CALLING THE JEWS: MUHAMMAD’S SECOND ATTEMPT AND FAILURE TO ‘ATTAIN’ (POWER) ALLAH

In his first attempt, Muhammad tried to seize the custodianship of the rich revenue-generating Pagan temple of Kaaba in Mecca, the most revered center of idol-worship in Arabia. But his effort failed and even preaching his religion in Mecca became difficult. Next, he turned his attention toward Jerusalem, probably the-then most revered holy city in the World, where stood the Jewish holy Temple of Jerusalem, which Muhammad gave the name of Bait Al-Maqsid, and also holiest place for Christians. So, he planned to migrate to Medina that had a dominant population of Jews. Before migrating there, Muhammad sent his followers to prepare preliminary support for him. After arriving at Medina, Muhammad gave up all the Pagan rituals, such as Allah of the Kaaba, fasting on Ashura (Muharram), praying toward the Kaaba and Haj pilgrimage etc.

On the other hand, in his plan to take over the holiest Jewish temple of Jerusalem, he, imitating the Jews, started saying prayers toward the temple of Jerusalem, sought judicial references from the Jewish Torah, and adopted the fasting of ‘Yom Kippur’ on the 10th day of the Jewish month of Tishrei. Jerusalem has no connection to the Kaaba, and the Jewish ‘Yom Kippur’ fasting (on 10th Tishrei) has nothing to do with Pagan fasting of ‘Ashura’ (on 10th of Muharram). The only similarity between these two fasting is the ‘Tenth Day’, which mean ‘Ashura’ in Arabic and ‘Assara’ in Hebrew. Taking advantage of the similarity between the Arabic and the Hebrew terms ‘Ashura’ & ‘Assara’, Islamic scriptures continue deceiving the ignorant Muslims as well as non-Muslims.

Narrated Abu Musa: The day of 'Ashura' was considered as 'Id day by the Jews. So the Prophet ordered, "I recommend you (Muslims) to fast on this day." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:222-223)

The term ‘Ashura’ in the above hadith is meant for the 10th day of Hebrew month ‘Tishrei’. It has no connection with the Pagan month ‘Muharram’.

Muhammad also copied and incorporated other Jewish rituals and customs, such circumcision, ablution (wudu), prohibition of pig meat etc. He also started creating verses referring to stories of the Jewish scripture. And soon, he started claiming that he was also sent by Allah as a prophet of the Jews to preach the message of the Torah in its true form, and demanded that the Jews accept him as such. On this claim of his, the Jews started examining his revelations and found many inaccuracies and contradictions in it. So, they understood his real intention and started mocking his creed, citing those errors.

Muhammad realized that his soft approach toward the Jews won’t work. So, he turned his back toward them and started praying toward Mecca again, showing his ‘back’ toward the Jewish temple at Jerusalem. He also disbanded the fasting on ‘Yom Kippur’ and adopted fasting throughout the month of Ramadan. This time, the idea of fasting the whole month was borrowed from the tradition of the Sabeans from Yemen and the Christians. The following hadiths explain how Muhammad adopted Jewish fasting and how threw it away after becoming militarily strong.

MUHAMMAD’S LOVE TOWARDS JEWISH ‘ASHURA’ WHEN HE TRIED TO PERSUADE THE JEWS

  1. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of ‘Ashura’. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day). (Sahih al-Bukhari 3:222)
  2. Narrated Abu Musa: The day of 'Ashura' was considered as 'Id day by the Jews. So the Prophet ordered, "I recommend you (Muslims) to fast on this day." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:223 &225)

MUHAMMAD’S HATE TOWARD JEWISH ‘ASHURA’ WHEN HE FAILED TO PERSUADE THEM

Muhammad's deception of ‘Yom Kippur’ fasting and praying toward Jerusalem continued for 17 months. When Muhammad realized that it is hard to win over the Jews by his cunning tricks, he took 180 degree turn to pray toward the Pagan God Allah and faced toward Mecca again. This was not to please Allah or the Pagans, but to insult the Jews and their religion. To cancel the ‘Yom Kippur’ fast of the Jews, ‘Ashura’ of the Pagans, and to abrogate the four sacred months of the Pagans, Muhammad badly needed a new sacred month to justify Islam as a new religion. So he preferred to choose the Arabic month of Ramadan as a sacred month and ordained fasting during the month. This idea of fasting was borrowed from the Sabeans, who fast for a month during Ramadan. It was also guided by the Christian Bible that recommends forty days of fasting, Muhammad taking a middle path.

