book, “On the Jews and their Lies,” Luther set the standard for
Jewish hatred in Protestant Germany up until World War 2. Hitler expressed a
great admiration for Martin Luther constantly quoting his works and beliefs.
Now, you must remember before Hitler rose to Chancellor of Germany the country
was in a deep economic depression due to the Versailles treaty. The Versailles
treaty demanded that Germans made financial reparations for the previous war and
Germany simply was not self sufficient enough in order to pay the debt. Hitler
was the leader that raised Germany out of the depression and brought them back
to a world recognized power. Due to his annulment of the financial woes of the
Germanic people he became their redeemer and they anointed him as the leader of
the German Reich Christian Church in 1933. This placed him in power of the
German Christian Socialist movement which legislates their political and
religious agendas. It united all denominations, mainly the Protestant/Catholic
and Lutheran people to instill faith in a national Christianity. How the Nazi
Regime converted the people: a) In the 1920s, Hitler’s German Workers’ Party
(pre Nazi term) adopted a “Programme” with twenty-five points (the Nazi version
of a constitution). In point twenty-four, their intent clearly demonstrates,
from the very beginning, their stand in favor of a “positive” Christianity: “We
demand liberty for all religious denominations in the State, so far as they are
not a danger to it and do not militate against the morality and moral sense of
the German race. The Party, as such, stands for positive Christianity, but does
not bind itself in the matter of creed to any particular confession...” b) The
Nazi regime started a youth movement which preached its agenda to impressionable
children. Hitler backed up the notion that all people need faith and religious
education: “By helping to raise man above the level of bestial vegetation, faith
contributes in reality to the securing and safeguarding of his existence. Take
away from present-day mankind its education-based, religious- dogmatic
principles-- or, practically speaking, ethical-moral principles-- by abolishing
this religious education, but without replacing it by an equivalent, and the
result will be a grave shock to the foundations of their existence.” – Adolf
Hitler (Mein Kampf) c) The Nazi regime began to control schools insisting that
Christianity was taught. d) The Nazi regime included anti-Semitic Christian
writings in textbooks and they were not removed from Christian doctrines until
1961. e) The Nazi regime having full blown power over the people began to
forcibly convert all its military. Nazi Belt Bucklef) The Nazi regime forced the
German soldiers to wear religious symbols such as the swastika and they placed
religious sayings on military gear. An example here is this German army belt
buckle (I believe my Opa had one) which reads “Gott Mit Uns”. For those of you
who do not speak German it is translated as “God With Us”. g) The German troops
were often forced to get sprinkled with holy water and listen to a sermon by a
Catholic priest before going out on a maneuver. h) The Nazis created a secret
service called the “SS Reich” that would act as spies on the dealings of other
citizens. If anyone was suspected of heresy (Going not only against the
Socialist party but CHURCH DOCTRINE) they would be prosecuted. Quotes from
Hitler: Hitler’s speeches and proclamations, even more clearly, reveal his faith
and feelings toward a Christianized Germany. Nazism presents an embarrassment to
Christianity and demonstrates the danger of their faith So they try to pin him
on other theistic views. The following words from Hitler show his disdain for
atheism, and pagan cults, and reveal the strength of his Christian feelings:
“National Socialism is not a cult-movement-- a movement for worship; it is
exclusively a ‘volkic’ political doctrine based upon racial principles. In its
purpose there is no mystic cult, only the care and leadership of a people
defined by a common blood-relationship... We will not allow mystically- minded
occult folk with a passion for exploring the secrets of the world beyond to
steal into our Movement. Such folk are not National Socialists, but something
else-- in any case something which has nothing to do with us. At the head of our
programme there stand no secret surmisings but clear-cut perception and
straightforward profession of belief. But since we set as the central point of
this perception and of this profession of belief the maintenance and hence the
security for the future of a being formed by God, we thus serve the maintenance
of a divine work and fulfill a divine will-- not in the secret twilight of a new
house of worship, but openly before the face of the Lord… Our worship is
exclusively the cultivation of the natural, and for that reason, because
natural, therefore God-willed. Our humility is the unconditional submission
before the divine laws of existence so far as they are known to us men.” -Adolf
Hitler, in Nuremberg on 6 Sept.1938. [Christians have always accused Hitler of
believing in pagan cult mythology. What is written here clearly expresses his
