Regarding your Allah failing me to raise the money, you probably have a point, since I did not get close to what I wanted to raise this time round.

I understand that it is hard to give away hard earned money. But your Allah's ploy to undo my effort is not very smart. I have a contingency plan your Allah is not aware of. That plan is, I will move to a cheaper place from this expensive western country. That will allow me to live on my saving >3 times longer, enabling to me to dedicate to Islam-watch for another 4-5 years without earning any money.

By then, I am expecting Islam-watch will achieve the target I had set prior to its launch. I will be happy to let others take hold the rein of this site.

How come Muslims say they are against idolatry and yet they bow to the Kaaba 5 times per day (i.e. facing Mecca) and also kiss the black stone as part of the Meccan pilgrimage ritual? What is this if not idolatry? The fact is that many aspects of the hajj rituals (pilgrimage) are pagan in origin and were already well established long before Muhammad was even born. I think if anyone should be watched then it should be the Israeli government, they are the ones who are violating international human rights law. The Nazi holocaust is one of the most documented events of modern history. I'm not sure why it is that teaching this historical fact is offensive to Muslims as it did not only affect Jews, but others too such as Gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses, communists, homosexuals, and anyone whom the Nazis felt were a threat. It is laughable how whenever Israelis take counter measures in reaction to Hezbollah rocket attacks that are fired into Israeli civilian areas from bases that are hidden in the middle of the Palestinian population, including children's schools and mosques, Islamic fundamentalist thugs see it as an unprovoked attack. Further, while certainly no one in the West rejoices over the death of human activist Rachel Corrie by a bulldozer, maybe it would have been a real good idea to not be standing in front of it. Rizwan, with all due respect, many of us have read the Koran and Hadith and analyzed it for ourselves as you suggest we should do...I am sure with even more analysis than Muslim children who learn to recite it but do not appreciate what they are saying, and dare not question when they get old enough to think. The vague wording of the Koran allows for reading scientific discovery into it if you are already primed to believe it. As for a "manual of life"....The proof that determines whether the Koran is from God or not, is that God would not enforce a code of morality for all people and then allow the so-called prophet to break that code when it is convenient for him, especially in sexual matters that go against all common decency....marriage to a 6-year old (Ayisha), marriage to an ex-daughter-in-law (Zeynab), and having 14 wives when his followers were already generously allowed a maximum of four. What you refer to as a "manual of life" is what has inspired the kidnapping and beheading of innocent people, women as 2nd class citizens, stealing planes and crashing them into buildings, etc. ..all in imitation of Muhammad and heeding his call. People calling themselves "Christian" have also behaved very badly, but they cannot point to the Bible for justification for their actions. However, Islamic fundamentalists have all the proof they need from the Koran for their actions which is why you rarely, if ever, hear of any outrage and protest from Mullahs and Imams. Many of the things that have been discussed here come from the Koran and Hadith. Many other things are from well documented current events. They are not things that have been invented. In fact, Arab and Persian intellectuals who grew up in Islam were often executed for daring to question the world's most intolerant religion....Ibn Al Muqaffa (executed 760 AD), Ibn Abi Al Awja (executed 772 AD), Bashar Ibn Burd (killed 785 AD), Saleh Al Quddus (executed 783 AD), Hammad Arjad (executed), Al Sarakhsi (executed 899 AD). Muslims worship Allah. Correct? We are told that Allah means "God" and that he is the same God of the Jews and Christians. Now my understanding is that Mohammed's father, who was a pagan and died when Mohammed was very young, was named "Abdallah". This name "Abdallah" in Arabic means "Slave of Allah". We are told that Allah (supposedly the true God of Christians and Jews) sent Gabriel to reveal Him and His message for the first time to Arabs through Mohammed (by this time a young man) when he was alone in a cave. So how is it that Mohammed's father, a PAGAN, had the name "Slave of Allah", if Allah is the true God of Christians and Jews? Wouldn't this name "Slave of Allah" actually show Allah as being one of the many pagan dieties that Meccans were worshipping all along???? How can a pagan man be named by his parents (Mohammed's grandparents) Abdallah ("Slave of Allah") if Allah had not yet sent Gabriel to Mohammed in the cave? It doesn't add up.

If Islam has improved the quality of life for women, as is claimed by Muslims, then how is that consistent with the Koran teaching that a woman's testimony in court is not to be taken as seriously as a man's? How come a woman has a lesser share of the family inheritance? How come that poor woman recently gang raped by 7 men in Saudi Arabia was charged with adultery and sentenced to 90 lashes?? And when she appealed the sentence her punishment was increased to 200 lashes and her lawyer was disbarred for talking to the media. This is Islamic "justice"? If Islam has improved the quality of life for Muslim women, then I shudder to think what life must have been like for them BEFORE Islam.

Muslims might find it offensive when Christians tell them what Islam is about. Yet Muhammad is equally guilty of presumption when it comes to the trinity. While I do not believe in the trinity myself since it is not taught in the Bible (that's another subject for another time), as all are aware, this church doctrine teaches that God the Father, Christ the Son, and the holy spirit are 3 persons in one. This is where it becomes humorous because Muhammad did not get it right as he thought the doctrine included Mary, not the holy spirit. If Muhammad thought the trinity was God, Son, and Mary, then he got it wrong which makes his "reminder" of monotheism to people who didn't believe what he thought they did, rather a moot point. He couldn't research the trinity since he was illiterate. One of his 14 wives was apparently Coptic (Egyptian Christians who are trinitarian), but he obviously did not listen to her on this subject. Finally, Allah did not correct the prophet on the matter before he opened his big mouth.

I had to read with amusement how religious leaders in some Islamic states have outlawed eyebrow plucking, apparantly because it "goes against what Allah has created". If that is the case then why are Muslim males routinely circumcized at birth? Worse yet, why do some Islamic countries practice female genital mutilation....the complete removal of the clitoris and in many cases even the labia minora (when the young girl reaches puberty)? At least with male circumcision, sexual pleasure is not interfered with, but that is not the case with female mutilation. What is that if not going against what Allah created? And they worry about eyebrow plucking?