The following hadiths says how Muhammad tried to insult Jews by mocking their “Ashura” fasting after they rejected his religion:

Narrated 'Aisha: Allah's Apostle ordered (the Muslims) to fast on the day of 'Ashura', and when fasting in the month of Ramadan was prescribed, it became optional for one to fast on that day ('Ashura') or not. (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:218-219; Sahih Muslim Hadith 2514)

The Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “Observe the fast of Aashura and oppose the Jews. Fast a day before it or a day after.” (Baihaqi)

Ibn Abbas (RA) stated: “When Rasulullah (SAW) observed the fast of the day of Aashura and ordered (his Companions) to fast, they said: ‘O Rasulullah! It is a day revered (glorified) by the Jews and Christians.’ Thereupon Rasulullah said: “The coming year, if Allah wills (I remain alive), I will for surely fast on the ninth (also).” (Sahih Muslim)

The Quran does not ordain Muslims to fast on ‘Ashura’. It is found only in the Sunna.

CONTRADICTIONS BETWEEN PAGAN ‘ASHURA’ AND JEWISH ‘ASHURA’

In their lectures, our Mullahs conveniently forget to mention the hadith numbers of their quotes. They do this deliberately so as to prevent the Muslim listeners from cross-checking them, lest they will understand the real truth, and discover all the lunacy, ‘scientific’ ignorance and the contradictions that fill the Quran and Sunnah.

The following hadiths are the minute example of such contradictions.

Narrated 'Aisha: 'Ashura' (i.e. the tenth of Muharram) was a day on which the tribe of Quraish used to fast in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance. The Prophet also used to fast on this day. So when he migrated to Medina, he fasted on it and ordered (the Muslims) to fast on it. When the fasting of Ramadan was enjoined, it became optional for the people to fast or not to fast on the day of Ashura. (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:172)

This hadith states that the Quresh used to fast on the day of Ashura, so did Muhammad and his Muslims. After migrating to Medina, he ordered the Medinan Muslims to fast on that day as well. Thus, Muhammad had promoted Ashura fasting of the Quresh among the Medinans.

Now read the following hadith carefully and find the contradiction:-

  1. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura.
So the Prophet ordered, "I recommend you (Muslims) to fast on this day." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:223)

These two hadith state that the ‘Ashura’ fasting was practiced by the Jews, and Muhammad was attracted to it. So, he incorporated it into Islam.

Which of above two sets of contradictory hadiths is true? The Jews adopted the Pagan ritual of Ashura or the Pagans adopted the Jewish ritual of Ashura? In either case, one of the above two sets of hadith is false. In this way, 50% of the hadith scriptures are found to be filled with lies and contradictions. Yet, without the hadiths, nothing can be understood about Islam by the Quran alone. Without explanations from the ahadith, the Quran reads like illegible garbage.

DECEPTIVE ARABIC WORD ‘ASHURA’

The following hadiths are the part of Islamic deception, to ‘show’ that the 10th of Tishrei of the Jews and the 10th of Muharram of the pagans are the same.

PAGANS’ FAST ON ‘ASHURA’ (10TH of Muharram on pagans’ calendar)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: “The Prophet observed the fast on the 10th of Muharram ('Ashura), and ordered (Muslims) to fast on that day……” (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:116)

JEWS’ FAST ON ‘YON KIPPUR’ (ASHURA) (on the 10th of Tishrei of Jewish calendar)

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: “The Prophet came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. (Sahih Al-Bukhari 3:222-224)

The Jew’s fasting on ‘Yom Kippur’ (on the 10th Tishrei) had nothing to do with the Pagan fasting of ‘Ashura’ (on the 10th of Muharram). The only similarity between these two fasting is the ‘Tenth Day’, which mean ‘Ashura’ in Arabic and ‘Assara’ in Hebrew. Taking advantage of the similarity between the Arabic and Hebrew terms ‘Ashura’ & ‘Assara’, the Islamic scriptures are deceiving the ignorant Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

For example the fasting of Jewish ‘Ashura’ or ‘Yom Kippur’ on the 10th of Tishrei falls on 14th September of this year (2013), while the fasting of the Pagan ‘Ashura’ false on the 14th November.

CONCLUSION

Dear Muslim brethren. I hope by now you have clearly seen how our prophet played all kind of tricks and games in formulating Islamic doctrines and rituals. You have seen clear examples of deceptions and contradictions played out in our sacred scriptures. Once you start studying the original Islamic scriptures, I’m sure you too will discover all these, and start sharing them with others through writing. There are numerous such deceptions, lies and contradictions spread all over the sacred Islamic scriptures, which you will not stop discovering even if you keep studying it throughout your whole life.

In the next part let us verify Muhammad’s copying of the Sabian and Christian fast to finalize the Ramadan as the fasting month. I will also highlight how Muhammad had taken advantages of the sacred months.