stand against cults.] “We were convinced that the people needs and requires this
faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement,
and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it
out.” -Adolf Hitler, in a speech in Berlin on 24 Oct. 1933 [This statement
clearly refutes modern Christians who claim Hitler as favoring atheism. Hitler
wanted to form a society in which ALL people worshipped Jesus and considered any
questioning of such to be heresy. The Holocaust was like a modern inquisition,
killing all who did not accept Jesus. Though more Jews were killed then any
other it should be noted that MANY ARYAN pagans and atheists were murdered for
their non-belief in Christ.] Here Hitler uses the Bible and his Christianity in
order to attack the Jews and uphold his anti-Semitism: "My feelings as a
Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man
who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for
what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was
greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian
and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose
in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of
vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish
poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more
profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed
His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow my self to be
cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice… And if there
is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the
distress that daily grows . For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own
people." –Adolf Hitler, in a speech on 12 April 1922 (Norman H. Baynes, ed. The
Speeches of Adolf Hitler, April 1922-August 1939, Vol. 1 of 2, pp. 19-20, Oxford
University Press, 1942) "Christianity could not content itself with building up
its own altar; it was absolutely forced to undertake the destruction of the
heathen altars. Only from this fanatical intolerance could its apodictic faith
take form; this intolerance is, in fact, its absolute presupposition." -Adolf
Hitler Mein Kampf (It is quite obvious here that Hitler is referring to
destructing the Judaism alters on which Christianity was founded.) "The
personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumes the living shape
of the Jew." -Adolf Hitler Mein Kampf (The idea of the devil and the Jew came
out of medieval anti-Jewish beliefs based on interpretations from the Bible.
Martin Luther, and teachers after him, continued this “tradition” up until the
20th century.) "With satanic joy in his face, the black-haired Jewish youth
lurks in wait for the unsuspecting girl whom he defiles with his blood, thus
stealing her from her people." -Adolf Hitler Mein Kampf (It is common in war for
one race to rape another so that they can “defile” the race and assimilate their
own. Hitler speaks about this very tactic here.) “The best characterization is
provided by the product of this religious education, the Jew himself. His life
is only of this world, and his spirit is inwardly as alien to true Christianity
as his nature two thousand years previous was to the great founder of the new
doctrine. Of course, the latter made no secret of his attitude toward the Jewish
people, and when necessary he even took the whip to drive from the temple of the
Lord this adversary of all humanity, who then as always saw in religion nothing
but an instrument for his business existence. In return, Christ was nailed to
the cross, while our present- day party Christians debase themselves to begging
for Jewish votes at elections and later try to arrange political swindles with
atheistic Jewish parties-- and this against their own nation.”–Adolf Hitler (Mein
Kampf) "…the fall of man in paradise has always been followed by his expulsion."
-Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf (See Genesis Chapter 3 where humankind is cast from
Eden for their sins. Hitler compares this to the need to exterminate the Jews
for their sin against Christ.) “Hence today I believe that I am acting in
accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against
the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” –Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)
“The anti-Semitism of the new movement [Christian Social movement] was based on
religious ideas instead of racial knowledge.” –Adolf Hitler Mein Kampf (This
quote is very interesting for it disperses the idea that Hitler raged war due to
being an Aryan supremacist. He states quite clearly that he has a problem with
Jews for their belief not race. That is why many German Jews died in WW2
regardless of their Aryan nationality.) “Only in the steady and constant
application of force lies the very first prerequisite for success. This
persistence, however, can always and only arise from a definite spiritual
conviction. Any violence which does not spring from a firm, spiritual base, will
be wavering and uncertain.” –Adolf Hitler Mein Kampf (Here Hitler is admitting
that his war against the Jews were so successful because of his strong Christian
Spirituality.)

Why The West Fears Islam: The Enemy Within WASHINGTON, DC -- When one examines
the West's fear of Islam, and tries to relate it to the reasons usually given --
Muslim fundamentalism, militancy, radicalism, terrorism, totalitarianism -- it
is difficult, if not impossible, to justify this fear on the basis of reasons
given. One has to believe, however, given all the facts and expertise available
to the West, that the fear has to be rational. What is this fear that causes
enemies of the Muslim world to play subtly on the theme of the Crusades in order
to demonize Islam and Muslims? Let us first examine what it is not, before we
draw our conclusion as to the real reason why the West fears Islam. The fear of
Islamic fundamentalism, militancy, radicalism, terrorism, totalitarianism, and
the West's discovery of the "rogue states," appeared quite conveniently with the
fall of the Berlin Wall, and the disintegration of the Soviet Union. Former
Defense Secretary McNamara, in his 1989 testimony before the Senate Budget
Committee, said U.S. defense spending could safely be cut in half. It became
clear that the U.S. had to either undergo massive shifts in spending, a painful
and unwelcome prospect for the defense establishment, or find new justification
for continuing high levels of military expenditures. To provide this
justification the Pentagon manufactured the threat of "rogue states and nuclear
outlaws." The Gulf War was a contrived opportunity to sell this justification to
the American people, to protect oil company profits, and to control the flow of
oil to Europe and Japan which need it much more than does the U.S. The
International Institute for Strategic Studies calculates that the $262 billion
U.S. defense budget accounts for about 37 percent of global military
expenditures. Russia, Japan, and China each will spend about $80 billion, $42
billion, and $7 billion. The six "rogue states" -- Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya,
Syria, North Korea -- have a combined annual military budget of $15 billion. The
U.S. budget for covert operations (U.S. terrorism?) alone is double this amount.
Given the paltry defense expenditures of all the "rogue states" combined, even
after correcting for differences in costs, one has to believe that the "rogue
states" are no match, militarily, for the West. And, leaving aside the morality
of U.S. covert operations which invite retaliation, Muslim terrorists should not
be a major fear. Far more acts of terrorism and violent crime in the U.S.,
according to government statistics, are committed by non-Muslims than Muslims.
And if Muslims do pose a terrorist threat to the U.S., one hears little
discussion of what it is that the terrorists really want. Perhaps, all they want
is for the West to stop interfering in their countries, in ways that we would
never tolerate in the U.S. Islamic totalitarianism, an oxymoron to anyone with
even a rudimentary knowledge of Islam, should not be a Western concern. A Muslim
ruler may be totalitarian, but then her rule would not be Islamic. Furthermore,
the Western record on supporting totalitarian Muslim regimes -- Iran under the
Shah, Iraq before the Gulf War -- and doing business with non democratic regimes
-- China, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia -- speaks for itself. As for fundamentalism,
Islam has no parallel to the U.S. Protestant Christian movement which opposed
modern scientific theory, and which coined the term in 1920 to designate those
"doing battle royal for the fundamentals." Rather Islam has from its birth
stressed the use of reason and logic. Islamic law is based upon the Quran,
examples and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, analogical deduction, consensus
among the learned, and individual reasoning. When the Prophet's contemporaries
heard the words islam and muslim, they understood them as denoting man's
"self-surrender to God" and "one who surrenders himself to God," without
limiting himself to any specific community or denomination, eg. in the Quran,
3:67, where Abraham is spoken of as having "surrendered himself unto God" (kana
musliman), or in 3:52 where the disciples of Jesus say, "Bear thou witness that
we have surrendered ourselves unto God (bianna musliman)." In Arabic, this
original meaning has remained unimpaired. Absent a generally accepted
definition, the label Islamic fundamentalism serves only to obscure issues,
rather than to resolve them. Meanwhile, the Christian Coalition, and the
Zionists and their biblical claim to Palestine appear fundamentalist to many,
yet both are courted by U.S. politicians, and not viewed as a threat. One can go
on eliminating Western arguments against Islam and Muslims. Eventually, one has
to ask, what then is the source of the West's fear of Islam and Muslims? The
late Marshall G. S. Hodgson, in Rethinking World History, states: "[Islam's]
conscious hopes for a godly world order represent one of the most remarkable
undertakings in world history and because its less self-conscious general
cultural heritage is laden with human values." Muslims see the West beset with
broken families, violent crime, drugs. They see a society divided by race,
religion, and huge disparities in income. They long for a peaceful life in which
they may provide for the basic needs of their families, and enjoy the respect
due to all mankind regardless of their race, religion, position, or wealth.
These Muslims see their goals for a more just and compassionate society thwarted
by a corrupt Muslim elite who pursue wealth and power regardless of the cost to
their fellow human beings. They see these elites, who govern not by consensus as
Islam prescribes, permitting outside powers to exploit their country while they
derive few benefits, and find themselves subordinated by Western influences
driving them down the troubled road taken by the West. They see few
opportunities to earn a living because most opportunities are withheld for the
elites and their sycophants. And they see these elites remaining silent when
their faith, which offers solutions to the many social problems that plague the
West, is denigrated in the propaganda which serves to maintain these elites. The
Muslim elites' allies are the defense establishment and the neoimperialists.
Islam's mandate for justice and compassion opposes the primary objective of
these neoimperialists who seek to follow policies outlined in 1948 by "the
leading dove and peace prize winner" Mr. George Kennan, for the U.S. Department
of State. In his top secret Policy Planning Study 23 Mr. Kennan stated in part:
". . . we have about 50% of the world's wealth, but only 6.3% of its population
. . . Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships
which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity . . . To do so, we
will have to dispense with all sentimentality . . . We should cease to talk
about vague and . . . unreal objectives such as human rights, the raising of
living standards, and democratization." To avoid exposure these neoimperialists
and their allies in the U.S. defense establishment, spurred by the enemy within,
divert attention by demonizing Islam and Muslims, thereby fanning the fires of
bigotry and raising unrealistic fears among the people of the West.

Direct Hitler quotes, from http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/quotes_hitler.html
Here's a personal favorite: “Hence today I believe that I am acting in
accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against
the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” Compare this with the Qur'anic
aya: [5.51] "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for
friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for
a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust
people." Question, how many friends did the Nazis have in the Arab world?

hitler caled himself a catholic but in reality he persecuted the christian
church imprisioning and murdering any who questioned his idiocy. I have trouble
believing that he could ever really believe a jew was the son of god. Hitler was
more interested in nordic mysticism and old pagan beliefs of the "aryans" than
christianity. Hitler used christianity to maintain control over the people.

Somewhere I read that one Nazi belief was that the father of Jesus was actually
a Roman soldier with a Germanic bloodline. That this scenario makes of Mary a
fornicator prior to Joseph (the gallant fool) marrying her, didn't seem to
matter to the Nazis. Incidentally, this is just what Jesus' enemies among the
Jews said about him later, namely, that he was a bastard, in addition to being
inspired by the devil. Jesus replied to these enemies, in words to this effect.
"No, I honor my Father, but you do your father the devil's will, which is to
kill me." Sure enough, that's what they did according to the Gospel record, but
not according to Mo/Jibreel/Allah 6 CENTURIES after the fact.

Jews are by definition unbelievers, or they would be called Muslims, people who
accept Mohammad's testimony as true. It follows that these verses from the
Qur'an apply to Jews, being unbelievers/disbelievers...47:4- "Therefore, when ye
meet the Unbelievers (in fight), strike off their heads; at length; then when
you have made wide Slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining
captives." 9:123- "Oh ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers and let
them find harshness in you." 2:191- "Kill them wherever you find them, and drive
them out from wherever they drove you out." 8:12- Remember thy Lord inspired the
angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I
will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their
necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." It is clear from these texts
that your duty as a good Muslim is to kill unbelieving Jews...Now, find in the
Bible (NT) a passage that commands Christians to do the same.

I've decided that calling myself Igor the Infidel allows Muslims to define me,
but why should I do that? They are the ones in error, the ones who believe that
Mohammad was sent by God. In truth the man was a bloody tyrant, a liar and a
usurper who had NO AUTHORITY from God to behave as he did against Jews or
Christians or ANYONE ELSE who opposed his "revelations." He was an imposter,
drunk with his own bloody "successes" and the terrified adulation of idiots who
still bow down to his madness. He is responsible for the deaths of millions,

It occurs to me that while Jesus used a whip to drive the money changers out of
the Temple because they were defiling the place, Mohammad, the "perfect man,"
would have taken a different approach. He would have beheaded the money

into slavery, thereby establishing the "perfect" model for his disciples to
emulate in perpetuity, right?

Hitler had been brought up a Catholic and was impressed by the organization and
power of the Church. Its hierarchical structure, its skill in dealing with human
nature and the unalterable character of its Creed, were all features from which
he claimed to have learned. For the Protestant clergy he felt only contempt:
"They are insignificant little people, submissive as dogs, and they sweat with
embarrassment when you talk to them. They have neither a religion they can take
seriously nor a great position to defend like Rome." It was the "great position"
of the Church that he respected; towards its teachings he showed the sharpest
hostility. In Hitler's eyes Christianity was a religion fit only for slaves; he
detested its ethics and he mocked all talk of a life after death. Hitler saw the
political dangers of strengthening the Church by persecution, and so he
restrained his attacks on it. Once the war was over, he promised himself, he
would root out and destroy the influence of the Christian churches in Germany,
but until then he was a good deal more cautious than some of his followers in
attacking the Church publicly. Earnest efforts to establish self-conscious pagan
rites roused his scorn and ridicule. The truth is that Hitler was a complete
materialist, without understanding of either the spiritual side of human life or
its emotional, affective side. Emotion to him was the raw material of power. His
entire life was one of pursuit of power. Hitler: A Study in Tyranny, by Alan

The connection between Hitler and Christianity is untenable. Hitler was baptized
a Catholic but he did not adhere to Catholic doctrine nor have any love for
Christianity. Simply because I references bible passages does not make him a
Christian especially given the fact he was the author of one of the greatest
crimes against humanity, the Holocaust. I would refer you to the book "Hitler,
the War, and the Pope" by Rychlak. It is a known fact that the Pope, while a
Bishop spoke against Nazism. Also, the concentration camps contained not only
jews, gypsies, homosexuals, and the infirmed but also priests and nuns. In fact,
there is a famous Catholic priest named Kolbe who took the place of a man
condemned to death. If Hitler was such a friend of the Church and Christianity,
then why did he persecute it?

"In 1941, Martin Bormann, a close associate of Hitler said publicly "National
Socialism and Christianity are irreconcilable" In 1942 he also declared in a
confidential memo to Gauleiters that the Christian Churches 'must absolutely and
finally be broken.' Thus, it is evident that he believed Nazism, based as it was
on a 'scientific' world-view, to be completely incompatible with Christianity"
[a quote from the Jewish Virtual Library, from a Wikipedia aticle: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazism_and_Religion
] ------ It is a pitty that the discussion has come to a pissing contest about
Hitler's religion (which more than obviously was Racial Violence In The Name Of
Some Pseudo-Proto Indoeuropean Mithology), when there is a way more substantial
question to be asked: what did the self-called Christians during the III Reich?
Why couldn't they stop this crime from within? And I am not saying that there is
a white & black, easy answer to that. But THIS is the question worth asking. The
"Concordat" that the NS Party and the Church signed in the 1933 shows a creepy
simmilarity to the Wahabbi-Saudi pact of 1600 something...

Pope Pius XII has been skewered by many for his failure to speak up more
forcefully against the Nazi threat, but immediately post WWII he was hailed by
Jewish orgs as a savior of many thousands of Italian Jews. He did what he could
prudentially do, the operative word being prudence. The Nazis were known for
exacting a terrible revenge on critics. Just ask the Dutch. This is how Anne
Frank wound up at Auschwitz. As for German Christian opposition, you are aware
of Dietrich Bonhoeffer? He was involved in the plot to assassinate Hitler, and
was among the last to be hung by the soon-to-be-destroyed Nazi regime. Read

Yes, I was aware of these facts. That's why I said that it is far from easy to
answer. Because, you see, the heroism and self-sacrifice of many Christians
notwithstanding, the fact is that Nazism was a *mass* phenomenon in Germany (and
not only there), and the Christians *failed* to stop it from within, on a
religious ground. It had to be defeated military by a foreign ocupational force
(the Allies), which, of course, took a toll on Europe and shaped its geopolitics
for ever (be alone for the fact that the Allies, because of realpolitics, had to
negotiate with the Soviets). So the question is... why did they fail?. And also:
aren't we (as a culture) about to incurr in the same mistake of European
Christians during the rise of Nazism? Many questions, as you see. But that's the
good thing about questions - they force us to think.:)

I suppose that it could be argued that Constantine's decision to make
Christianity the imperial religion made Hitler's rise to power inevitable, as
well as U.S. involvement in WWII, and the establishment of Israel as a state
after almost 2000 years of diaspora, to the great umbrage of the Arab/Muslim
world to this very day...So then, why did the majority of German Christians fail
to see the danger that Hitler posed and collectively stop him? Maybe they hadn't
read Mein Kampf, or worse, they had and agreed with his scapegoating of the
Jews, much as members of the Ku Klux Klan in the U.S. could justify hating
blacks because they were the "cursed" children of Ham, or some such Genesis
inspired rubbish. How many Christian Klansmen approved of lynching? How could
German Christians not know what was going on at the "camps?"...If your fear is
that for the sake of political correctness Western Civilization (or what's left
of it) is dhimmifying itself to accomodate Islam's "sensitivities," I tend to
share it. I expect this business to get much bloodier and nastier before it is
over, in 30 or so years and after the deaths of hundreds of millions. Yes, I am
THAT pessimistic, even as a Christian.
